Avoid this design of paddling pool unless you like spending half the weekend filling and emptying it. Due to the design, the water content gives the pool its shape; hence you need SO much water in it otherwise it's not really usable. On a related note, draining is equally cumbersome given the resevoir-like levels of water needed. If you happen to have a large flat area where this can stay for any length of time, a way of draining it easily ([pump, drain nearby) then great, otherwise it really is a PITA.

I spoke to them earlier this week and the chap said the £20 comes from quidco so you get that PLUS the £2.89 from the works. He said it would be applied to my account within 2 days. Please remember when going into this hotel to set your watch back 20 years to match the decor and feel of this place. I'm regularly there on the business as it's only 4 minutes from my house and it's naff place. Last time we was there the kitchen was only able to make sandwiches and no hot drinks. Although it has been recently taken over by Holiday Inn and is being converted so maybe it'll improve. As for "on the edge of the Peak District" you need to drive about 40 minutes before you cross into that area and are actually in the Peaks

As usual with these type of hotel deals, the description is misleading. It claims the hotel is "near" the Peak District then goes on to say it's actually 35 minutes drive away - that's not near! To me, the word "near" implies that it's within walking distance - not everybody drives a car. And far from the idyllic rural retreat it's painted as, the actual location is in the rundown former pit village of South Normantan right next to the M1. Cold.
