McDonald's receipt

I did two orders a while ago, one on the app and the other I used the screen instore to make a food for thoughts order as you can't do it on the app(?). I didn't get a receipt at all, only a kind of receipt for the app order but I couldn't use it for food for thoughts. Is that normal? My dad always gets a normal receipt when going though drive through. I think I have had them when asking in person. Does using the screen instore never give you a receipt? Do you get a receipt when redeeming a food for thoughts code to a staff member?

99% of the time the screens are out of paper in the maccys near me.

Most machines in store don't have receipt paper. Best to watch someone place their order to see if a receipt comes out (edited)

You get an email receipt if you’ve used the app. Check the email address of the registered account.

When the self service machine is out of paper just ask someone at the till to give you the receipt,
they can print out another copy, i've had to do it several times and they do it with no issues

Do they give you a receipt where you can do a food for thoughts though?

When I visit McDonald's I find that most of the time the machines don't give a receipt so I have to ask for one so I can then do the survey when I get home to enable me to get a cheap meal another day.It does make me wonder if it's deliberate and that they would prefer people not to have the receipt to be able to do that.

Yeah, seems suspicious that in every store people here have mentioned hardly any screens have a receipt! I will probably just go to the till and speak to a human, I think you usually get a receipt that way. (edited)
