Standard price.. Argos and curry’s doing them same price. They were £30 around Xmas time which i missed out on

i paid £35 2 years ago from ao.com

jimmyshin

These are regularly £30 somewhere or other. Admittedly nowhere I can see at the mo, but this is still 'standard' price

thanks, very interesting (y)

You can get reusable pods made of plastic/ silicone which last for years. Fill with your favourite filter coffee xx

(shock) £109.99 @ Argos? CHANCERS . Like OK, back in the day we couldn't find 5 minutes to jump on a keyboard, and surf 8) (or pre HUKD days <3 ) but NOW? Oh well, it made me smile, so I guess I should thank...Argos , but remember that Tassimo compatibles (pods) are rare (unlike with DG's) so the prices are never gonna be the cheapest, hence the near giveaway price especially when you factor in the £20 (2X£10) vouchers. SO I guess it's a toss-up in this price rang, between Tassimo, and some Dolce Gusto offerings. Horses fer courses people, horses fer courses. :)

If your recycling conscious Terracycle are the recycling partner, terracycle.com/en-…lor Currently poor recycling options, 1 site for Scotland, A dozen in Wales, Zero for NI, with many parts of England having nothing A high volume, single use plastic this is very poor for a product sold in most UK supermarkets, not very green

This offering is SOLD by Lidl, but is a TASSIMO and as such? is restricted to using TASSIMO pods 99.9% of the time = expensive (fierce) where as a Dolce Gusto (a compatible machine price range/function wise...and I have both) will accept CHEAPER compatible pods, found in the likes of Lidl, Aldi B&M etc...etc. It will ALSO be useful 24/7, because you can use em (DG's) to simply deliver water fer any reason...hot or cold without a drinks pod, the need to replace the spout OR insert a special water disc, as (sadly) is the case with the Tassimo ;) SO If yer wanna machine that will be used daily? (not a fad) it should be a DG, and as a bonus? you do see some weird and wonderful designs of DG on offer... so strange some of em, you'd never know they were coffee machines, honest. It's good to have choices methinks :D

fuzzz83

Would the Lidl one take Aldi pods please? Or does it only take it's own?

AlDavis

I'm off the pods ATM I have both Tassimo & DG, 2 Tassimos in fact. 1 Tassimo has it's spout in, so is used fer pod drinks...the other is used fer anything else BUT pod drinks, mostly tea (bags) and instant coffee, and it's been this way fer 5+ years and it works fer me and up to 3 people. It has the special disc inserted that delivers 150, 250, 350 or 450 ml of water via a bar code. And the DG? will do whatEVER I want, pod OR non pod drinks. I also have a kettle (shock) but it's hardly ever used (horror) Horses fer courses my friend, horses fer courses, whatEVER works fer you.

lasuil

I've had a dolce gusto machine for over 9 years now and never used it for anything other than pod drinks. I don't think many people have these instead of a kettle

AlDavis

MOST welcome It's good to have options AND alternatives, depending on yer requirements (y) 2 machines basically the same in that they both make pod drinks and other stuff but the DG? can do the other stuff easier.

Nice deal. Thanks for sharing :)

AlDavis

The cleaning disk? true, but THAT is designed to deliver a tiny amount over a period of the cleaning cycle ...isn't it? else what would be the point OF the special water disk (confused) With 1 of my Tassimos I have the special "water" disk, the one with 4 barcodes on it, designed to deliver 150, 250, 350 and 450 ml (of hot water only) but it requires the removal (simple pop-out) of the spout, where as the Dolce Gusto has no need of a special disk or anything.

DaiB

Recycle the TDiscs where you can, Terracycle are the recycling partner, pester them if there are no facilities near you terracycle.com/en-…lor Poor recycling options for a single use plastic, 1 site for Scotland, A dozen in Wales, Zero for NI, with many parts of England having nothing. Sold in most UK supermarkets, and online the options for recycling are poor

apjashley1

Yeah you can just put the cleaning disk in (only hot water comes out)

AlDavis

Nice machine I first noticed it a few minutes ago, with a Tassimo coffee subscription deal (via this site & "searching" Amazon deals) Haven't checked it out, but I doubt you could opt to deliver JUST water, as you can with Dolce Gusto, making them (D G's) everyday multi functional machines. STILL Effectively £39.99 I guess, if yer take the expected 2 x £10 vouchers into account, then what about any cashback options if any? every little helps ;)

Same, I had a nice looking food processor in basket, voucher applied, went to check with the wife and when I came back to complete checkout it had vanished. Kinda bummed.

Is there a difference between my way( eBay one ) vs my way 2 ( newer one ) . Model numbers are different

sane4sure

Many thanks for this - looking forward to getting it and giving it a try now. (y)

sane4sure

Anyone recommend the best value place to get the pods online?

justonemorepie

I have used a number of Tassimo machines including the MyWay. This is the best tassimo so far. You can set cup size and strength for three or four users each having their own button. When we bought ourselves for work they were double this price and still a worthwhile buy.

sane4sure

Great - may thanks. Worth a punt at the price I guess. Should save a fortune on coffee shop prices and get me some brownie points during lockdown!
