They won't ship anything with paint to NI as their contracted courier (Royal mail) doesn't like it. Most other sellers don't have the same problem.
It's an amazon wide problem. Message them and you'll get £5 credit.
"This item cannot be shipped to your selected delivery location. Please choose a different delivery location ... Usually dispatched within 1 to 2 months." Apparently Airfix don't want Northern Irish business...
Thanks anyway though spoo, well spotted.
I had it a couple of times this morning, then I changed to the app or to the website and in both cases it worked. This time it hasn't.
It's odd seeing deals for airfix as I remember them going bust in the early 80s as a kid. Picked up many cool kits back then, spent hours making them, painting them and losing/breaking them whilst moving house. Those were the days :D
Air recognition Signs In North West Europe for the Overlord landings of June 1944 a white five-pointed star was worn on all Allied vehicles. On trucks and the like, it was painted on the cab doors and on the bonnet or roof, the upward-facing mark being contained within a white circle. Tanks were similarly marked. The stars remained in use officially until the end of the war, though in practice they were often painted out, particularly on vehicle sides, as they offered too good a sighting mark for German gunners."
I’ll never do an airfix again after my first .. and last ( last week I did it) all I want to do is throw it on the road in front of my car and drive over it (fierce)
Thanks OP, £4 on a kit and £13 on paint. These impulsive buys are bleeding me dry.
The tooling for this kit was made in 1964, which suggests it can't be too bad if it's still being used 57 years later. Even so, I can't help but think it would be better to save up a few more quid and buy something made in the last 10-20 years if you want a more enjoyable experience. You can tell it's pretty old simply because it's 1:76 scale (same as OO gauge railway stuff). Hardly any model kits are that scale nowadays. I still remember that horribly deceptive period when Airfix and a few others tried to increase their appeal by releasing some of their old kits in new packaging that falsely claimed it was 1:72 scale when it was actually the same old 1:76 kit still!
Vintage Range, eh? I think this was a new release when I first put it together. Late 70s there were some very hit and miss production runs when it came to Airfix, but mainly the soldier figures (eg British 8th Army were very crisp in detail, US Marine Corps were cheese blobs), so I hope they dumped some of the old tooling.
As far as I recall they didn't come with paint or glue. At least mine didn't but there were transfers. Seem to remember a little yellow tube of glue and paints bought separately. The Lancaster Bomber was a thing of beauty when painted up. I think we eventually blew it up with a 3d banger... (fierce)

I have this kit. Made it with my son a few months ago. It's pretty poor quality to be honest. The holes are crudely cut so the joining pieces won't fit together and the paint they provide you is completely phobic of the plastic surfaces on the parts.
I made my first aircraft kit when I was 6. I took it into hospital to visit my mouther and give it to her as a present after she had given birth to my little brother. Many years later she told me that I'd used so much glue that the nurses had to put it in a corridor because of the smell. Next time she saw it it had melted into the shape of a banana! I'm amazed model kits have survived the console era. Good find OP
Some descent kits at Lidl. Thanks for posting

1:76 scale vehicles, but 1:72 scale figures. What's that all about, Airfix?
Glue, simply everywhere. Ah good memories. :)
Thanxs, about 40 years since i last did one (highfive)
Only on starter sets these days. I've just completed my first in 30 years. A hurricane starter set. Cant remember from when I was a kid in the 80s if it was the same with starter sets. The acrylic paints are like £1.79, enamel a little more. Best looking at humbrol site, airfix, hobbycraft or ideally your local model/hobby store. .
Prefer the German tanks myself Sturms, Jagds and Tigers! Takes me back to the 80's and Dioramas and military modelling magazine and all those excellent model fairs that used to pop up at your local community hall and exhibition centre - Days of the Clyde Model Dockyard in Glasgow established in 1789 would you believe and bankrupted by Playstations and Xboxes ..sad....sniff sniff... ;( ;( ;(
you mean Tanks
Nothing stopping you hanging a tank if space is that short.
Just a little advice - planes are bit "better" to storage as you can hang them somewhere.
