I'd imagine the old Minolta 35mm f2 would produce better images, and be around the same price.

There's a browser add in called Keepa that can track Amazon prices and show prices in other regions.

Op Im curious how do you come across deals on amazon.de do you search there as well or have something set up like alerts ?

AFAIK this lens is not available in FE mount, but yes, good for A mount users or those who also plan to buy the LE-EA5 + compatible camera.

Looks like a good price but be aware it is for the old Sony A mount not the currently used E Mount so just make sure it fits your camera

In the market for a wide angle lens for my EOS R. Cheapest price I could find, only grey market sites have it cheaper. very good quality, comparable with Canon lens but at half th… Read more

I owned the first version of this lens. I tried the new one and couldn’t see any difference at all. One thing I’d say is it does have pretty bad barrel distortion and the stabilisation can have a bit of a weird effect in video mode compared to canon at the wide end but other than that it’s a nice lens. You can usually pick up version 1 for about £500 so I don’t know if it’s worth the extra

Have a parrot anafi, no propellers to fly of this lens when you least expect it (lol)

You might as well buy a Mavic air 2 at this price. Just my 2 cents :|

Well I've clarified it for you anyway, the point was in relation to the price not stock level...The sigma is such a sort after piece of glass it's always in and out of stock. Most people are willing to wait a while if it's what they want

I'm out today with my 24-105mm canon using mc-11. Focusing seems ok, not super, I but seems a little soft on a 61MP sensor. Trying to test out 24mm Vs 28mm and the bokeh. There are certainly benefits to 24mm as well as f2.8 ,so still deciding. Took out my canon 50mm f1.8 and f1.4 too.

I've heard great things about the tamron so I'm sure the mount fit if fine. The sigma costs £400 more (40% more) , more glass for 24mm, more metal for durability so adds about 50% weight. Interesting some say the sigma isn't as sharp as tamron, but others say it's better, so must be some variation in manufacturing. My canon 100mm macro on the adaptor is pants at focusing but it's fantastic ok my canon 6D. That's why I'm thinking more native glass is best.

I am using this on an a7rii and don't see any issues. I also have the metabones adapter and some canon lenses, but auto focus is an issue and its kind of hot and miss even in bright light. Especially with Telephoto lenses. It is completely unusable in low light. I started selling my canon lenses and investing on native sony mint lenses. Sigma is too heavy to carry around, so I opted for tamron. One thing I have to say is that the mount is very very tight. I hope it doesn't damage the camera.

Price has gone up, even with fee free card your looking around £600 at the moment. Still debating on this with a separate wide angle, or the sigma 24-70 on my A7R4 . 24 is nice but when I go wide I tend to want even wider. Sigma is £400 more, almost enough to buy the tamron wide angle . Already have a 25-105mm canon EF I can use on adapter although I've not tried it yet. They say focusing in low light isn't great which is odd as this is a f2.8 lens so thought it would be great. Reviews of this lens are great but hit and miss with the A7R4 due to the extra resolution. Maybe I should have brought the A9 instead. Choices... https://sonyalpha.blog/2019/11/10/which-lenses-to-maximise-the-potential-of-the-sony-a7riv/

Looks like the pound dropped a lot or euro became stronger. I got charged £581. Yesterday the conversion was £576 when I was placing the order. Still a good deal.

If it’s what I think it is, I bought one with my very first Canon DSLR kit years ago and it was £109 then. So likelihood is not worth much anymore.

Yea im sure the code only run until the 11th shame as id purchased it if i hadnt missed the code... I might just go buy one from E-Infinity instead

I think the model here is a new design - quite recent - for the Sony FE system. Reviews are excellent.

Will be getting an a7r ii on Monday. Looks like the sale has ended on this lens now. :(. I currently have a tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 for my canon body. That has been my primary lens for 10 years.

It’s just a very petty way of looking at it.
