The dial uses a mechanism that adjusts the length by pushing out the guard. But one day I was replacing the guard and the mechanism broke inside which means it no longer adjusts, ie. the dial can be rotated but the guard no longer moves. Not a great build quality mechanism that lasts, in my opinion.

For anyone who can be bothered, I took my old one apart using the YouTube videos for the MB200. Only difference is the MB320 uses AAA batteries rather than the AA in the MB200.

Search YouTube for MB200 battery, that's the previous incarnation.

Got this for a similar price about 5 years ago. Gave me a nasty cut once where the plastic protector must have nic'd a pore as I pulled downwards on my throat, a string on skin hanging loose afterwards. Although I was pushing down fairly hard to be fair. Wish there was a shaver with some kind of fine comb thing at the front to lift hair up. This misses quite a few so you have to go over multiple times (better than other shavers I've tried so far though). Battery life doesn't exist on mine anymore, but still works great corded otherwise. I still use it for the man regions without the guard, although I don't push as hard on those.

I wish manufacturers would allow us to change batteries on these things. Not very eco friendly are they?
