Worth noting that both this and the (better IMO) 2018 model run Stadia really well.

I have the same problem. It's really annoying.... Speakers are total garbage. I thought I'd be able to put up with it but the delay in things loading the most basic app or performing a basic task really grindsy gears.

Replaced my 2014 Tab S with one of these, then rooted & installed Bliss 12.7 custom ROM (Android 10): Need to follow the guide carefully, but well worth the effort.

i just bought the amazon fire 8hdplus it as 3gb ram, quad core processor, micro up to 1 tb and cost £84 from argos also as wi fi , bluetooth. hope this helps.

It will work just fine.

Good spot, though I'm glad I only spent £99 on my Huawei tablet, does everything thing I need and the OS isn't too bad

Back to £161 again

Gone back up to £198

Yeah all I need it for is watching YouTube and Netflix (y) don't care for mobile gaming or office work, got game consoles and laptops to do stuff like that.

Are you sure the storage 16GB is enough for you?

Samsung S5e would be a better buy for 1080p edieting

Cheers for that need for 1080p. So guess has tab s6 (y)

if you are in the market for a "cheap" tablet, i recommend amazon fire 10hd or 8hdplus - both really good, if you can suffer the FireOS. They are reasonably nippy and very hard to find competition, especially if you get a "deal". The samsung tab A/E's are purely embarrassing and 2x overpriced. As others mention, the 2GB RAM is pretty criminal and gouging. The high end samsungs are also over priced. Used to be a sammy fan (tab S), but watching the prices of each and every release: nah ! Alas, there is little competition - Huawei seems good, but lots of devices with confusing timelines and figuring out the "latest" requires deep concentration. Whilst I havent tried the lenovo's, they may be good also. Ultimately, ipad is best, but at a cost.

I have had both. If you’re in the ecosystem already eg. iPhone def look at getting a secondhand iPad/ mini. Android devices have slowed down faster than my iPads have, in my experience. (I do install a lot of apps and like customising on Android) Though, depending on what you need it for, this Galaxy tablet could be a great budget option. For me being in the ecosystem and apple finally sorting out mouse support for iPads and widgets on the homescreen swayed this decision for me recently. YMMV

2GB RAM in 2020, bleh.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 2019 10.1 Inch 32GB Tablet - Black £30 off

@tomy83 Hey, nice work on your first post! Some extra info was added just so members can see more about the product - hope that helps :)

Volume is rubbish and 5 out of 6 of my Bluetooth speakers don't work on the TAB A.. Big mistake buying this

Understandable comment but I had the 3gb version of this with a 10.5 inch screen. Can't say I have experienced much difference in performance but hasten to add I don't use it to play games.

Keyboard lag sometimes. Takes a while for keyboard on screen. Great tab apart from that

Very good tablet for £125 which is what I paid. My missus uses it now and again but prefers her phone. Seems to have increased quite a bit in price over the last 6months or so. I use Tab s4 which is on a different level. Can't vote hot or cold at this price.

On a tablet I've never had to if I'm honest. If I needed more storage or relied on it while I was on a boat I'd be considering something a bit more speccy than this!

I bought one earlier this year volume is rubbish and it does not work with 5 out 6 wireless speakers I have and they were the good quality ones

??? My 8.0 has micro usb. Are they different?

Bear in mind a 2020 version is being released with a better processor/chipset and 3Gb. I bagged the 8.0 LTE for £71.50 the legend. Mr.Switch posted. Now I've had some experience with it while it's a great deal I wouldn't have paid much more knowing what I know now. It's distinctly underwhelming - often sluggish with an annoyingly glitchy screen (a common complaint elsewhere so I don't think it's my particular unit). I can't see the 10.1 being any better. I have a bunch of Old Nexus 7's 2nd gens I cannibalised from various faulty ones I bought cheap on eBay, Gumtree and Shpock over a while. When they're newly reset or running a custom ROM they're not all that much worse and in some ways better - allowing for the 7 year age difference - and far better VFM.

Its a good tablet for every day use. I was lucky and managed to pick it up new when it was posted a month or so ago for £135ish

I don't have the 2gb one but I have had a play in the store...that's probably not a good comparison but I have a Tab S3 and that has 4gb of ram and performance is pretty similar.

Extra 1gb ram? Did you previously have the Tab 10A 2gb one with 32gb memory to compare? Much difference?

received mine yesterday and impressed with with so far....definitely worth getting the extra gb

£196.13 with my Revolt card, thanks OP! I'd just paid £182.xx for the 2GB/32GB variant from Amazon UK... this was a no brainer! Can I ask about chargers? As in I'll need to order her an English 3-pin, is it a fast charger supplied or anything else special? Heated!

Cheapest price for 2019 Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1", WiFi. Free delivery using "FREEDEL". Possible price match with John Lewis and Currys.

According to benchmarks the 2019 2gb Samsung Tab A performs better than the 3gb T5 in almost every way though. It also performs better than the old Samsung Tab A with 3gb of ram. Sometimes it's not the size it's what you do with it.

MDL199 Good in depth review for anyone interested in this tablet

I have this tablet and am delighted with it. Great screen and absolutely fine as a media consumption device. For the price it's a great tablet. Surprised that some have commented they've had a bad experience with their's.

I went onto their price match form online and filled the details including the FREEDEL in additional info section.
