To be fair, this time it worked out as I have just collected the one they ordered in. It’s in excellent order so I’m very pleased. It is worth just giving that extra push sometimes. Hats off to Argos
Argos loves giving you smashed up boxes. But I also blame Lego too. For what you pay, they pack it in packaging only fit for your cereal.
When I collected mine from Argos, which was damaged, the girl said that when they arrive in the store, they are just in the Lego box, with no padding or protection. Not surprised then that the majority are damaged. Interesting though, you don’t get same issue with Lego from Sainsburys and they are both in the same building.
I have just ordered, collected and returned one off these . The box was so badly damaged that I was concerned about the contents. They had two, both damaged. I got a refund and they have ordered another one in, but I don’t hold out much hope. The store manager had no interest in customer satisfaction and said they always arrived damaged!
I agree it’s a gamble with Argos but you can sometimes get lucky with a good box. When there’s a deal on the key is to collect as quickly as possible if you can so that if they give you a damaged box you can ask to swap it. Once I collected the last one they had and got them to write me a note to say it was damaged when I collected it then when it came back in stock a couple of weeks later (after the price had increased) they swapped it for me no questions asked.

The olaf one went down to £3.00 in asda last year, then £1.30 so I'd wait a bit longer personally
Not a price match, bought this 2 weeks ago from amazon for £6, middle lad loves frogs and lizards and it’s a nice little set, the youngest managed to get hold of it and decided to use real marshmallows though :)
Smyths still got him for £6 too, I really think this set wasn't popular as even at £6 they don't seem to be selling well.

Got mine today too. My little girl is going to be over the moon for her birthday on the weekend. She was initially going to get an IOU (excited)
Mine was due on 20/7 but now appeared as dispatched and will be delivered today.
I got a couple of the vidayo cheap from Smyths got warewolf and ice cream type guy both hdvd other uses ..the printed tiles also great for food vendor area on one of them.So for £2 each happy days.
I'm not a fan of the Lego Friends figures but in all honesty it works with both and my girls love this set. They had Wonder woman enjoying the swing the other week and Batman scaling the building XD This is a cracking price (y)
I picked it up for £24 recently from Amazon, but as it's for the kid she's happy with it. It's a bit sucky for the price.
Want this just for the figures, but its easier and cheaper to buy the set than the figures alone. My biting point is £20 no more as the set truly imo sucks but the figures are the key selling point, just the Mickey Fire Station which has boring builds but the most exciting minifigures, Goofy and Pluto.
