Been waiting for Like over a month now for few items I purchased

Ali Express is just like eBay. So you don't buy from Ali express, but lots of various sellers. In this case, the seller is SuperGLX store. Like eBay they are scored individually

I've bought numerous items from the sister platform Alibaba, they are massive in China, and growing globally. Only bought lower cost items, £30 ish, never anything if this value. But any problems were sorted quickly.

I never used this website ; can anyone kindly please tell me meow about this site ? Is this site trustworthy or has anyone had good or bad experience

I think I'd prefer the standard 8 then the pro seems more ergonomic and sleeker

Can Any1 recommend a good and relatively cheap headphone dongle for this?

Are you Sam of London reincarnated? People can spend what they want, it's relative to your means :D

I see this thread has turned into "how much should people spend on a phone" debate. I agree with Switchy that it's each to their own! Although I also constantly have this debate with myself... :) I tend to swap between Notes and Mates, had a Note 10+ for last 3 months and a Mate 20 before it. Sold the Note for £585 on eBay last week, bought another Mate 20 brand new off eBay for £250 and I'm just as happy! Oneplus have spoiled themselves with the pricing in my opinion. Loved the Oneplus 3, especially when it was only £309 on release! Since then, I've not seen the need to go back... Huawei/Samsung cameras have always been better, and even though the software wasn't as "clean" it was something I was happy to live with! BTW Android 10 on the Mate 20, coupled with the big WIDE screen and Kirin 980 makes this phone an absolute bargain at the minute! Just saying... ;)

If you look at screen on time most people will look at their phones roughly 3 hours a day. I personally keep my phone for around 3 years, so spending £200 per year for something you will spend an eighth of the year engaging with makes perfect sense to me.

Can you explain in a bit further detail?

Why should I have a problem? I'm simply offering fact to your opinion, is that not what the comments are for? You came back with an inflammatory comment and now some facts are on the table you don't like it. So it would seem you have a problem because you called the OP8 a downgrade and when you look at the facts it is not. Didn't you address someone concerning the cameras without any proof of their performance, Yet i can not address you? You just quoted the numbers from the spec sheets. (lol) 2020 hardware v 2019 hardware I wonder with is actually better in real life. Me attack others What do you call this and now you want to cry WOLF, dude come on. (:I Now here you are doing the usual thing personal attacks because I laid the facts on the table and the joke is you original statement that the OP8 is a downgrade when the 865 crushed the 855+ in a performance test and you said "no noticeable difference" over 20 seconds bud that is noticeable. (:I Isn't that what OP is about? Lead with speed is the tagline, no? I'm still waiting for you prove the OP8 is a downgrade, whenever your ready. (lol) (lol) (lol) (lol) This is not noticeable to you.

Oh its you again (lol) (lol) (lol) (lol) (lol)

"your device is vastly inferior" "T owners always crying " "your screen is still inferior" "£22 less on a inferior device" Honestly what is your problem? Why do you feel the need to constantly attack others. What point are you actually trying to prove. Also I really don't understand how you can't see my point in the plug. Not everyone will want to use an adapter. Again just trying to help inform people. It's not like most phones where you can pick up a cheap charger off eBay and get full speed charging. Maybe it would help to speak in your terminology? HAHA can't believe you got the screen spec Wrong!!!!(:I (:I (:I (:I your knowledge is vastly inferior on Android phones. When are YOU going to stop crying (:I (:I NEXT

@jsw72 I got the Realme X2Pro phone from Amazon Spain last week. You'll love the fact it's the fastest charging phone you can buy, 0 to 100% in half and hour. I don't let mine go below 20% because it keeps the battery life more sustained. Well happy, and the processor is the fastest 855+ 4g one. I opted for 4g because paying extra for the 865 where I can't take advantage of 5g (because of network won't be around for a year or two plus contacts would be higher sim only) All that for under £400 (for the 12gb ram 256gb storage one) with the free Revolut virtual card exchange to Euros to buy from Spanish Amazon. Hope that helps. P.S. and it's 90Hz screen too.

The 990 Kirin Chip will only support sub 6ghz or N78, again not really "5G". I would recommend hold on to what you have and wait for Qualcomm X60 modem 875 or 880 : What ever the new Chip will be called. Possibility is 995 could introduce the mmWave + Sub 6Ghz working simultaneously. I would personally wait for Qualcomm, however Huawei is a Monster with 5G tech. What ever comes you're after mmWave and Sub 6Ghz which work simultaneously , this is TRUE 5G. Only phone out now that does this is the Galaxy S20 Ultra with a crappy exynos processor. Hold fire and then splash out. I'm rocking a mate 20 Pro..... I can wait :)

What about Huawai 5g?

You can load Google apps in them.

It depends on if you want/need the best specs for the money. The Pro has the best display on the market, just like the 7 Pro did last year. It's noticeably better than the regular 7T/8, not just in terms of resolution but uniformity. The 7T and 8 may use 90hz displays, but they're still the same poor quality OLED panels that were used on the 7. Anything with a white or grey background (which basically covers the light and dark mode of everything) will have noticeable shifts in colour from either top to bottom or side to side. Some people can live with these faults but they should be inexcusable for any OLED device in 2020. Personally I'd get a 7 Pro on eBay if you really want a OnePlus device. It has better battery life than either of the 8s, and no nasty hole in the screen for the front camera. Unless you really want to join the group of 5 other people in the world who actually use 5G, a 7 Pro would tide you over until they finally get rid of all these crappy notches and holes. Would be way cheaper than a standard 8 too (like new blue 256GB Pros go for just over £400).

I don't think it's an issue that develops over time, the device either has it or it doesn't. If yours is good then happy days.

If the phone is cheaper it because they skimped somewhere and this year many will be doing it. A company called Micron now produces Ram and UFS storage, so many of these cheaper Phones will be using these components or using the remainder of last year's parts. The OP8 for example is using DDR4 and UFS 3.0 when UFS 3.1 and DDR5 was available and OPPO with nearly all their devices using last year's camera hardware. It's going to be interesting to see how OP go this year with these price increases, but with OPPO and VIVO now in the same markets price parity was always on the cards.

I thought I said what was the advantage of OOS (confused) I haven't held the the X2 pro or a OP8 but the materials used are exactly the same, aluminium and GG5 front and back. But I would imagine that the OP should have a better fit and finish given the difference in price, though I did see a video where the reviewer pointed out a few design dislikes in comparison to the Mi10. Haptic feedback seems to be the buzz thing over the last year, I don't use it and has no effect on how I use the device. It is certainly not something I consider when buying a Phone, so for me it's no big deal and it's just reviewers earning their sponsorship by pushing it. When more games support it that's when it may become a consideration, but as for now I will save the battery it uses. (y)

I had in mind other brands who makes phones with bigger specs and sells them cheaper and obviously still makes profit. £800-900 is miles out from cheap for me.

Have u hold it in Ur hand ? I got a Chinese version from eBay and the materials are not as good as OnePlus and the haptic was terrible as I remember. Pictures were ok

With OP's perennial screen issues i will not be parting with my money at this point, the issue has been confirmed as hardware once again so id be looking in a couple of months time.

Can't see the attraction of a Chinese OS version without a warranty for anything less than a £100 difference, plus the 7T seems a generally better deal anyway.

Pay the extra £50 and get from Amazon... this is chilly

Disappointed that both the OP8 and plus have a curved screen this time round. Curved screen is really the worst gimmick to afflict smartphones in recent years. Can't wait until it blows over and we can get back to decent displays without edge glare and distortion on high end Android phones.

I'd give oneplus a go (probably the pro for the screen etc.) but silly as it seems I can't get the right case for it. I've got quadlock mounts on everything and they only make for Samsung Huawei and Google phones.

I stand corrected, thanks (y)

The 8 pro uses a different sensor. OnePlus 8 Pro Main rear camera: Sony IMX689 sensor, 48 megapixel, OIS, EIS, f/1.78, 1.12 µm pixel size. Ultra wide angle camera: 48 megapixels, f/2.2, 119.7 degree field of view. Telephoto camera: 48 megapixels, OIS, f/2.44, 1.0 µm pixel size. Color filter camera: 5 megapixels, f/2.4 OnePlus 8 Main rear camera: Sony IMX586 sensor, 48 megapixel, OIS, EIS, /1.75, 0.8 µm pixel size. Ultra wide angle camera: 16 megapixels, f/2.2, 116 degree field of view. Macro camera: 2 megapixels, f/2,4, 1.75 µm pixel size.

The lens and sensor is the same between the 8 and 8 Pro, only the ultrawide and a weird, useless colour lens is different on the Pro This means the 8 should still have a very good camera which is great for a £599 5G phone
