Got this one in the end to match the keyboard: https://www.amazon.co.uk/HyperX-HX-WR-45-7-Wrist-Rest/dp/B07GP7JXQY

To be honest it’s not a dealbreaker so I’ll probably wait until this keyboard dies in however many years and then get the latest and greatest then. I’m looking for a wrist rest too...not sure which to go for yet but will buy something at the weekend.

Thanks, do you have any recommendations for a wrist rest? Maybe you can get something like this (bit expensive tho) - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Controller-Vaydeer-Multimedia-Controll-Function-black/dp/B08V4ZB5MV/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=media+keys&qid=1620922449&sr=8-3

Had mine a couple of days and the build quality seems top notch so far. Only thing I miss from the keyboard is dedicated media function buttons like the Razer keyboards or Logitech ones.

How does this compare with the Razer Huntsman Elite/Razer or any of the Razer Blackwidow keyboards? I've got huntsman and blackwidow atm and looking to switch - Razer gear always breaks & is overpriced AF. I have a feeling this is probably just as good..

Really appreciate it. Been getting a bit bored of wiggling my turtle beach cable to get audio working in at least one ear!

Glad that I could help Eddie, it's a shame the price jumped back up so quickly.

Price have gone back up to £111.89 just as I was checking out! Gutted.

Thank you. Purchased. Been waiting to buy a new headset and this seems perfect.

Fantastic headphones, using them right now. Good for gaming and music. All-day comfort. No regrets.

Oh Dear! It will NOT work on Xbox Not that I’ve tried, but according to HyperX themselves (something to do with licensing and the way Microsoft do things), they are not compatible. Which is a shame. reddit.com/r/HyperX/comments/j1lp5z/cloud_stinger_core_wireless_71_on_xbox/?utm_source=amp&utm_medium=&utm_content=post_body

Doh. Just picked this up and realised it doesn't mention Xbox. Will this work before I open it

Well mine have arrived. I messed up and initially purchased them off Currys eBay and didn't get to use the £5 off code. Gutted. But made myself feel better by ordering another pair from Currys direct, and convincing myself that the superfast delivery on this pair (ordered on Saturday, got here Bank Holiday Monday), was worth it! Anyway, thoughts. They sound very good. Not quite as good as the ever popular wired Cloud Stinger 2.0, but not far off at all. More than acceptable even for music at this price, certainly much better than most other Gaming Headsets at this range. The mic is very good and doesn't pick up any background noise, just voice, which is really quite clear and loud without having to raise your voice. Build not quite as robust as the wired 2.0, but not far off. Not worried about them breaking. It uses a fabric foam for the earcups and headband. I prefer pleather for cleaning purposes. But this is just nitpicking, they are fantastically comfortable and better aurally and materially than anything from the like of say Corsair at this price (or even a bit higher). The receiver is a bit annoying in that it constantly flashes red (though not obtrusive) when you turn them off. Would have been better if they were a solid colour when nothing connected, and a different colour when connected instead of constantly flashing and then turning solid. The range is very good. Using them on a computer upstairs, no loss even going downstairs to the opposite extreme of the house. A good 10m "LOS". But that will depend on what other devices/interference you might have. The instructions are crap, but again not really needed. Just remember to press and hold the power button for a couple of seconds to turn on and off, not just a quick press. They make a tone when turned on or off, and when max/min volume reached. The software is sparse and is only useful for turning the 7.1 on. Not necessary and they will still work without it. The simple software might be a good thing in some ways. But honestly not noticed much difference with the 7.1 on. There is a difference, but how useful that is I'm yet to determine. Overall, for this price, go for them, they're great. Similar to the Cloud Stinger 2.0 in sound and build, but with the advantage of being wireless.

great price for a wireless headset made by a great known brand . Heat 8)

Yes you're right. It is virtual surround. Thought that would have been obvious. It does say that in the main description as well (the bit about NGenuity software). Thanks for pointing that out though for extra clarity. @ngs just edited description to make it extra clear before the main marketing blurb.

Had the original stinger headset for about 7 years, only upgrading because I now live with a noisy parrot and I wanted some passive noise cancelation, something this does not have. As a budget headset, this rocks in my opinion.

Looking at the Amazon listing pictures it's a 3.5mm jack so if one of the newer styles with that Jack should be fine.

Does this connect straight to the controller or do I need an adapter?
