had a USB stick earlier this year at 1p and the cashier refused to sell it to me. Perhaps if I see this item will try a self service till (if wilko//the store has them)

Do they do a keyboard spray?

Love a penny item! Just never ever mention it at the till. The first time I got one I was like, woah! Penny item! And they took it off sale saying it was meant to be removed from sale. Meanies! Never ever mention it was a penny till you're outside the shop ;)

Neither is the image of someone spraying their underwear 🙃

That's not very pleasant now is it?

I used the word "adequate" on purpose, Big Mig.

Mate, I've been cycling competitively since the late 80s, cycled across Europe, been a team mechanic for riders that have ridden the grand tours, founded & owned a bike magazine publishing company, tested all sorts of bikes, saddles, clothing, interviewed stage winners. The best you can describe Sudocrem is, is 'adequate'. It's lanolin based which can be irritating for some people. It's almost impossible to wash out of shorts so you'll end up with an unhygenic buildup. It's not well absorbed into skin either so it generally doesn't last well in use. IME, Chamois cream works better especially on longer rides of 100km or so on the road or multi-day rides. It's quite good on wet mountain bike rides too although again IME a barrier like Cavilon works better there. If you're older (approaching 50 here) and/or ride regularly (I do 35km a day commuting) and you're not wearing your sunday best shorts, it's useful to keep your soft bits soft. £9 for a fairly big tub is hardly breaking the bank.

Mate, I've been cycling competitively for 20 years. For most casual riders, sudocrem works adequately as a makeshift chamois cream - though it can stain your chamois. If you're a serious rider clocking serious mileage you might want to spend, but it isn't the end of the world for weekenders.

Sudocrem is for treating skin abrasion, rashes and cuts. Chamois Cream is for preventing you from getting them in the first place.

Even more so if you're in your birthday suit I would think!

It be a bit of plastic to hold chain cleaning fluid and agitate said fluid on chain as it passes through - not sure precision engineering is really required and have used one of the cheap for over 5 years without any issues (more than likely out the back door from the same factory that is producing the parkers variant), similar results as others get that pay more that I have also seen and compared. Personally think as deleted stated this deal is overpriced and they have been a bit stingy on the fluid supplied - yet others are rating this hot - so horses for courses. Vileda on the other hand have their super mop starting at £250 - obviously this is a prime value and they the huge market they are aiming for there isn't in the slightest a little bit crazy. Me I'll keep my spending to where I see value - like the £3K coffee machine which messages me from time to time :)

Agreed, paid a similar amount as the deal for a Parks one (which the ebay chinese one looks to be a bad copy of) so I think this is a decent deal. The listing for that cheap knock off doesn't inspire much confidence: "Please allow 1-2 cm error due to manual measurements . Please kindly understand. Due to your different monitor setting and lighting , it may has some color difference from the real item . But we guarantee that the style is the same as the picture showing . Thanks and please kindly understand. " And better yet: "Turns on the top cover first, to enters the petrol" ???

It's usp is that you put the cleaning fluid in the top and this drips onto the chain and draws off on exit. Other than that is is a plastic holding with brushes with enough degreaser to do your chain twice. You will still have to wash afterwards exactly the same as you would with the Chinese made approach ( co incidentally that looks very similar to the highly rated park tools solution) - if they supplied a decent amount of degreaser with it then I might agree with you but 75ml - even merlin cycles offer a solution at 5.99 with both lube and degreaser.

To be fair Muc-off is the market leader and a great product. Comparing it to a cheap ebay chinese made substitute is not accurate or fair. Want a cheap and super effective degreaser? Use diesel better than the idiot consumer safe versions for sale that smell like fruit and safer on aluminum components. Heat

Bertz99 £4 for a similar tool £5 for similar tool + Brush Can get a lot more than 75ml of degreaser for that price difference - infact could also buy some lube and still have some change,

This is a bad deal... Sorry to say. Most seasonal mountain biker will know you use Fenwick's FS10. Muc off is quite average at best for a bike cleaning product BUT it has a silly premium price..

Muc-Off bicycle cleaning and maintaining products £2.99 @ Aldi
LocalLocalFound 12th JunFound 12th Jun
They were cheapest I could find at 3.99 and just been in store they've knocked off extra quid. if u looking for cheaper then Poundland has a different brand cheaper.

Poundlland version I think is much more aggressive, you can dilute it further or just be quick using it but Muck off is safer if you have an extra fancy bike. Also fenwicks concentrate is very good as good as muck off but you have to dilute it yourself but can work out much cheaper.

I've been on the lookout for that for a while, but none of the local ones have had it in. Not sure if it's just my local stores or if they've stopped doing it. Even when they did, stock around here was even more intermittent than Aldi/Lidl and that's saying something.

Poundland 'no more dirty bike' for £1 is great stuff. Works just like the bigger brands. Bigger bottle too.

Got 5 at 50p thanks. Cleaned them out. One of them went through at £7 so left that one :o

The point you have missed is after cleaning the chain of OLD DIRTY oil . Then you apply new clean fresh oil. Fresh oil helps for a smooth gear change and less wear and tear. The gears and chain ECT on my bike cost over £500 . A new chain can be £30+ so looking after your transmission is vital. But I only use fenwicks it's a much better product.

Lots of people intensively clean the chain before applying new oil to it. People even soak the whole chain in a solvent solution for a day or so, then do the same thing in container of oil. Not sure why, but it's widespread, so there must be a reason. For 50p it's a bargain, but at full price, the muc-off stuff is a joke.

Sorry, whats this for :/ Why would you want to degrease your chain, i thought the idea was to keep it oiled....! Would be good for cleaning the engine though if its a degreaser (party) voted hot ;)

I’m only going to go to a local Asda from now on. Too much of a risk otherwise. Can’t believe you’ve spent all that money. Ironically, I bet you stink too after travelling round for two days. What a catastrophic error of judgement. You live and learn.

Right.. Big problems. I tried to pay the £70 into your account, but Lloyds tells me that the sort code is not recognised. Knowing that you live in Edinburgh, I have spent 2 days trawling around the banks trying to find your account. I have been into 37 different branches. None recognised the sort code. I've used £104 worth of petrol, £27 of parking charges, £110 for an overnight hotel stay and £37.50 on food and refreshments The 62p product has now cost me £279.12 and you £73. Lesson learned. Do not post local deals.

Account number 43623890 Sort code 46-34-11 Cheers fella. Feel a bit guilty myself accepting. Just send me £70. Don’t worry about the £3. Heat!

I feel guilty now that you've had a wasted journey. Post your bank details and I'll transfer you the petrol money.

That’s great but I’m already back. None left. Cost me £73 in petrol. What a waste of my time and money. Cold!

Your very welcome, cheers for the great comments. As for all the hate were seeing on some deals now days, I imagine it's easier to run a deal down than to say great find or find a deal that beats it. Glad if saved you a few quid. :D

Ha, just found this deal checking Tredz on here for any other discount codes. Their consistent £5 off is nice. Cheers OP. Evans Cycles will also price match Tredz, but you won't get the £5 off obviously. No idea why people are mentioning a cleaning concentrate for a deal that's mostly about the kit - brushes and box, lube, sponge, microfibre cloth etc. Muc-off is very well rated. Seem to be defending a lot of deals these days, no idea why people feel the need for such pointless negative comments. Good deal, bought.

Muc - off is used by team sky on all there bikes. I know fenwicks is a great product also. As for worst deal of the day how can that be unless you can find this actual product any cheaper. Isn't this site for supplying the cheapest deal on products to help one another save a few quid. ??? :/

Fenwicks fs1 is a 1Ltr that makes 10 Ltr and it can be used neat as a de greaser it's the best cleaner on the market by far

Totally agree with the comments above.... As an alternative you could also try Swarfega; 5Ltr = 8 quid from Screwfix
