When will I likely get my parcel from DPD?

Just had an email from them to say:
We've received your order details, and we're expecting your parcel shortly

But no date or time of delivery

Hang on, hang on - everyone knows Santa doesn't deliver until 24th December although this year I have been given to understand that as that date falls on a Sunday the Unions are demanding he delivers on the Saturday instead like all other delivery people.

When they receive your parcel from the retailer, it'll then give you a date. Check again tomorrow.

it means they have received the purchase order from the retailer and when they get the parcel and is ready to deliver it, they will let you know a delivery date. often the parcel will get to them the next day and they will then deliver it the day after.

however, it could be 3 to 4 days before they actually deliver, depending on how long the parcel gets to them from the retailer and whether the retailer paid for next day delivery or not.

I had a similar email from Evri 2 days ago and my parcel arrived on my doorstep in full view of passer-bys this afternoon. At least DPD are more professional so should be a similar time scale.

Seriously though in my experience it takes a few days atleast when I've bought something from Currys.

I’ve sent an email to the DPD CEO, his personal team are on the case rest assured.
