I was fuelling up earlier at a local esso and I asked to scan my nectar card which the cashier reluctantly did on the POS system it flashed up saying save 5p per litre of fuel I went to click yes and the woman leaned over and clicked no
I asked her why she did it and she didn’t respond I then said cancel and re process the transaction to which she said no they only give nectar points no discounts
Seems a bit strange anyone know if this is allowed ?

I’ve argued the point over price a few times.
Big bill board says £1.20L and charged £1.27L at the till.
I said here is the correct amount for advertised price.

I suspect the cashier was having her bonus interfered with or something. (edited)
It also has the lowest prices in our town generally, forcing the only nearby supermarket to match or undercut by 1p.
Next time demand to see the paperwork that says you can't have both
