Thanks mate... it got so cold I did not understand why as this is from ledger themselves and Amazon is their authorised retailer for their shop ..granted other sellers on Amazon would not be advisable but ledger will get stock in a month to sell on their site... And all other authorised retails have upped their prices sky high.
People who don' know about this do not realise this is the new set price and you won' be able to get it cheaper in the future maybe by 5 pounds from ledger themselves on their website but who knows when that will be.

I think it' super hot

The point is that these are the only areas where crypto has any real benefits over the current system. Those are it's actual use cases after almost a decade of its existence, unless you count fervant speculation.

Mor clichés of minimal substance from you Kev sorry.

Seems you have a very limited understanding of the whole thing from your …Seems you have a very limited understanding of the whole thing from your constant return to the same old cliches I've been hearing for nearly a decade. Are you just doing KYC AML checks or something?

I'm not trying to skip any of your points, I'm just not normally a very confrontational or argumentative person (words on the internet and all that). I originally only wanted to add my opinion on crypto to the discussion. I do enjoy sensible discussion but when people resort to insults, as some have in this thread, it becomes pointless.

I've only been in the markets for around 4 years but unfortunately regulation was always going to come in as crypto grew in popularity, and I guess even die hard users like myself have to accept this. It doesn't stop it being useful, but the central authorities were never going to let it 'take off' without trying to centralize or get in on the act themselves. I guess it would be naive to think otherwise but I was never in it for anonymity.

Bitcoin has real use and utility to me, seeing as I get paid in, and use it to buy things. I will never have to worry about money again thanks to the rise this year. This has of course been great for me personally but I also realise that it will bring you back to the volatility argument and to be honest I wholeheartedly agree that it's too ridiculous in it's movements at the moment. Hopefully that will settle once higher marks are set and the available supply decreases.

I'm sure everyone else has their own pros/cons and opinions but to me it's something that I think will be used for a long time to come, at least in some form or another (maybe not Bitcoin itself). With regards to the price, it's all about supply and demand, which looking at the Bitcoin market cap appears to be proving most of the naysayers wrong. Also, when I fiat any of my coins I pay the taxes as necessary, so to group everyone who uses it in the old 'criminals and tax avoiders' category is a cliche in itself.

Don't get me wrong, the entire market has it's issues - scams, ponzi and straight up phishing/thefts - and there are still things that require a good ironing out (we've all been there through the blocksize issues, forks and petty in-fighting) but I would generally love crypto to succeed as a technology and means of payment/value storage (ie/ assets, shares, records) as it would bring added security and legibility to many areas. Let's not forget that fiat markets are open to just as much manipulation and scams.

As I've said, if the whole thing dies and I am wrong I will come back and hold my hands up :D. BUT I really don't see that scenario occurring anywhere in the near future.

So you can lose the actual Ledger device but your cryptos will be retrievable as long as you still have that recovery phrase written down somewhere and you can move your cryptos from the lost ledger on to a new device. I haven't tried this myself but I'm fairly sure Ive got the principle of the 24 word recovery phrase correct.

Ok so that means my wallet info is still stored in the cloud somewhere then. Does that not defeat the purpose of an offline cold wallet?
Most wallets have pass codes. I’ve printed mine off and stored them securely. Willing to be more secure but failing to see how this is more so. Or is it this acts as an encryption key but there is always the possibility a wallet could be hacked?

I'd mostly agree but Steep for example is £13.49 right now, which appears to be cheaper than all the grey market sellers and Uplay itself (even if you use the 20% discount for 100 points).

Pretty much every game available on steam is available cheaper elsewhere (usually much cheaper) so this deal is pretty pointless and only obliges you to get ripped off by purchasing directly from steam.
Bit of a meh deal IMHO though to be fair it's hard to find Steam credit with any significant discount, especially during sale time.

Personally if I was buying this much all at once I would want at least £5 off to consider it worth my while but as I said I don't think anywhere is doing it so if you must have it, it's probably best bet but can't vote hot on such a modest discount....
ChrisIW3 m ago

You can only gte the 5% off once now though right?

Twice per account. If it runs out just make another. IMHO CDkeys are stupid for introducing the limit, used to be unlimited use, only encourages people to make extra accounts, which will then forever lie dormant after being used twice....

Isn't the post for a deal rather than whether the content is value for money or not? Personally, I would never spend £999 on an iPhone X and if someone posted a deal for one at £800, I would still think it is a total rip off - someone else might think it's a bargain.
The Destiny 2 DLC has plenty of content outside of the storyline (which isn't too challenging or long). As mentioned earlier, there are now Heroic Strikes, a new strike, new adventures, a new Crucible map, new gear/weapons/ornaments and new raid lair (twist on leviathan, not sure).

It is even worse, it is a DLC that contains a lame 30 mins story, and mostly it contains items from Destiny 1 that they had removed to give a fresh experience in D2.

At this stage of the game i can't really continue to blame the gaming industry for doing all this because they have a consumer base that seems to be more than happy to continue to give money to them hand over fist no matter what, and i don't see this changing anytime soon unless these gaming consumers stop supporting said practices.

The gaming ndustry today is exactly what gamers have made it.
After hearing about bungee purposely making it so the longer you play the game the less likely you are to get rewards so you end up buying silver coins they held their hands up to this and changed the scoring system only to make the rewards cost a lot more XP so basically they got caught with their pants down and instead of owning up to it they thought they would be sly and still make it so they make money from players who play the game. Out of discussed I have no longer played my copy of the game and I certainly will not pay equivalent of a brand-new games worth of money just for some TLC using revamped enemies and the same old weapons... do not give Panje the satisfaction of your money and time!!!
