That does tend to be what happens on Amazon, ordered 2 about 20 mins or so ago @ £5.77 each for my loft conversion but even a £6 it's still cheap for a named brand.
£6 now :S
Price is £5.77 now (though I haven't looked at the link for a while), so it may well be doing a slow climb upwards..
I did the same thing yesterday - asked if a mech keyboard had double shot caps - lo and behold, reading back a few members mentioned it already, and the thread isn't that long. I usually read an entire thread but if you have distractions - we all do it!
Bollox, I saw they had the Studio on clearance a month ago. I really wanted the Boulevard but it was full price so made do with the studio as I needed 3. Wish I’d waited now. On the plus side I can confirm they are pretty decent quality for a fiver. And the pictures are representative of how they look in the metal.
Thanks OP. Preston store was showing as 13 of the 4L version in stock. Went down there this evening and they appeared to have 3. Luckily I only needed the one! Used the old Trade Pro and got it for £13.50 - bargain. Feels really solid and looks nice for the lads room.
Even when they confirm your C&C item is there it may not be. I've experienced their incompetence too many times at more than one store to assume it was just a glitch.
c&c useless with every Wickes even when item show in stock you go and look and there's nothing
sorry to hear that. i haven't used wickes often these days or their click and collect. have used it a couple of times in the past few years and always been great. maybe store specific, the issue with click and collect. i saw these spot lights when i was looking at another ceiling light flagged up on hukd and did think these were very good value, but i don't need spot lights.
Never miss a 'Ceiling Light' deal again!

hey. i had decided to give the chandeliers away but after reading your comment, i thought maybe i am being too hasty and that it has more value than the light in this post, although the light in this post is great value. so i decided to clean it and give it a bit of varnish and now it looks quite decent so i am going to keep it. thanks for commenting and making me rethink my action (y)
Don't suppose you're looking to offload the chandelier are you? (ninja)
tried this code but wasn't accepted. update - the code is TRADEPRO but you have to a trade pro account with wickes so doesn't work for me. thanks OP - ordered as we have an ancient chandelier in our dining room that must have been made in the 20s! XD
Thanks order last one for £9... Usecode TREADPRO 10% off
None for me in Farnborough 😩😩😩
Can you dim the light from the app if it is used on a standard on and off switch for the light?
Got mine yesterday, fitted within 20 mins, it can go very bright and is improvement on the Yee light bulb it replaced. The only slight downside is the fixing plate does not fit over the ceiling rose, I had to make spacers to provide an even gap between the ceiling and the fixing plate. When this is back in stock I will be buying another 1 or 2
Some youtuber giving the rundown of all the yeelight switches. Damned if i can remember who.
Link to review please.

I see what you did there! ;) Very tempted to now order one solely on the basis of your detailed review! Thank you!
For anybody who is interested or on the fence.. Having received this light fitting and speaking as an electrician who knows a thing or 2 about these things, i am happy tl offer my 2 cents. This is the best quality light fitting I've ever installed. It's got a great base with lots of fixing holes so that you have options, and good quality screws and plugs for different substrates. The terminals are push fit instead of screw and very secure. The light fitting itself clips onto the base where the connections are made and electrical contact is made with a similar ring like on a cordless kettle. Getting it in is a slight fiddle but no sweat in the scheme of things. The light fitting itself is pretty minimal but looks great imo. I was worried it would look cheap but it really doesn't look. When the light is on is when it really shines. The uniformity of output us great This fitting has good and quality of light output is exceptional (above 95% CRI) so colour rendering is very good, things appear clearly lit. If you don't know the difference it makes to have good quality light then you probably won't want to spend £40 on this fitting but in my view it is very much worth it. It is very bright light but also very controllable and dims down to very very low, much further than any other light I've come across. Being able to change the colour temperature is really nice. Regarding the smart features of the light. To me the benefit of this is that i can configure the lamp to work well with a normal light switch. 3 different preset brightness and colour temperature configurations can be saved in the xiaomi home app. When you switch on initially preset 1 is loaded, you flick the switch off and on again and the lamp moves to preset 2, and then again to preset 3. I've set the default brightness of preset 1 to 20 percent and about 3000K as this is plenty bright enough for our purposes. If you flick the switch off and on the light moves to 8 percent brightness and much warmer output for later at night. this means you have a great lamp for any room that, once configured, works great in a non smart way too, which is great because not everybody wants all that faff in their life. You can set schedules which should be great for helping to wake up or leaving the light on for a while after the kids go to bed. On moonlight mode the light dims really very low so is great for a night light, especially if you pair it with the available motion sensor.(requires gateway i think) From my understanding, you can add as many wireless light switches as you want without adding extra wiring so you could have one on each side of the bed in the master bedroom but i think you need the xiaomi gateway for that to work too. There is a remote control available that doesn't need the gateway. The reviews for the xiaomi home alexa skill are shocking but I've configured it and found that it works fine. I'm getting the xiaomi switches for the wall that leave the power on to the light so the smart functions and voice control can work all the time. I know i probably sound like a salesman but i was really impressed and thought I'd share my experience.
The blurb says for rooms up to 25m2 so you'd probably need 2
Hard to say but I doubt it, can't see any info on the lumens but if it's able to change tone I'm guessing it's 2 x 16w lights (cool and warm) and you vary the power to each to get the tone you want meaning only middle tone (both full power) is actually 32w. Could be wrong though!

Knightsbridge Single Spotlight in Brushed Chrome, Stainless Steel £5.99 Amazon Prime / £10.49 Non Prime£5.99Amazon Deals
Had a couple of these in the past that came with an included hue dimmer switch, that was a bargain at the time. An offer to look out for as I've had 2 of those from separate deals in the past.
The fittings on these are plastic and feel quite flimsy. They do look OK though when installed but are not IP rated so no bathrooms etc. If you just want the GU10 bulb though the saving is only marginal over a new bulb. With Amazon, the savings really come with these and the Centura (Colour GU10) when they have the 30% Warehouse deals as they tend to include these, bringing the price down to approx. £27 per Centura. The only thing to watch out for are the scummers who substitute the bulbs for ordinary GU10's. I've had one out of about 16 Centura units, which Amazon refunded.

I have something similar, but I struggle a bit with aligning the bulbs to get into the holder. I do use the sucker/rubber tool that sticks to the bulb, but don't find it that easy to do.
Thanks, I may dig out my G9 lights again then (y)
