Yup it is along sleeved version of the gabba. I wore it on a 6C day with a merino base layer underneath and it kept me warm enough and dry in a downpour. I was very impressed.

Think this is basically a long-sleeved version of the Gabba jacket. I recently bought a Gabba, and was very impressed with the results, going for a 6 hour ride on the Yorkshire World Champs route in the on-off and at times pouring rain on the Friday before the men failed to do the same route. Kept me warm and (mostly) dry all day with a short sleeved base layer, Sportful Fiandre arm warmers, shorts and knee warmers. Was 11 degrees that day, would want thicker/more layers now!

Can't agree with that at all. The jacket kept me warm and dry in a downpour yesterday. The base layer underneath was dry when I got home. What are you basing that comment on?

Their P&P charges often stop me from buying from them. That and you can often find their items much cheaper at a number of online stores who offer cheaper postage or free click and collect.

Good spot OP, shame about the £5.99 postage which seems a bit steep for a lightweight item that "packs down small for ease of carrying" bot not for posting it seems.

So the new jacket is available, and it does indeed appear to be the exact same construction as the C7 (all I really wanted was a 2-way zip), and it’s £270, so £30 more than the regular C7, and £115 more than this sale. Mine came today. Szie XL fits about right. Normally L/XL. Like the style actually and the blue colour is very dark. I'm a mountain biker so will try and not rip it as it looks thin material. Cheers.

To get back to the post; great price for a really good product. I have the old version and can use it from October to March. Decent warmth and wind/rain protection.

Agree - I don't think anyone has been victim-blaming cyclists have they? It's about taking sensible precautions too, unfortunately as it stands cycling is a dangerous pastime and your own experience exemplifies this. Everyone has a responsibility to make cycling safer and more inclusive.

If you read the vendor's description you'll see the jacket has reflective detailing front and back. In low light any sensible cyclist will be using lights (I use them day time as well). Reflective/hiviz gloves/ helmet, overshoes etc are also available. However, wearing hi viz and being lit up like Christmas trees hasn't prevented two of my cycling friends being knocked off their bikes in separate incidents in the last fortnight where drivers failed to stop at a junction and hit them. It's surely time to stop victim-blaming cyclists and start requiring all drivers to behave safely and responsibly on the road and to enforce suitable sanctions for those who don't.

Agreed. Breathability is poor. A little on the small side. No pockets which is annoying for me. Worth £10 but glad I didn't pay more.

Bought two of these a few weeks back. Good jacket but not breathable at all, they were ringing wet, with sweat, after a 10 mile ride on our Tandem.

I purchased a yellow Altura jacket six years ago and it is a class above every other jacket I have used. They aren't cheap but are good value, and mine easily meets your requirements. The pockets are also great, it has never let any water in yet the vent at the back makes it very breathable. The fit is also fantastic, and the entire back of the jacket is basically a pocket so it's great for transporting!

I've yet to find a commuting cycling rain jacket that's both waterproof and breathable. Any recommendations hukd experts?

Bought one last week for commuting. I'm 5'10, 13 stone and large is fine for me. It's an outer shell layer and an inner mesh fabric. They're not very breathable but you can always let the zip down. Seems like great value for commuter/leisure use.

I just bought one of these for £70 which I thought was a cracking deal. Went out at the weekend with this on and a baselayer underneat. Strong headwinds and nothing got through. Highly recommended. Sizing wise I prefer less of a close fit so went a size up which was perfect.

I blame it on looking up helmet sizes right before, which are in cm only :(

Go pro Hero on the front of bike and Mobius attached to rear of helmet. Go pro is great as it's waterproof and quality of video is very good too. Can be a bit iffy charging sometimes though. Mobius good too but not waterproof, but very light.

I usually have to go a size up with endura jackets as find them a bit tight on the neck

I've had to go up a size with Endura a few times, shorts and shower jacket, no experience with this top though.

Dont forget to buy something for a penny or more and get your fiver off via email or cheaper at bikestar by a £ but both are mango!

Yeah really expensive ride out .. somehow I only had one scrape on my shoulder, the left chest of the jacket was falling out and arm was ripped to shreds about 20 barb wire cuts. I bagged a singletrack enduro jacket for £60 last winter so making do with that, not as nice but waterproof

heat from me, ive been using endura for many years, yes their stuff is expensive BUT its quality clothing,fits well and made in the uk (scotland)

They are good jackets although quite short at the front and a bit flappy on the shoulders, sizing wasn’t great for me was between a medium and large ended up with the bigger one purely for length at the front Had a fight with a barb wire fence and lost , sent it back to endura repair service but it was beyond repair :(

I can confirm I am still breathing too (y) It is thicker (quite nice) soft material - MUCH more breathable than pac a mac but would take up a more space in your bag!

How breathable is it? I have a trespass pac a mac kind of thing that I keep in my bag for downpours,but I tend not to use it as it gets so hot and clammy that I prefer the rain

Just received mine and road tested it in this horrendous weather! I can assure you it is waterproof... though I took it off and put it down somewhere but now can’t find it as it is black (lol) (lol) (lol) (other than the lighter shade of black in the middle which some call ‘white’)
