All Cafetiere Discounts, Offers and Sale - April 2018
Heat added. I don't need it but want it. Thanks.
It's very pretty
I have one of these, plus a smaller version of the same thing. Very highly recommended, being well-made and useful. It's not just a rather elegant thermos flask, it's a cafetiere coffee maker - put in your ground coffee, add hot water, stir and leave for a few minutes. Then press down the plunger (using the knob on top) to push the grounds to the bottom, and pour. The best way of making coffee in my opinion (possibly apart from an expensive espresso machine). The capacity is equivalent to three medium-sized mugs. It's pretty good at keeping coffee hot, especially when full. The top section turns and seals the pouring hole when not in use to reduce heat loss. The plunger comes apart easily for cleaning, and the mesh shows no signs of wear after several years of daily use.
It's the most stunning cafeteria I've seen in a good while.
It's a way of making fresh coffee. The fact that it keeps it hotter for longer than a standard cafetiere is merely a selling point not the basis of its function.
Very sleek. I like.
So basically its a thermos flask !!! to keep coffee warm
Went instore earlier - Seen the cafetieres - They look to be about 1L, hardly tiny. £9 to buy on their own. Couldn't for the life of me find any hampers, though .
£13 at my local Morrisons
Thanks....Think I'll pass, then.
why is this hot? it’s £13 NOT £10
enough for 1 big mug or 2 cups. tiny
Bought the silver one for the same price in store at the weekend. Cheaper than the basic black plastic one they sell!
Will this stay copper or turn silver within a few weeks like Aldis copper kitchen appliances, the cutlery was silver after one wash!
Great deal but £25 min spend for delivery and £40 for click and collect.
shows not available when i login
Price is now £8.65. :(
Damn. Just received a shed load of brown mugs from the earlier deal, enough to last us for the next ten years. Prefer the red colour. :(
Ok thanks. Didnt notice myself will have a look
No. It's where the red body meets the plastic rim at the top.
Is that with the lid on? Received mine today and it seems fine apart from the slippy base which could cause a problem. Need some stick on rubber really.
I got mine too yesterday just reading the instruction Re:care it says "Dish washer safe Top Rack only" does that mean the lid only? Also I'm searching for a nice quality coffee if you have any recommendation please let me know. I've never had coffee with cafetière before.
Received mine today and made my first cup. Yes, there is a hole in it and only very tiny amount of grounds was managed to come out. Doesn't seem to be a very big problem. Hope this helps.
some of them leak into the inside of the cup. I have few from different sources and some leak inside some don't. still a great product, ta all!#
I had one of these a few years back. Excellent to take to work for some fresh coffee.
Yup, mine had a hole in it. Bit of sanitary silicone to plug it, job done. Well worth the money. 😋
sorry I don't mean amazon would pass all your details, but scammers has loads of way to combine all they gotten and get a full picture from all other resources. They might just as initial attempt to sell what they get hold to other scam business (remember how aboard-call-centre staffs selling personal details problem on news). For eg, they might use all they get to send fraudulent emails/phone calls to do lots of criminal attempts. I could not really tell how these run their business but we could read all the horrible cases when google it Most important, I just want to point out the money might go to gangs to pay for corrupted third world government to empower their underworld, global slavery, horrible global human trafficking etc.
Are you sugessting amazon give payment details to marketplace sellers?
Wouldn't be getting anything from the £2.98 sellers, all new, more like scammers which are appearing more often these days on amazon, in my experience.
be very careful with those new market sellers (loads lately from USA), they just scams. So many on amazon nowadays. google "amazon uk marketplasce scam new usa seller" amazon uk marketplasce scam new usa seller it seems just a little money for us, but this scammers list thousands fake listings under different names and sell over tens thousands of money in such short time and disappear. What most worries are that such money would be used by gangs to pay for corrupted third world government, global slavery, horrible human trafficking etc also some suggest those scammer setting such account to gather buyers details for further fraudulents. So be very careful.
Good price, but also available for £2.98 with free delivery from other sellers - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/ol/B00COEXKJI/ref=mw_dp_olp?ie=UTF8&condition=new
Yes, i will, not seen these before and they look really nice.
Shame you missed it, keep an eye out as sometimes the stock comes back in stock. Anyway i have asked for this to be expired.
Would have been nice but OOS:(
Great find! Thanks for posting, OP. Heat Added.
Not tried the boil before I just let it do its thing. And no idea on the mill grind as have a bodrum electric grinder for the beans. Just cut it as fine as possible. Moka is just combine your cocoa powder with the expresso first then just add the frothy milk last. The amount of expresso = strength preference, add all for strong... yarda yarda
Thanks niknax. I have the hario mini mill was wondering how many clicks i'd need for the moka grind.. To speed things up, wouldn't it be easier to boil the water in an electric kettle and then on the stovetop have the heat on the lowest setting?
Grind = expresso (compacted about 3mm from top) Water = 1-2mm below safety valve Medium heat Take off heat just after last spurt Use for latte/ American you know the rest. Bean by preference but I think the stronger the better. Ive had 3 coffees since this response for 2 people perfect every time. Glad I've help someone get there caffeine fix.
Thanks ninnax2010. I bought the 3 cup one. Care to share your recipe i.e water, grind settings etc?
Word of warning, don't put it on a high heat, slowly boil the water otherwise it will shoot out hot scolding water at you. Low and slow and watch that black gold flow...... Fascinating and so simple!!
I love Bodum, thanks Monk matey :)
Back in Stock. ...ordered
back in stock, thanks
Just had email back in stock at £7.50. Ordered but will wait for confirmation email fingers crossed. Thanks OP:D
Will look in store - certainly not paying the extra £2 for C & C that Tesco rook you out of these days. :| But heat for the spot.....
were tempted as well, ill give it a miss, thanks
Online says 0.35l. Got delivered, on box says 0.2l. Tiny mugs not fit for purpose.
You would probably be able to get a can of Coke in 2 mugs
The ones I bought definitely were not big enough for a can of Coke, very much on the small side
Good spot. Will match other red bodum stuff we don't need. Bought.
Loads at Crewe store last week.
loads in tesco wigan
Why didn't you return it? What was so bad?
I bought one and it last 3 coffees :( now in the bin
yea proper 'cafeteria'
I would go for a proper cafeteria from ur local Italian shop if you have one
I got some at Tesco Cam (Dursley Glos.).
This price in Harlow Metro last week...
Thanks for update.
Unless OP happens to live near me and we use the same branch, then this is also in my store (Aston Lane, Birmingham) making it a national rather than local deal. I opted for the 200g bags of Douwe Egberts at 79p rather than this is, as I prefer it stronger. Loads of stock on the shelves if anyone is in the local area.
Marked as hot but not my favourite coffee. Taylors of Harrogate is one of the best from supermarkets.
Iv got a Bodum 8 cup Kenya to sell Check on fs thread if anyone fancies
I thought it was £4.99 then I read "delivered".
Only £4.99 on Amazon as just checked so dont know where the £8.29 comes from! Thats the price i paid too just after xmas.
I've used these for a few years now. Great for the office or camping/festivals etc!
