Yes but both are made by the same developer. Its more or less the same game with some tweaking and in a different setting. That is why I compared the two.

yeboi

There's around 4 years difference in age between the two. Skyrim is also a last gen game, if you were playing both at the same time, fallout 4 is likely to feel a lot better and less dated. However personally fallout 4 was not as fun for me as Skyrim or fallout 3/NV. Something just didn't resonate, I completed the main story etc, but I don't think I'll ever return.

louiearch9309

Really, I played Skyrim on ps3 and loved it. But didn’t fully complete it. I played fallout 4 to. I think they are diverse in their own right and I am itching to go back and play Skyrim now having just nukaworld to complete.

kay_uddin

Couldn't get into this for some reason. Man those giants were annoying. Played Fallout 4 and Skyrim at the same time. Fallout 4 won me over so decided to sell this. Each to their own though. Head added :)

tearfly

I use the Rustic Weathers mod on PS4 to give the weather a slightly more realistic look. Makes the nights darker too but not too dark like some other weather mods. Two other mods I can't live without: one that makes weapon enchants permanent (no more soul gem recharging!) and one that stops enemies sliding left and right when you're trying to shoot them with a bow. That last one can be so annoying.

Fallout 4. (cheeky)

jimstar

Well... Skyrim was/is brilliant but it's showing it's age. Witcher 3 is my favourite game of the current gen, and tbh i prefer the combat by miles. Despite being similar in tone (medieval fantasy, open world, choice mechanics) they're actually very different games... But if I'd reeeeeeally have to pick one I'd go with the Witcher. :)

Apples & oranges.

Dom_Bomb

I would recommend Skyrim on the ps vr. I also own on the switch and Xbox one but the vr version is brilliant. Like mentioned already switch for mobile gaming, ps vr for immersion.

toca73

If you got the move controllers, get this over the switch version, it really immersive, and cheaper. You can get Witcher 3 GOTY, Monster hunter World as alternative games on PS4 and the forthcoming dark souls on the switch.

Dogpitt

One is entirely mobile and the other couldn't be any less so, even if it tried.

theframe8

Never been interested in these games before now, but can't decide whether to go for this or get on Switch. I guess they will be pretty different experiences :/

raverdave2k

Only used them once so can't comment as to "Normal" but my copy from them was sealed, pristine and still had redeemable eshop points so every indication it was brand new.

lewreed

My copy arrived with the case cracked in two places, inlet torn, and scratches on the cartridge contacts that indicate second hand use. Is this normal for this seller?

yeboi

No, its not subjective. I was using your measures, Witcher 3 is a lot bigger than skyrim, you were going off size and content. Witcher 3 is 3.5x the size of skyirm and has way more content. You even used BOTW earlier to compare, which is also a bigger map than skyrim and still has another DLC coming out, so arguably should have more content.

skratchgonzo

I'd like to play this game but i really don't feel like I have the time. Looks like the type of thing you gotta commit to and I got ** to do lol

Minstadave

And that's not subjective? I think we just have to disagree on this one.

Likewise I got this from the Indonesia store (yet to play it, of course) but for those who don't have the Asian account, as you say this is still a fairly good price.

Cold! Not from South East Asia ;) Seriously, I got this for around £7.50 from PS Store Singapore, but heat for those unwilling to set up a million different accounts and create a massive spreadsheet for currency conversion (highfive)

Playing this now on the XBX, and i am enjoying it, game looks glorious on a big 4k tv, plus i picked up a 15 quid topup card ftom cdkeys for 13.77 from another thread here, so £13.77 for the game is a steal to be able to sit parked on the sofa in front or you big tv.

Mechtup

I’d be tempted if you didn’t have to download the data every time!

liveinabin

It’s also 64-bit which is a big deal for stability, especially when you add mods (which you totally should)

Ok i see you have to either be new or make a new account, so just made a new account and the code worked....so Skyrim again on the XBX, fingered crossed this is the platform finish it on. lol Heat, the game over 5 different hardware platfroms heat. lol

m.ad

Already have it on PC. And on my Switch. Oh wait - and Xbox One. Darn you, Bethesda! I would fight back, until I took an arrow to the knee :( oh well...

XP200

Anybody getting code not valid, signed in card in basket, apply code...code not valid. :(

XP200

It is ok, the controls are not my cup of tea though, very jangly and not very intuitive, put me off it completely, works great with a joypad but the motion controls are just horrble, you are basically fighting with them constantly, and the menus are just horrible, no sense of being in total control, hack and slash weapons are ok but try and use a bow and you do not feel you are in total control of where it is going, magic is a bit better due to the fact it does not need to be a precise as a bow, but game still needs need a lot of work and i personally have no desire to try and use mods to fix yet another Bethesda game. lol Maybe try it in 6 months time and see if they have improved it, oh and i am using a 2 rift sensor setup, so i can't imgaine what the game will be like with just one sensor. :S

try lone echo, elite dangerous and pCARS2 in vr then you will be in a position of authority to judge... (possibly skyrim vr too but i have not played it yet.........) some game genres once you play in vr there is no going back.

vodzurk

Did 73 hours. Can't imagine playing it without VR. And VR Subnautica was MEEEENNNTALLL! :)

simonbrown

Thought as much. All I'm saying is - that doesn't exactly put you in a great position to judge whether VR is a novelty or not, versus people who have used it for 100+ hours.

great deal, very happy they seemd to have made a brilliant vr port. I've bought too many games in the oculus sale to get this now but will definitely pick it up at some point

londonlad19

It's a virtual card, so you use it like you would any card purchase. I also work backwards so I put in the amount of rand I need and it will tell you how much in £ that is and so you only convert what you need. I do believe there is a £10 minimum top up though for Revolut. There are some countries that don't accept it but I do not know which they are, maybe someone else knows?

ibainzyy

@Biddy2 its now at £33.99 still a good price though

StolenDiagram

So when you convert it to rand, how do you use the amount on the e shop? I've also heard that not every store accepts revolut as well.

londonlad19

You can download an app on your phone called Revolut, it's a virtual card and you top it up and then convert £ to other currencies. Has come in very handy for this as South Africa a lot of the times is cheaper!

StolenDiagram

How do you buy from the SA Eshop? It won' take my PayPal and my cards wont work :(

allenjones2003

Not sure why this is cold? By far best "full psvr game" - not a tech demo and cheapest price available?

fatcatsatonthemat

I really want to try this again. Had real issues with the left move controller not calibrating correctly and I had to twist my left arm behind my back to get it to line up properly on screen. Anyone else had this problem? Never had the same problem with any other VR games. This is the cheapest price I have seen it going for (so heat) but I think £20 would be a more reasonable price.

This is £31.99 today from GMG with code PAYDAY20. Also looks like you can cancel if somewhere else gets it cheaper (as long as it's before 48 hrs from release). Sucks to pay this much but it's the cheapest around.

Lquiz

I own fallout 4 VR and have no issues with the quality of the port, it was actually fantastic. The game itself definitely lacks something that Skyrim has, though.

ZeroBlitz

Reviews and general reception for the game on PS4 was great though. Some people quibble about the downscaled graphics and having to get used to the Move controls (if you opt for that over regular controller) but it's generally agreed to be a fantastic experience regardless and both those minor cons should really be better on PC VR. Otherwise I agree with waiting if just to make sure they iron out any kinks as Bethesda games are infamous for bugs and apparently fallout 4 vr's optimisation wasn't very good

Dickytwo

It got mixed reviews on PS4 VR so I would wait a while anyway....but a good price for an AAA title if anyone wants to take a punt...

The game is great on switch, however now I have 40+ hours in it it seems to run sometimes more sluggishly and has the occasional sound problem where it will scream static at you. No words on if this will be fixed yet or if this is a Bethesda feature...
