Alpro 1LTR coconut almomd/coconut original - £1 instore @ asda
LocalLocalFound 14th AprFound 14th Apr
Alpro coconut 1ltr at asda in-store

Cow milk is somewhere around 85-95% water

Great price, love the taste of almondmilk.

The almond is a very handy long life standby for cereals (and at a push, even for coffee) and tastes way better than UHT milk.

I found the coconut to be a bit overpowering. Much prefer the unroasted almond as it has a marzipan like taste. Either drink it straight of make iced coffees with it. Are there any with a higher % of coconut, almond or whatever? Do agree with the thickening part as some do seem "gloopy".

A great price if you love this stuff but... A carton of Alpro's almond milk is only 2 percent almonds. The rest of it is water and added vitamins, minerals and thickening agents. (nerd)

OGX Coconut Oil Mist £1.84 Normally £7.35 instore at Boots Brighton
LocalLocalFound 14th AprFound 14th Apr
Still listed as full price on the Boots web site, I bought one for myself and does definitely scan at the lower price. This was in the North Street, Brighton store.

Yes I did see 2 varieties , in 3 different boots stores today, all £7. This is a great price if you can find it, just none for me.

This one is not the same. It is hydrating not nourishing

Full price in mine, so not national.

Smells like coconut. Aye, it's bounty.

If anyone's got a boat the empty bottles would make good fenders.

I bought 2 of these the other day. My mum cut her finger opening the inner seal. Open with caution

Yea i thought they made the bottle out of coconut too!

Thanks I will take a look, maybe the poundstretcher ones are easier to get into, the B&M ones are in ridiculously strong containers and seals. (y) (y)

i Have been buying these from B&M and thought they were a bargain . Have you seen these, go coco water in poundstretchers 330ml just 29p Really refreshing. Cheaper alternative 💖

Lidl don't sell it anymore - Aldi £0.70 500g, the the rip off merchants Sainsbury's £1.00, Waitrose £1.50

You're 100% right but our local Lidle's in Hastings/Bexhill don't stock it any more. I asked a manager who told that it was being rebranded.

As others have said, they aren't very good quality. I'd definitely look to only use anything above 60%

this is just pure water. there's better one in Lidl with 82% coconut extract.

Its mainly water! 41% Coconut Extract. I got some at this price a while back, but I didn't read the ingredients until I got home and then wished I hadn't! (Ingredients: Water, Coconut Extract 40.91%, Stabilizer (Carboxy Mrthyl Cellulose), Emulsifier (Polysorbate 60))

Funny how generations gone by had a very high saturated fat diet yet obesity and diabetes were relatively uncommon. Then companies were encouraged to strip fat out of foods , yoghurt etc ,only to replace it with sugar.. Genius . Now after 40 years of completely wrong advice the government has targeted sugar as the real culprit and intends sugar taxes. high carbs, sugars and the trans fats found in many fast foods cause inflammation which in turn causes heart disease.. No link has been established to natural fats in dairy etc.

Yes, because people are not following the advice. How many people on here eat lots of saturated fats and processed foods...even though governments and health organisations all say that you shouldn't consume these products. Universally, everybody agrees that a diet rich in fruit/veg and not processed foods is best for the human body. The problem is that a lot of people rarely follow this advice, then end up with heart disease and diabetes. My own mother is a good example. She cooks her food as if she is trying her best to eat herself to death. She has T2 diabetes, btw.

How have you arraived at the conclusion that saturated fat is good fat and have you had your blood cholestorol measured lately?

A human being will increase their chance of getting heart disease if they consume high amounts of saturated fat. So, in a round about way, yes, she will eventually die if she keeps overdosing on saturated fat.

load of moaners added to my ignored list, thanks OP, good deal too.

Plenty of articles about it, but basically it rising the estrogen and lower your energy in gym. It has good stuff like make your hair stronger and some other things that I forgot... but it is not for me. It is cheap protein used just to say that there is a protein in some desserts or other types of food. ;)

Thank you - will go and check out my local tomorrow

Loads of random stuff in my local today but none of it was priced up...?!

These are yummy. The nakd ones next to it sounded nice, cashew nut cookie, but yuk! They are made of dates and no cookie in it! Was very disappointed. Heat for the trex bars anyway, they are yummy (y)

Apparently soya isnt as good as whey or other proteins ive been on fitness regime and eating more protein for like 10 days so hardly an expert but ye soya isnt the best apparently.
