Lol my bad but l planted the seed

CrazyBob

I have two of these and use them in Acces Point mode, they work really well for that.

Casper_1

Don't bother with wifi extenders. They don't work much, just decrease the strength of the wifi signal. Invest money on a powerline wifi or a mesh wifi system. Worth every penny. I have both and can't recommend enough.

waheedaamir1

Then there is fault with it otherwise you should notice the difference

waheedaamir1

You mean Speed test.... That is a valid suggestion. Thanks

Paired with a powerline, these are amazing

SpuffMonkey

Got this a few days ago and it strangled my download speeds. All setting checked and also reset to factory. Tried different plug holes in the house.

shmittty

I don't know the model number of mine, but mine looks exactly like this one. It works well, good range and consistent. The only issue I have is when I want to use my wireless printer I need to turn it off or my devices can't find the printer

nutley

I got one of these a couple of weeks ago for the same price and so far i cannot fault it. It is sat in the airing cupboard covering some dead spots, gets great range and the wireless speeds are getting 3x our 40mpbs broadband speed, so no benefit from 5ghz for me.

JOHNNY_WILKINSON

I have just paid £40 for a Rock Space 1200 after reading a few reviews, arriving today via Amazon and hoping it cures the dead spots in our house...?

Cant believe you found that on Amazon, been looking at the pro version on Alibaba for like 200-250 but that's still abit steep, have even contemplated about getting a Xiaomi mix instead. Also a rumour a few months back: https://consumer.huawei.com/en/community/details/%24150-5G-smartphones-from-Huawei/topicId_53602/ ^ found some source on Huawei website regard $150 5g phone. So you could wait for this like me.

Good luck on that mate.

This one costs 50 time to time, and it’s up to you ))

You mentioned "a little bit more" but this model is almost 3 times the price! I would stick with the £35 deal here IMO.

Must have been a late adopter buddy. We were all running PET`s, 5150`s and Atari 800`s in the early 80`s. Then us that were running BBS`s moved onto Amigas and Atari ST`s ;) I still have all my old supra modems. Funny you mention the zx81 though, everybody in Tayside had at least one of them and when it broke you just went upto timex and got somebody to chuck you a new one over the fence for a fiver :)

Probably not, it used to be useful when data was really expensive and you could watch how much you were using, apart from that I can’t see any benefit. At one time the 7350 was one of only a few that were 4g enabled now they all are. I’m waiting for a 5g one to be released , haven’t seen one yet

amour3k

I have 1 or 2 of these one's too, and funnily enough, I too wondered the same also, lol. Yep!, I remember that Deal, and I stupidly sat on the fence on that one tooooooo long!, and ... Needless to say, I wish I had now, to be honest?. But at more than twice the price of the Huawei equivalent, is the M7350 really worth that double money anyway/after all?, or ... thanx.

qazim

Ordered last week for the same price

abcbut

Perfect. I pay £23 for unlimited 4g Home broadband. I could pop the sim in to this and have unlimited 4g whenever I’m away from home too. Thanks OP.

sheepdognwolf

personally i like the M7350 but it is a bit more expesive but you can see how much data is being used . It has been down to £29.99 at one time

Just set mine up with a newly activated Smarty SIM and it worked straight away. Maybe yours is faulty?

nictry

Stupidly bought one of these and spent the last hour trying to get it working Have used a brand new 3 sim which activated and worked fine in a phone but absolutely nothing will make it work on this device Tried a Vodafone sim again works fine in an android and iPhone as soon as its in this thing nothing, absolutely no Internet connection showing light will not come on even though WiFi is working fine and able to connect to the device, change APN setting etc. But nothing will make it work

DirtyPixel

I have the older M7350 model (although it seems better featured than this one) and they're great for me and my daughter when travelling / camping etc, and means my phone isn't being sucked dry of data or battery. Get a cheap SIM only deal with some decent data and you'll be surprised how useful they are. I even use mine when on the road with my drone to edit and upload images / video to social channels via my laptop, rather than having to do it all at home when I eventually get back. Not for everyone, but super useful to some (y)

Benjamin_Arnott

Hmm might look into getting one of these

PeterGalbavy

FYI works fine as a USB tether in a Fritz!Box router for my backup...

Schwifty

Cool story bro etc yeah I know

Schwifty

I did it in four flats/houses last month. But not with this thing. I had an old ee mifi thing, the osprey 2. It would easily get 40 mb download speed, easily. I didn't like how it turns itself off after half an hour of not being used. I bought the router three sell with their 4g homebroadband deal, figured it is nearly 100 quid on amazon and I got it for 40 or so on ebay brand new and three include it in their home broadband replacement thing so must be half decent. If I can get 40mb with a tiny osprey from five years ago it must be OK. It was crap. Didn't get a decent signal at all, moved it to another property where it was getting more than adequate speed compared to the inconsistent broadband I had installed there previously. Dissapointed but still it wasn't a waste in the end. So I then bought tp-link mr6400 you can look it up if you like but think router with two arials sticking out the back if you can't be bothered. Looked the business. If the osprey can get 40mb.... This thing is also expensive on amazon etc but got it for 35 quid and figured hey, that's a great deal. It was crap. Maybe even worse than the really crap huawei one three sell. So I got another osprey for a tenner on ebay and got on with my life. I'll find a better solution down the line, I'm sure, but i suspect this is probably crap. Tplink, crap. Huawei, crap. Ten quid ebay thing from years ago, decent. Could maybe have spent more than ten seconds looking and got it cheaper too, maybe it was a good deal at a tenner. Couldn't tell you, was frustrated a f when I bought it. My advice? Sorry, not really got any. Can't reccommend the osprey thing as it has an inactivity auto off function. Can't reccommend ones three are punting and can't reccommend tp link's supposedly upper end model of crap router. Sorry. Maybe get a different osprey thing. Maybe lose all your hair in frustration. I dunno.

£14.99 in B&m but I bought this one on amazon and had to send back absolutely useless wouldn’t even connect after 30 attempts at each connection

Huraqan

Utter rubbish, mine is one of the many 1 star reviews on Amazon. Had to reset daily until it started actually interfering with WiFi. Tested by turning it off and the WiFi was perfect, switched it back on poor, intermittent WiFi. I did this several times on different days, same result every time. Returned for a refund.

xlxaiwa55xlx

They do run in half duplex which does half the bandwidth. In my case that wasn't an issue, bandwidth is fine, it was the number of wireless devices and the size of the house. When these work, it's great, they're just nowhere near consistent enough. I know on the AC750 (can't remember about this one) but it can also be used as a wireless access point too.

CrazyBob

No idea but my Roku plays HD content just fine. Maybe they don't do too well as an extender, but as an access point they are okay.

SFconvert

Isn't the problem with these that it effectively halves the bandwidth unless it's a dual band? A better solution (though arguably not as simple or elegant, though maybe as cheap) is to get an old router you may have and connect it to your old router with a Powerline or long cable. The second router can then just act as an access point.

I can now confirm that a quick call to O2 to pay the £24 for the device and I could cancel the contract, my sim will remain active until the 6th January and I will only pay £19 for the plan I had signed up for less 20% so total cost for us will be £39.20 for the hotspot and 36gb data! Due to BT still not sorting my internet I can also confirm that the netflix offer is per qualifying device as we now have enough credit for 12 months!

not sure why £24 a month for 3 months has been added, you can give 30 days notice in the first week if you pay the £24 for the device so works out just over £43, I've already received my first £47.94 netflix credit.
