Does anyone know if this has Find my Phone ? I'm forever losing it round the house and the feature on my current fitband is really handy.
No pig farm pink then
So the £10 of won't work?
Proper.
Might not be working anymore. I gave my code to someone else
Thanks for the explanation. I like the Amazon Warehouse way of doing things with the 'Used - like New/Good/Acceptable' and a description, at least you know the history. I think with a lot of these smart watches they have a reasonable amount of returns from customers who couldn't get it to work with the app/wouldn't pair, features and functions not what they wanted, changed their mind etc. Therefore have a bunch of returns they can't sell as new, but with no real issues or faults except packaging damage, maybe a few small cosmetic marks.
Specifically it means not "new" which is an important legal definition on goods sold. Beyond that is upto what is detailed in the advert from the vendor and can mean any and everything they choose it to be including the examples you have given and more.
I always wonder what seller refurbished means. Cleaned them up? Taken them apart and cleaned them up? Fixed returns that were not working? As a general rule does anybody know what seller refurbished usually means?
You do realise that hardware and previous history from Facebook does not bode well here. The only real success they have had is not home grown projects outside the core of their business. The phone example being pulled after 1 month and portal, with a huge marketing campaign, was well below their targets until the pandemic took over. Additionally they have announced they are going android which every other manufacturer is presently running away from in wearables and that is before you get to the question on facebook tracking which does not exactly have the best of records out there.
They building up new system to link many corporations into one core. Reason why E Musk have sent another bunch (90!) of satellites into the space last week.
Try running down to zero and then give it a full charge. On some devices this recalibrates the software that provides the battery percentage. But don’t run it down to zero very often after that. Thereafter you want to recharge it before it drops below 50% if you want the battery to last several years.
Update, used my P30 Pro super charger and it has nudged it to 100%, hopefully future chaging will be OK.
Huawei quick charger - 2A @ 5v and 9v
Mine goes to 100%. What is your charger rated for
Does anyones's watch charge to 100%? Mine stops at 99%
It's frustrating because all the watches with the necessary features are either much higher priced or have a near useless battery life. If Huawei had the 'nice to have' bits I'm sure they would have a niche product
Ok thanks for your help Theo (highfive)
No NFC on Huawei
Hi switchy.. this is a nice looking smart watch! Do you know if you can change the face on this and does it have nfc for payments at shops etc
Arrived today. Love it so far!
Smart Watches are still relatively basic and rudimentary, akin to smartphones from 8 or 9 years ago in terms of features, specification, battery life.
If only it supported Google Pay, still waiting for something with decent battery life that does.
Is this because of watching Boris Johnson's daily COVID report and remonstrating vigorously waving your fists at the screen?
One point to notice is that the 42mm version doesn't allow Bluetooth Audio for making/taking calls, the 46mm version does.
I’ve this watch and think it’s great. I want an app for the iPhone in which I can monitor my walking / fitness etc and can share with my friends too and that they can do the same. I’ve tried an app called Outwalk which appears to do the trick but doesn’t sync the steps unless I open the Huawei app first and then open Outwalk. Suggestions anybody?
I rest my case.... :{ HUKD linky
Nice find @fergysteven1 - thanks for taking time to post :)
You hit on their, pricespy says its never been under £129
bought on the deal at the weekend , well worth the money. it arrived quickly and works well. only on cahrge and still at 80%, even used for sleep monitor. very comfortable will connect to any android phone once you have the app installed (from the app store ) and can share data out to google health. but not anything like strava so not great if you want to boast about how amazing your running is (y)
I have a GT2. Looks great but the GPS tracking is terrible. I have sent mine back and had it replaced but still very poor. The Huawei Band 3 I had before is much more accurate. Don't buy if you want to use it for running.
Not entirely sure there is a complete understanding of this model, as I understand, this is the standard GT2 model but with a titanium strap. This device does not support Strava. I have the GT2 pro (titanium body) with call support, which is awesome. Huawei watches are very good, but please do check support with your smartphone and model specifics
I have the gt2e and that doesn't so I imagine this won't work with Strava either. It uses its own so, health which isn't bad. I run Strava on my phone and track via watch for heart rate
Are the straps Changeable?
Well THAT cost me £130! Stop it (shock)
Great thanks just bought one. The 46mm as long as you go for the "HUAWEI WATCH GT 2 PEBBLE Brown" Also used TopCashBack just what I was looking for thanks :)
Thanks (y)
Name. That's it.
The 4e doesn't show who is calling or show the message.
Thanks my man
With you on all counts.
One thing I don't like about any of these "smart watches" is when they don't function as a stand alone device. Watches that require a phone, and sometimes even a computer in order for them to operate. If I turn my Garmin off or restart it, it doesn't have a stand by battery. When I turn it on again, it starts off at the time it was when I restarted/turned it off until I connect it via Bluetooth and sync to my phone. Also upto date weather widget requires phone Bluetooth and location services. I don't like having both on all the time.
I did read somewhere that they sell honor bands and devices at a loss to get people into the Huawei ecosystem. Also to get your data which they can learn a lot from for medical, health and marketing purposes etc.
Yes, seems to be a separate issue. Interestingly, I find mine very accurate in all respects, Sp02 and other things I have checked against other reliable devices, my Garmin was awful for HR due to the algorithm issue mentioned on their community boards but I accept it works for many. :) I suppose in my case I find it works really well and a I like the look and feel but based on this constant need to "check in", I would not buy another. The person above said they want to know what you had for breakfast, that is one way of putting it. ;)
I agree, seems to be a separate issue if its every few days. I had the honor Magic Watch 2 46mm version and ended up sending that back after a few weeks. The Huawei health app is okay but it wouldn't let me disable its use of the phone as a step counter. The watch itself was bad enough counting thousands of steps during car or train journeys, then the phone on top of that would pick up any bumps that the watch missed and your daily step count was an amalgamation of the two. Other issues included a baro/altimeter you couldn't manually calibrate, it would count elevation climbed in metres when driving as the movement tricked the step counter and as the pressure sensor records altitude it thought I was walking, so you'd get ridiculous elevation climbed stats. Heart rate sensor was also poor, evenduring running which is an easier task for the sensors. GPS was okay, probably on par with the Garmin, good in easy GPS conditions but mediocre when any kind of trees, buildings, valleys, etc were introduced.
No, Thats the 42mm
Any chance these will ever get Strava?
How would this compare to Amazfit GTS 2 Mini Smart Watch ? Do you have an eta on the ECG version you mentioned?
I've turned off all that I think Full charge late Sunday, 2 days and nearly 20% drop, so still on track for around 10 days
I had a gt 1 and breezed through 14 days touching 16, just ordered a gt2 as a friend has one, he uses all the power saving features and gets around the same as my old GT 1 when it was new
Has anyone went for the pods from £90 to £50 with this deal? Just wondering if they're worth it?
Thank you! Ordered without it yesterday. £110 is still a good price with the speaker thrown in
Yea apple also get protection from local govt. As it is incorporated in USA. Apples prices are outrageous. I would never pay a grand for a phone. You can get same features with Huawei phones. Samsung was better at pricing but now they are following apple. However atleast Samsung phones do drop in prices a few months post release. Apple doesn't even do that. Just a cash hoarding company
I can see why huawei got banned. Too competitive against apple/samsung. They have almost every product like apple and Samsung at much cheaper prices.
How do you get the student discount please? Heat added
I haven't tried it yet. I imagine you have to grant permission and setup in the Alexa app like other third party stuff . What can you actually do with a smart watch and Alexa anyway ?
Must have missed that one as it's gone up to £182 which is more than I want to pay for this watch. Thanks for the heads up
I’ve since set up the watch, but I don’t have a clue how to set up Alexa on it, do you?
My pro arrived today too! Haven’t unboxed it yet as I’ve been at work but one of the disadvantages to this over the amazfit was the lack of Alexa (I thought). I would be interested and over the moon if Alexa works on it though. :D
I wonder if I need to find a way to trick the app to think I have the pro, so I can download the pro faces
Mine will be collected on Tuesday. Cant wait...
Bought in a flash - looks great! Thanks (y)
Yes I managed to nab one at this price! Absolutely amazing watch for the price.
Agreed on the features. The only thing is I believe honor is cheaper coz Huawei are selling/ sold honor
Decent deal but this is essentially the exact same watch as the Honor Magic Watch 2 that was £85 a few days ago, with 4% cashback and a free pair of bluetooth headphones that sell for £69.99 on Honor's site. If you can hang off, I am sure that type of price will appear again. If not, this is still a good price for what you get.

I don't know, but I would presume so if the app is supported by iOS
Plenty of places in the UK to buy them just Google amazfit gtr2 and click the shopping link. Alternatively some great deals to be had via eBay.
Thanks, how well do these work with iPhones?
Yes any notification your phone gets you can get on the watch (you pick and choose which apps to enable). You can't action them, or reply, unless it is a call.
I bought the same one with the earphones for £80 after TCB. That was by far the best Smartwatch deal. I think they're exactly the same and both made by the same company. I'm guessing just different branding Huawei and Honor.

Any codes left please
Good evening I know massive favour but if anyone could message and share a code it would be very much appreciated.
Please inbox me a code ? Thanks to all.
No integration with see any 3rd parties, or data export i.e Strava
And with wrong readings when use them besides my fitbit massive difference.

BBHHKTCJ1E1HZ8JW1K15% off code.
I second this, I have never dealt with such a poor company.
Is it possible to use any 3rd party apps for running/fitness or is it only Huawei Health app?
Shocking customer service. Dealt with by third party who reject most claims. See trust pilot reviews

Voucher not working now. Guys any new Voucher?

Sorry, How is model compared to the GT 2 Pro model?
?

42mm does not have speakers. 46mm does. Also speakers and 4e band now out of stock
Apparently 42mm version hasnt got speaker so you cannot answer the phones calls?
Choose black
Not an option for me. Just a 46mm button.
Have you switched to the 42mm one?

The code isn't working.
Ebay has them starting from £4.99.
free speaker is there for me
Have a look at this strap if you get the GT2. Fits the GT also and they do it in black. Have this myself and it looks amazing! £16.99. Heat for the deal, great price. I paid £125 in the sales. 🔥🔥🔥 Metal Strap for Huawei GT/GT2 (£16.99) Black Metal Strap Huawei GT/GT2 (£15.99) Other colours are available but these are the nicest I would say.
Deliver was quite quick, next day with DHL. The strap is only available in red and not grey.
Thanks. 8)
