Just opened the box to mine cheap crap plastic legs,it’s going back

Legs snapped on ours. For this its a case of buy cheap buy twice.

Very true but you can say that for most pieces of furniture like cupboards, shoe racks, desks, etc. The are all pieces plastic, wood and metal slapped together with a huge price tag. It's how the world is nowadays no one has the skills to buy the materials and be creative enough to make their own stuff so companies take advantage of that.

Plastic legs snap easily when you whack them with the hoover

Two pieces of MDF and four Plastic legs still overpriced.

Is it good?

Poor quality

I've bought this before for the understairs cupboard. Just had lightbulbs, dog leads and treats, wellies on the bottom, that kinda thing. Scared the life out of me when it collapsed one day (mad)

Bottom shelf holds more This is cheaper

Not a bad price, good find (y) I don't understand how you can load the total capacity of 150kg when you have 5 shelves with a maximum of 25kg each (lol)

I actually use one of these as a space saver in the kitchen.

These fall apart in a couple of weeks. Not even worth 5.99 IMO

Had mine couple years and not broken (yet!) perfect for my little hallway. Holds my Wellies, trainers and 3 other pairs of shoes and sometimes the Cat sleeps on there too! " Different strokes for different folks"

They do sell these is Home bargains for £2.99

Ikea have something almost identical for £7 if that's any easier for anyone.

Powerfix Profi Household Metal Shelving £14.99 each or 2 for £25.00 @ Lidl
Found 28th MayFound 28th May
Made from strong galvanised steel with 4 shelves Easy to assemble Size: H150 x W75 x D30cm Max. 50kg per shelf

Just tried our local Lidl; not a single one left and not expecting any more stock.

Only 3 shelves is not good enough but I guess they are cheap and the height is ok for a shed

are these better then the Homebase ones for £10

The previous ones were 190cm high, and a little more cost wise.

Terrible stuff it's a pain to assemble. And if you have managed it the edges are really really sharp ànd the pannels bend quite easily

I bought this a while ago at £15. Hated it. It charged my phone about 1.5x (3000 mah battery), and the shape of it made it very awkward to carry in my pocket. It's rather heavy too for its size.

Just got one in my local store Redditch, had 2 left

What?!?! You left 4 on the shelf instead of buying all 4 to sell on fleabay?? Call yourself a HotUKDealer?! XD

Can anyone confirm how this is put together with 8 corner braces as the instructions state when this is supplied with only 6 as stated in the instructions?!

I was leaning over to reach something in my shed. I put a little bit of weight on a shelf and it creased and caved in. I couldn't believe it, I really didn't put much weight on it. My plastic ones, that have been mentioned on here, have been brilliant and are far better imo. I am looking for a good deal on these now because I have little confidence in the metal ones.

Great first deal post RayEdge- Look forward to seeing your next deal and thanks for posting :) We have shelving in our new garage and what a difference they make, great bits of kit

Already posted this unit

I have two of these and two of the plastic tube ones that get sold all over the place (mine were Aldi workzone), so for comparison: The plastic tube ones feel more stable when you push them from the front or side - they wobble less and I think they are less likely to fall over, so good for places with a lot of foot traffic. Conversely, the metal ones feel like they have a lot of lateral free movement, which I really didn't like at first. Of course, this can be almost completely solved with wall brackets. The metal ones take about 20 minutes to put together and are a bit fiddly but you only have to do it once. However, after 2 years of owning both, with both having 10-20kg on some shelves, the metal ones are holding up MUCH better. It seems they are much more resistant to downward force and as such, there has not been any warping. The plastic ones on the other hand, have bowed where the shelves have had heavy items on them (toolboxes on one, a henry hoover on another) and I think that eventually the shelf itself will fail one day when I put something on it. We have just cleared out the garage and will be putting more shelves in it, I will probably buy one plastic shelf for light things (they are much taller so can use all the available vertical space) and the rest will be metal, as it's unlikely I will want under 5kg per shelf for things in the garage. I hope this helps someone thinking about buying these - I bought another three of these ones for the new shed last week and might even get some more for the garage - for £10 they're pretty incredible and it's so much nicer when everything is organised. Ikea's Draget shelves are £19

Out of stock everywhere near me. :/

There not missing, meant to be 6 look at the arrows in the picture for the bolts plus there would be 2 spare bolts if that was the case. 2 will go in the opposite corner, and 1 in the remaining 2 corners.

I bought 4 of these around Xmas for under £10 and they are missing 2 braces. I have used zip ties to secure to the shed

Am I missing something here? "Fix 8 corner braces to the shelf" Clearly states only 6 are supplied with the unit at the top of the paper :-/

These are a pain in the ass to put together and they are not especially deep or long. BUT, its 10 quid. They do a fair job for what they are , for what they cost. Screw them to a wall and they will hold your stuff. That said i have just spent £55 quid on some new shelves from hombase that are so much better than these that only require a rubber mallet to fit together.

No problem. The thing is I ordered before I’ve posted the deal on here. They might have struggled with orders because of the number of people buying. Hopefully yourself get sorted. Definitely a solid unit and I assembled it in like 10 minutes no screws. £17 well spent

Thanks for the reply and letting me know yours was delivered the following day. I would have assumed everyone had the same delay from dispatch to delivery otherwise.

Writing is about as good as the house of the dead games.

Best gameplay in series, but worst story/graphics, and animations are criminal, like a PS1 game. Still very fun addictive game

This is a local deal right? if the item has a round red sticker like that?

Leave it there as a lesson to EA for producing utter garbage for games. Soon the unsole copied will be pulped

Really ? Are people going to seriously try and discuss a complex political issue on a deal forum ? Honestly I assumed wrongly people had more sense. Anyway thanks OP I went for a metal set instead , can’t be building shelf’s for hours and 200kg is fine by me for £10

The Jews are the orginal inhabitants tho. It's just that they left the house and when they returned, some squatters have taken over. :D

Agree, with anything plastic it’s always wise to check the contents first BUT staff want to get rid of broken ones first is a bit dramatic - I think you’ll find homebase staff have no idea what is broken and what isn’t - why would they possibly want to give a paying customer something that’s knowingly broken? Keep the comments real Sam, don’t pretend to know something nobody else does :{

Might be handy for surplus clothing/shoe storage in the loft?

I can see it working on the coldest days, but as we approach the promised heatwave (where's it gone?)................... Anyway, you might want to consider making a mop your first post? ;)
