V2 now have holes that are side on to the inner rim , so can be used with cushcores / rimpac foam inserts, the V1 the hole is on the end and points straight down, so cannot be used with foam inserts, otherwise virtually identical Same applies to the Steve peaty’s x Chris king valves mk1 & mk2

Really good quality these, been really reliable on my mtb

sparklehedgehog

What’s the difference between v1 and v2?

Silly price for a pair of valves, who do they think they are? Apple? :) Pretty sure I got one of my non muckoff sets for about 3 quid!

Don't go with dish soap, it's too harsh as it's designed as a degreaser (all right to use it on your chain for that purpose so long as you oil it will after) Mucoff, king gud (UK made) and Pedro's Green Fizz are all decent. You can get concentrated ones you then just dilute too. Specific degreasers are really useful for giving your cassette a deep clean once in a while. Make sure you use the right lubricant to stop them gunking up again straight away if you're riding off road. I'm by no means an avid enthusiast of cleaning bikes, this is my bare minimum I do to keep the bike from becoming disgusting and excessive wear (lol)

As everyone else has said, any antibac cleaner will do the same job so this is extremely overpriced!

My thoughts exactly (y)

Agreed, this is a gimmick

matthew1888

A cheap 1 quid spray from Asda will do the exact same job. Absolute waste of money.

Really rate this stuff too: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Udderly-Smooth-Chamois-Chaffing-Butter/dp/B002DR4ISI The current discount on the Muc Off puts then at very similar prices however!

Thanks, paid £15 a few months ago.

gcjtaylor

I haven't used it for running. However I run too and I bought under armour compression shorts and I have to say I haven't had an issue since :)

Andrew_Harkin

Is it good for running too? ( Chafing in the crotch )

golty

Cheers good deal, this is my go to cream and I do 8000 miles a year + on a bike. No issues with chafing with this cream. (y)

It's unisex i think would be nice if it was all black

matthew1888

Seems a daft thing to buy but I could be wrong.

michael-k

They claim that the included bicycle cleaning lance is “powerful enough to blast dirt and grime from your bike, while still being safe to use on bearings and suspension parts.” (Copied from section “What's included” on https://muc-off.com/collections/pressure-washer-range/products/pressure-washer-bicycle-bundle.) I cannot say if that's true or if a regular pressure washer has too much power. Since it works well, it might not be worth switching ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

matthew1888

Just for info. I use a sponge/ washing up liquid and degreaser to do the chain etc and works well.

matthew1888

Might be a stupid question but why would you not just use your normal pressure washer ? Seems a bit of a useless product tbh
