Cheaper at eBuyer

in my experience, your computer will always find a way of eating all your RAM :P maybe it's just my behaviour that changes, but I can't imagine having less than 24GB RAM in my laptop (8GB soldered, 16GB module... considering replacing with 32GB module) and 64GB RAM in my desktop

Also, 32 is a good upgrade for heavy photo and video editing, especially multitasking. The difference in price isn't as much compared to the multitasking gain

No you got me wrong, I meant get 2 sticks (2x8gb) instead of 1x16gb (1 stick of 16gb) as the performance difference between two sticks and one (even with the same amount of RAM) is huge

Special offer from Argos offering selected headsets, controllers and games in the 2 for £30 promo. Both PS4 and Xbox included, so may be some combo you are after :)

Went and picked the two up today, only question is "dad where do you plug the headset" so that's not gone down well - no headset port 😩😩😩 Edit: just read the description where it says no port, silly dad lol

Just download a small utility for controller calibration it's in the Microsoft store. It does ps and xbox controllers

Cheers pal, appreciate it.

Agreed! I got one in a "deal" for around £16 last year. If you move it a bit it gets disconnected and you can't use any other wires to replace the one that come with it.

They changed the price to 85 and back to 79.99 now (lol) (lol)

Was talking about the Hyper X mate, RGB!

I personally went for the Ballistix sport kits, has AES in the product code. These use Micron-E die which plays really well with the AMD CPUs. Got my 3200 cl15 (or cl16, can't remember) to 3733 cl18. Very stable as well. Wasn't able to get 3800, but you need both good RAM and CPU for that to be possible as the infinity fabric has to be on point.

Is there much difference between this and the non-rgb corsair vengeance that was posted last week for £10 cheaper? Or would I just be paying more for the rgb?

I hope you don't think that my screenshots are of the RAM in title, I posted a link to my RAM. Apologies if it is confusing that I posted about a different type of RAM. Patriot Viper Steel 4400 has no RGB or temperature sensor but has top binned samsung b-die. Compared to my M2Z3600C18 it is simply faster at the same clocks because it can do lower timings.

Thanks, would you recommend these over the arctis of a similar price, can't decide which ones to go for ?

Had my cloud 2 for about 3 years and they are still going perfect. I've used them actively for well over 3000 hours without any issues. Managed to pick them up for £60 at the time refurbished on eBay.

Chair turned up with the leather ripped. 3 attempts later to get an exchange and still no luck. Game have shocking customer service as I'm finding out the hard way. Won't buy off them again!

My IKEA Marcus has lasted me at least 10 years

It's hard to say that this offer is any good as GAME is sole seller in UK. As far I know, they could put a price tag of 400pounds. Look at foreign prices and you find out that this is normal price while in UK it's discounted...

Bought a cheap gaming chair off Amazon, OK but not the best. I'd tried buying an office chair but after 5 companies cancelled my order with all office chairs seemingly out of stock I gave up. Cost my £80 and is way better than sitting on a kitchen chair which was the alternative.

You are right although I purchased an inflatable cushion - it seems quite expensive at first but my crappy office chair (who cares about your employee comfort!) now is confy enough + memory foam lumbar cushion.

Yea it took me a while to get used to it been small but I just fingertip grip it and it's so good to aim with. I came from a Fnatic flick as my main mouse which was quite a bit larger, great mouse though.

I have an MM710 and want to like it's just a tad too small, it has the best stock feet on a mouse I've used though. My favourite is the Endgame Gear XM1, it fits me so perfectly but I keep bouncing between different mice.

(lol) (lol) I don't care what it looks like, it's one of the best mice out there.

No one has ever complained about my Stinger mic being tinny. It's not over sensitive either which is useful for Xbox when there's no sensitivity adjustment!

How does this compare to the Hyperx Cloud? My main issue with that was the mic, sounded tinny

I've had a pair of these for two years and they're great for the money; I paid £40. The flip up to mute mic is very handy and the overall sound is as good as headsets costing at least twice as much - great, well balanced sound. Comfort wise I've found it completely fine with big ears and glasses for sessions hours long. The construction feels cheap but gentle treatment should let them last a long time. Only real complaint is the volume control when not on full can affect the sound balance between each side, and a niggle is the ratchet mechanism isn't very stiff so most times you take it off/put it on it'll need readjusting. It looks a bit plain, but you can't see it when you're wearing it so... I've been playing PUBG on Xbox and Escape from Tarkov on PC mostly and its sound is well suited to those. The Xbox One adapter thing only applies if you're got the older controllers, it's just a standard 3.5mm jack, however it also comes with a splitter for use in a PC with an extension so it can reach behind the tower. I've used it on both Xbox and PC and it's perfectly adept at both. Don't think you could find a better headset for £35 to be honest.

If your regular headphones are even vaguely decent then there is no real advantage beyond convenience of an all in one unit. I love nice headphones, but I plugged some near 10 year old cheap Sony cans into my Xbox controller, activated Dolby Atmos and it is more than acceptable. I don't want a mic because I'm not gaming in a team or anything, but detecting the sounds of where I'm getting killed from in Warzone is easy still. I was looking at getting something like the Steel Series, but for now, my normal cans will do. Your mileage may vary of course.

I bought these phones and suffered a problem that has been widely reported which is static interference on the microphone . It is caused by a bad ground loop on your power circuit. This happens when you are plugged onto a power bar with an unstable electric item attached like a lamp. Plug your computer directly into the wall socket and it should go away.

Mines still haven't even been dispatched yet and I bought them the minute this deal was posted. Should I cancel the order and buy from somewhere else?

I got mine yesterday. Has anyone noticed the packaging differs from all unboxing videos on YouTube? Mine has two clear plastic moulds instead of foam and I’m missing the headphone rubber grommet protector, adapter thingy and extra phone cable. Box was sealed but I can help thinking this is a slightly cut down accessory version of the headset.

Ordered late yesterday afternoon, arrived just after lunch today. Black and red looks lovely, red is metallic. Trying to decide whether to order another pair of these or get a Plantronics Rig 500 Pro Hc for about a fiver more. Any opinions?

Mine arrived next day from Amazon, despite estimate delivery date given was 13th of May :o

True, they did. Still, seems a good price for a decent set of products.

The games they played with the V300 years ago in particular irked. After sending the review samples they changed the components and performance fell off a cliff with sub HDD speeds in some cases.

This A2000 NVME has good reviews. What’s wrong with it? Why so down on Kingston?

hyperx is £40 at amazon......3200mhz..... not 2666mhz is it? 240gb normal ssd is £34 atm.. ur getting an nvme for £3...... have i said 512gb? 500gb?....... except under alt ideas........ALT Ram ideas. read the post.

512Gb Sabrent Rocket is £69.99 dispatched by Amazon so almost exactly the same price as the 500Gb Kingston after taking £15 off, £20 more sold by Amazon directly. At this price point that's the drive I'd choose even at £20 more unless you really must hit this specific price. Same RAM is cheaper at Amazon (although a lot out of stock), the 8gb 3200 is £7 cheaper so that's half the £15 discount wiped out anyway.
