If you think Bells tastes better then this then I guess you don't get to drink any of either, on account of your sleeves being crossed over in front and tied behind your back! ;-)
Imo I'd not buy this stuff for a quid. Apart from bells I'd not drink this stuff if it was offered for free
Yes, I know a similar deal has been posted and I have recognized this above but didn't think it would go cold. Ah well, as long as it helps someone e.g. me, as I don't have Amazon Prime :)
This is gorgeous stuff and a great price too. Good spot OP. Are people voting cold because they've never tasted it or because they don't like the Welsh? Edit: having seen the Amazon deal posted on +185% I'm assuming it's Amazon fans voting this cold because they don't like the competition! ;)
So the Scots let the Welsh call it Whisky then?
I bought these for £34 each on ocado probably last year. In addition when you spent over £100 you got £35 off so worked out £22.33 per bottle (highfive)
It's been this price on Amazon for ages.
Absolutely lovely malt this, very rich in flavour thanks to the Port cask finish, but £44 isn't a huge bargain imo as it's usually this price at Ocado and even places like the Whisky Exchange do it for £48. I mean, this is a deal for sure, don't want to crap on the original poster's bargain here because it's legit and through Amazon you're getting free shipping to boot, but you might want to look into first shop vouchers from ocado to see if you can get hold of it with a £10/£20/15% off 1st shop voucher, etc. I did this myself last year anf nabbed a bottle of the Lasanta and the Quinta Ruban for £35 each. Good times!
You should put that in the title.
On offer for £1 per pack in kost supermarkets right now but with subscribe and save this is a better deal
Can't find this anywhere in north Tyneside.
Hasn't got great reviews, the £89 price looks way OTT, whilst this is a huge discount it might be about right Glenfiddich The Original (40%, OB 2015)Nose: light, with lots of biscuity notes and nuts. Green apple and green banana up front, as well as pear and roasted malt. Floral grassy touches. Lemon and vanilla. After a while also light toffee. Mouth: smooth, showing a big sugary sweetness with vanilla and cereal cookies. Lots of malty notes. Gentle citrus, almonds and soft pepper. Finish: not too long, with sweet grassy notes and slightly drier oak. A fairly harmless Glenfiddich, very smooth and gentle but don’t expect major complexity or something more exciting than the standard Glenfiddich 12 Year Old. I don’t doubt that it’s true to the profile of the 1963 whisky, but why all this effort to recreate a whisky that’s only ‘okay’ by today’s standards (which are much higher than back then)? Around € 100.
This has an RRP of £85 on their website, Master of Malt and The Whisky Exchange both asking for around that price. Now whether its actually worth £37 I couldn't tell you, I haven't drank it myself
anybody know if this is available in Fort William?
Apparently I ordered one yesterday while I was watching boring the leisure seeker :/ checked email this morning confirming the order (lol) amazon are looking into it now will get back to me ASAP!
Imagine cracking this open only for it to taste like Haig Club
Have this on optic in my house , it does for a school night.
Great whisky, usual tipple at my local Wetherspoons
This bottle has been sitting on Amazon for eons. It usually appears in the search results for whisky near the top if you don't have the prime filter on. So does not seem that there are many disgustingly rich people spending their money on this.
Thanks for your efforts on HUKD over the past 4 years to find deals that are better than this one. (skeptical)
16.66% off is an even better one (y)
AW bunnywabbit :)
15% off... seems a good deal
Non chill filtered , Natural colour are all big positives but mean nothing if the malt is bad. Fear not this is like others have said a absolute gem of a whisky. It's a solid buy at its usual RRP of £33- £36 so yes a few extra £'s does make this a Hot deal. Just finished my stored bottle so perfect timing. I would always have this in my collection.
Is this similar to Singleton Tailfire?
Tamnavulin £22.50 not aged but tastes cut above most others at this price bracket
Good price for an aged single malt
with all the deals in amazon lately, definitely not short of stock - can wait a bit.. ;)
Wow good spot OP. Never tried this. A wait for stock is okay by me. Ordered and heat
Excellent price and was just at this very distillery this afternoon! £43 there if buying in person.
My favourite whisky. Unfortunately none in my locality
40% is only a standard because of the taxman - all whisky should be sold at cask strength and watered to taste. Any whisky under 45.8% has been chill filtered and thus lost some of it's flavour in the process.
Some Waitrose stores cleared this at £19.99 (party)
Superb whisky. Like others have said s powerful sherry flavours that scream Christmas to me. Would say "drop" of water for me is not enough. I found 50/50 water and whisky my preferred ratio. It is cask strength (ABV 59%+) afterall. The correct amount of water to add to whisky is the amount of water that gets it to the point where you enjoy it best
Think you missed a "please" also. ;)
No, you think it. Say "please" next time you want people to do things.
Good find, thanks OP :)
Excellent, excellent whisky this. Good find.
i did that whisky has been deleted i had 3 in the same thread the already posted whisky has been removed.this and the other whisky in the link have not already been posted.
Conspiracy theories? Really? Or maybe the fact that it's probably only available in a couple of stores in the country.
Chap who works there was buying one in front of me. So I said, that's a fancy bottle in a box. He said yeah, good whisky, half price now. I said I never seen it on a shelf so he said that they are kept at the back office so thieves don't nick them. Offered to grab one for me, if I'm interested, as he said there's like 6 or 7 bottles left. Might be the same situation in the other stores, that they keep remaining stock somewhere at the back. In my local Lidl even baby formula tins are empty and they fetch them from the back lol! :D
Agreed, have suspicion there are some hired gun activists here attempting to suppress drinks offers other than tax doging Amazon... my posting yesterday re whisky deal at Sainsbury was deluged with cold water both at approaching 100 degrees and once again at nearing 200... Great deal this, shame some have hidden agenda not wanting this even getting out of starting blocks
Not national. Wild goose chase but voting up, great deal if you can get it
This was, literally, the only dessert we turned our noses up at as kids. XD My mum loved it because it would last a week!
I love Soreen 😁 I just wish they would stop messing with the recipe. You can clearly tell the difference between them depending on the supermarket offer at the time. If it's not on offer they tend to be nice and squidgy like the packaging suggests but often when on a offer it won't taste the same like they use cheaper ingredients or something so they can make it cheaper.
£1.69 for 4 in Costco if that's an option for you.
Wrong. It's high in carbs, low in fat and high in fibre. Quite healthy compared to a lot of so called healthy snacks. It's a cyclists friend for fuelling the ride.
I for one love the taste of these, a bit of false marketing though, they have a stand at my Morissons making it look like it's a healthy snack when in actuality it's packed with sugar with a layer of fat in between. Still tastes brilliant haha
think its same price in tesco at the moment. it also tastes like *****
tried very good, seen in the sme price in shops around on promotion sainsburys now having in the same price
Someone bought me a bottle and I didn't feel I enjoyed it as much as normal.
It was touted by HP as a simple rebrand of HP 12 however, I know that some people aren't convinced it's the same as the previous bottling. I have a bottle of this but have not gotten round to opening it yet so can't comment on it myself.
When I click the link Amazon says I bought this in 2016. Back then it was known simply as HP 12yr Old. Now it says Viking Honor. Is this the exact same stuff?
Approved Foods have (had) this for £19.99. Free delivery code sent when signing up
Always a winner at £25
Love this stuff. Readily available in both our local Tesco and Waitrose for this price, though
I was given a bottle of this as a gift. It's a bit too peaty for my liking. Not as bad as Laphroaig, but still not to my taste.
I can see why you would think that but when you factor in availability in recent months (and that it's likely getting discontinued) then this is a good price. Not going to appeal to whisky newbies anyway.....most people interested will already be a fan and may already be aware of recent stock issues.
Doesn't feel like a good price at all. Under £30 would be good.
That will be a shame if they go that way. Will have to stock up!
Much better than the Aberlour 12 in my opinion...unless it’s upped its game massively over the last couple of years?
Agreed Also not a fan. Bought a bottle from the distillery and was a bit underwhelmed.
Pretty good price and heat added. Not a big fan of this, the Aberlour 12 is £25 at the moment and would go for that instead.
Cardhu, fine if you like something that tastes like petrol
Indeed Bunnahabhain is a superb dram at well worth £30 -£33
Hands down the most disappointing whisky purchase of my life, not that I really hoped for much at £25 but I absolutely could not drink it straight and was forced to mix it with coke. Having said that it made an excrellent whisky and coke, so it gets points for that.
That’s a valid point mate. .. me and my dorky self :D (excited)
It'll be the weekend when this arrives though, Then you'll be sad that you're not drunk.
Probably wouldn't get it for this weekend. It's Amazon after all.
Dewars 12 yo is down to £15 from £30+ in Cardiff Tesco as a clearance if anyone's about that way......
They had the Dalmore in the big Tesco in Inverness yesterday. This is reduced from £46, so really a full 1/3 off.
I got the Jura Origins in England so much be national.
Seems to be nationwide as my local Tesco in Bristol had one bottle of Jura on the shelf, which is now in my drinks cabinet!
Just got one in Tesco Stirling, great price. The had 6 or 8 left on the shelf.
