Brilliant. Yet people are spending how long complaining/arguing about it?

My logic suggests that some of the Ebay sellers are desperados and undercut each other by pennies. This offer appears to have gone the other way already. I've jumped on one at £34.75 from the listed seller. Now they are £33 and one is selling at £32 and accepting best offers lower than that.

Fair comment. I hadn't considered that. You're right. Each to their own. Everyone has their own reasons for buying. I personally don't think price will drop any lower. I read some bad reviews about the game which made me hesitate but at the end of the day I always say you never know until you try it for yourself. It's like someone telling you a movie is rubbish. You might actually like it. Everyone has different tastes and criteria of what's good and what's not.

I actually emailed the seller grumpy greyhound before I bought and asked if they could do a better deal. Apparently, the price is already on the knuckle so they couldn't discount anymore.

It definitely isn't as responsive as playing with a keyboard and mouse at a high framrate with g-sync. Its not the switches fault, most first person games are simply far better suited for pc controls, games designed exclusively for the switch like botw or Mario odyssey feel fine.

But like I said, its just my opinion, Its not that i cant play it, Im just saying that after playing skyrim in a certain way for so long, the switch version feels sluggish in comparison, lessening the experience. I can only imagine how bad doom is though lol.

I am pretty sure the Special Edition works on ultra wide with no modification. My son runs it on his UW screen. I don’t know for sure about the Legendary / Vanilla version but I think it needs a mod. There is a program that runs in the background called flawless widescreen which supports many games including the original Skyrim. Worth having a look at as it auto updates and from memory you don’t need to fiddle with settings.

FYI - Legendary edition has all the dlc but is the original version. Special Edition was released around a year ago (??) updated with higher res graphics, although the character faces are still poor unless modded.
So many different "editions" I don't know which to choose. Glad I read your blurb first @dan_lesser I'd have thought legendary would have come after special. Which if any support ultra widescreen monitors natively without messing with mods please?
Edited by: "steven5watson" 25th Jan
Good value. You can make this version look better than the new “Special Edition” if you mod it up (use Nexus mod manager and the Nexus website for the best results, but there are some rules in terms of load order for the mods and it can be a bit fiddly - I think you can use steam workshop too which is probably easier).

If you can’t be bothered with mods, the Special Edition looks so much better than the vanilla Legendary Edition. Which is really showing its age in my opinion. You can still mod the Special Edition to look even nicer.

You can also mod it’s predecessor Oblivion to a high graphics quality level - I started to do that last night but I am chugging along on less than 25fps on a fairly decent rig, so I’ve got some tweaking to do. Looks great though.

Yes S/H values seem to be good.

I initally purchased V1 from Amazon on BF but have returned it and got V2 for about £30-40 more. I find V2 alot simpler in terms of dangling wires but in the end they both do the same thing.

Dont have a 4K telly yet. I also upgraded to a PS4 Pro and although no great difference its worth it for a smoother gameplay and faster loading experience.

Tried the Kitchen demo free off PS Plus and man was that terrifying!!

Thanks. The full list is sinking the deal potential for sure.
Agree with the comments, most if not all of these games have been under £15 at some point

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is pretty much £12.99 everywhere now

Is it though?

I do love it when people post these ridiculous things with no proof. You cannot get a new physical copy for £12.99 at the moment and time machines do not exist. They are all around the £20 mark. Sure you can buy a digital copy for a US account at that price point, but not everyone wants to faff around with that. Not to mention the deal you are commenting on its for physical copies...

'PlayStation VR works just as well on PS4 Pro as it does on PS4. For now, we’re seeing minute improvements in visuals at best, while tracking performance is unchanged. Loading times on PS4 Pro seem snappier and that also translates to less noticeable texture pop-in in some cases which is a bigger deal in VR than regular games because of how closely you can inspect the world around you. There’s also an extra USB port on the back of the PS4 Pro which is really handy for hooking up the PlayStation VR breakout box without stealing one of the front ports which are best saved for connecting and charging controllers.

Keep in mind that the titles above, and pretty much every PlayStation VR title launched to date, were made with the PS4 in mind. We expect in the future to see more significant visual improvements for PSVR titles running on PS4 Pro as developers have more time to optimize their titles (and begin building new ones from scratch) for the extra horsepower. While the 1080p display and poor mura correction are the biggest bottlenecks to the headset’s visuals, increased supersampling can do wonders if applied appropriately to a well optimized VR game.'

Skyrim PSVR has dropped slightly in price. Lowest price so far according to the camels. Will it drop further?
I understand Skyrim has been redesigned from the ground up for VR. Personally I have never played the original (although own it of course, as part of my back catalogue of games that must be played, along with Oblivion ;). Played the PSVR as part of my first PSVR demo and WOW. All I have sadly done so far is sit in a cart listening to people talk and trying to touch them! The experience is pretty overwhelming. Haven't even started the game proper or connected the wand controllers. Took the headset off and I had knocked over several items in the room without realising I had even touched anything 'real'. PSVR is fantastic.

The field of view is too small? the whole point of VR is the ability to look around giving you a complete 360 view, as for the movement being juddery it runs at 60fps with snap turning as default you could have switched to smooth movement in the settings, but this is not something you would've been aware of after 10 minutes. I never played Skyrim so I had no expectations and I wouldn't say the graphics are anyway near poor but what would you think a 30fps open world would look like running at 60fps?
