Noticed various alcohol reductions at the Co-op's Wallasey Village store. I picked up 1ltr Bacardi for £12.94, and noted some other r.t.c. items: Ardmore Highland Single Malt 70c… Read more

Sorry yes I meant middle side to side not front to back, not well explained - I'll use Monday as my excuse!!

Ah, must have moved them. They were on the end of an aisle opposite the tills when I first saw them. Hope your mate enjoys the Ardmore. It's a steal @ £16.75 - £41 on Amazon!!

They're on the end of a row in the middle of the shop, top shelf.

I'll be sniffing this out tomorrow ;)

You're welcome! :) (And, I've just noticed that this stuff is 46% abv!)

Yeah, a real winner Ben10. Have you ever tried the Ben10 100 proof. That’s one of hell of a whisky for £50. Obviously like the Ben10, but with everything turned up to 11

thanks bob. An Aultmore deal keeps elluding me and Amazon seem to have a big blindside reagarding Kilkerrin (they never stock it themselves). At least we dont have any issues with Benromach 10. That is one fine whisky.

Kilkerren 12 is available for £38 (inc delivery) @ Whisky World. Deanston is available on Amazon for £39 (free delivery) Aultmore is a little trickier. I’ve purchased it three separate times on Amazon for £29. You will have to wait for Black Friday/Prime Day deals to pick it up though. Failing that it’s gonna set you back £45 at all other times. A real underrated gem of a malt.

please post where i can get Kilkerrin, Deanston and Aultmore for £32 or very close to it.

Tullibardine Sauternes Finish Malt Whisky £30 Sainsburys instore

Sainsbury's deal back again although it seems may be stores only. Not sure if it is worth the full £45.00 as there is no age on it. Worth a punt at £30 though. Should be a hot deal… Read more

Nectar D'or is in a completely different league. This is light, young and quite spicy. I struggle to see what if anything the Sauternes finish has added.

Yeah, bought it once but wouldn't buy it again. It's ok but a bit young and rough.

Anyone tried this? If it's anything close to Nectar D'or then it'll be worth a go.

Dalwhinnie Winter's Gold Malt Whisky 70cl - £21.70 @ Tesco Metro Bristol

Reduced to clear from £39.45 Several bottles left

A couple of quid cheaper than it usually is but not worth more than £25. Get the Bowmore or Aberlour on offer at Amazon instead

Im more into the drink next to it, Belvoir fruit farms elderflower (y)

RRP is excessive, but well worth a try at this price. Not my favoured whisky as I don’t like the ones that need serving ice cold, but its more than drinkable

They're pushing their luck saying the rrp was £39.50. £25 seems to be the standard. I bought a bottle a couple of years ago. It's still almost all there, not what I would call a good whisky. A shame as the Dalwhinnie 15 is quite nice. I'm sure they even suggest storing this one in the freezer. Most likely to hide the burn. I'd save my money & put it towards a better bottle.

Not bad price but not a fan of this one.

That didn't last long

No longer available

I found the 10yo and 12yo expressions fairly similar but thats just my personal take. This is a cracking price for the 10!

how does this compare to the 12yo?

Be mindful that this isn't a usual Scottish malt whisky. There is no peat used in the process so tastes quite different. Personally it's not for me, but I know people who love the smooth taste.

Do you have a pic? Can't find it anywhere online and not seen in any Lidls close to me

I noticed an article on the internet about 4 months ago saying that Lidls Black Isle whisky had won a gold award at an international spirits event so i thought i would give it a try. I'am now 5 bottles into a rigourus testing procedure and the results so far are very promising.

Is this a new one? Never seen it

This is q good dram for 20 quid. Already sank one bottle

The Lidl Black Isle is almost certain to be Balblair. Personally I reckon any Distillery edition worth a try at £20 or less.

fine you got me, i probably would spend the extra penny, but i gotta draw the line in the sand somewhere ;)

Not even one penny? never met a man who has that kind of money for whisky...u lie :D

I drank a bottle of that at Christmas, it was alright but nothing special, not worth a penny over £15k if you ask me

Shame the bottle of Dalmore below isn't reduced on Amazon! Mind you that's cheap compared to a limited edition Macallan-60 year old-1926 in the same auction. One bottle expected to fetch between £700,000 to £900,000!!

another Irish rare single malt and another big discount : normal price £72-74; half price

Now £59 (mad)

It's always the same with whisky deals - just ignore them.

there is nothing wrong highlighting artificially high RRP'S . Cardhu do it about once a month to shift their naff Gold whisky. And people buy it and post purely on the strength of the big discount %. it may be £75 on high priced sites like Master of Malt but will it be that price consistently on Amazon? so am i buying a £75 whisky at £36? or am i buying a £36 whisky at £36 cause it hits £36 as often or more as it hits £75 on Amazon? And will my £36 buy a better whisky that does not bounce around in price but sits at its actual worth the vast majority of the time? all valid questions and not negative

Have you ever heard of google? Pretty uselful for looking at prices if you’re that suspicious. Or just don’t buy it. What is it with the negativity against posters who post whisk(e)y deals? It’s HotUKDeals isn’t it?

and this sticks it in Clynelish 14 territory which is darn stiff competition

It's a nice whisky... but not very memorable imo. I would be much happier spending £35 on it than £46 in a sale, so you can imagine what I think of it at the £59 regular price! I have to second the King Car Conductor mention earlier in this thread. I went through 7 whiskies in their range at a whisky festival earlier in the year and the King Car was definitely my favourite, I really liked their Ex-Bourbon oak as well.

Had a bottle a couple of years ago, wasn't impressed. Much rather Ardbeg at this price

everytime i half think about opening it i remember i wont get it at price again (pretty sure it was a pricing error by Amazon) and pick something else from the collection. tottally ridiculous i know as it is only a bargain if you actually consume it at some point. It might be my new years eve special.

Looks like Amazon are price matching Waitrose who have it on offer at the moment.

Would love to know what you make of it. It's caught my eye a couple of times, and I've read plenty of positive tasting notes but always end up buying something else.

Increasingly, any decent offers are becoming Prime only...a number of items saved for later in my Amazon shopping basket randomly announce that they're solely for Prime members. The way it's going, we'll soon need to be Prime members just for the privilege of giving Amazon our money to buy anything at all.

30 quid now

Wow they changed that quick I'm not prime and I ordered a bottle yesterday. Still the old 30 day trial trick should work ;)

My 35cl was just shy of this, will keep an eye out but I'm not releasing the wild geese not this time

Really is a good price. I got it for £35 ish and was generally pleased. In the £20-30 range is a steal

Have a bottle open at the moment and love it. I would fill my boots at this price if my local had it.

Bowmore 12 Year Old Malt Whisky 70 cl at Amazon for £23.20
Found 26th AugFound 26th Aug
All gone, I'm afraid.

I'd like to try it but I've bought way too much whisky from this site. Good price according to the camels:

It's a decent one to try if you're tempted by Islay malts however I agree with The_Bounty_Bear, for it to be exceptional it needs to be non chill filtered, without added colouring etc... On this basis my favourite malt currently is anything by the Isle of Arran distillery, however it's difficult to find any of their whisky on offer...

It was my favourite back in the day. Many family in the islands, most drink the Lagavulin, some prefer Laphroaig, but nobody refuses a Bowmore. My older brother breaks the mould - he's a Speysider of a certain Macallan version.

The answer to that question is the same as the reply to "Do I need another handbag/ pair of shoes?"

Good price, do I need more malt ?
