So picked up one for my TV room, well I just ordered 3 more for the bedrooms. THANK YOU! Works with Amazon echo with ease However be sure to pick up a CR2032 battery as the remote will need one.

Love the one fitted in my bedroom. Just ordered 2 more for the lounge. Great value. My stockpile of redundant Philips Hue bulbs continues to grow :( They were not cheap, but the light they produce is too feeble. Apparently these also work with Smartthings so I can automate them I mainly use voice commands these days anyway.

How easy is this to install? Does anyone have the installation instruction I could check?

Ordered this one as I needed more brightness for a larger room. Hopefully it is as good as on on the deal here

Thank you.

I have two of these lamps. And other than my father accidentally switching them on they work fine. You have 3 levels of intensity and on it's brightest setting the room is well lit. There is also a colour cycling mode. But when set to this the lamp isn't very bright. I have no issue with these lamps other than the fact is that when the LED goes there is no way to replace it.

This is a mains powered lamp. Not rechargeable. Definitely bright enough to use as a reading lamp on it’s brightest setting. I paid £33 for it over a year ago, which I still consider reasonable. Very pleased with it.

There is nothing special about these. While I like Aukey, this is just a simple lamp, I've paid half the price for a different brand, delivered from China. It does the job, but very simple lamp, made of plastic. You need to press about 5 times to switch it off, as it goes to all different modes before switching off. OK product for my kids room, nothing fancy to put on your bedside table. Also, not bright enough to have it on when reading, at least mine are not strong enough. I use them for my kids room, on all night long as they don't like dark in the room. Lasts ages before needing recharging, but I do have a small power bank attached to them, just as back up. Good product, but my personal opinion is this is not cheap for what it is. Not voting.

Also - these seem very expensive given they're made of cheap transparent plastic - my Philips ones from years ago are made of glass

that’s what i was going to use it for anyway, I might swap it with a hue bulb if its possible!

T-Shirts look good though. Might be tempted to get one of the tshirts but I won’t be using the code (lol)

The lamps have a singular led bulb that is covered to try and dissipate the light more. If you think of the solar led lights you can buy for your garden. The type where you get 100 for £5 from B & M or homebargains. Take 1 of those led bulbs and stick it in a lamp, thats the brightness you get. Might be able to use as a tiny night light.

Poor how so? Not bright or something else?

For £11, I think I could live with that tbh. I'll be taking it to pieces to see how it works anyways. Maybe I can come up with a solution.

If you watch this video, you can see that's exactly what happens.

Mine'll be connected to Alexa, like all my lamps, so that's not a problem! If it's as shonky as it looks, the string'll probably stretch through time anyhoo. Or snap and fall off. Or go on fire. I'm confident on at least one of those outcomes. Also - it doesn't look like that would complete a circuit. It looks like it's operated using some kind of Hall-effect sensor in one of the balls that triggers when inside the range of the magnetic field - which it wouldn't be, presumably unless the base is magnetic or there's some kind of build flaw - which I fully expect.

Yes, and the string is too short, meaning the bottom magnet sits on the base (completing the circuit), leaving the lamp on.

You mean that the switch is activated by removing the magnetic 'nad?
