Good value cat clumping litter suggestion

Posted 7th Aug 2023
Hi anyone has a suggestion for good cat clumping litter, I bought one from petathome but it wasn't good. My cats use up a lot, so I am looking for something that is not too expensive.

Op, I found sainsburys own brand wood pellets one really good (green bag) it really keeps the odours in, and is easy to scoop out and turns to sawdust. Good one to try cos also- if you've got wood flooring, it's won't scratch (unlike the small stones/ litter variety)

That's what my cat uses,I found it so much cleaner than other types that would get trodden all over the surrounding ceramic tiles

Op I use this one for my 2, works out to 81p/ltr, may not be the cheapest option but does the job well sainsburys.co.uk/gol…-8l

The World's Best Cat Litter, not cheap but you use far less than cheaper brands because it does the job so well.

I used to used the clumping cat litter from Lidl, it's £2.19 a bag now and I'd uses 2-3 bags a month in a reallybig deep tray which took two full bags to fill.

I'd clean the tray daily using nappy sacks and a scoop to lift the clumps out and top it up as and when required ( my cat used to love the deep tray as she liked like many cats do to dig in it before doing her business and cover it up).

Having the big deep tray, made it easier for her to dig and for the clumps to form after she had done her business.

I should also add this was clay clumping litter which some folks don't like. I had no problems with it at all.

Sadly I no longer have her RIP Ninja 14.04.22 (edited)
