I was brought up on my mother's version which dated from WW2 and included an additional page of rules to shorten the game when there was a likelihood of an interruption from an air raid (think it was something like at start of game deal out 2 properties per player which they could buy immediately or auction to other players) ... also all the counters were cardboard in wooden bases ... no frivolous use of metal at that time when there were spitfires to build - and the battleship, which I always choose, looks like a proper battleship!
I really like the fast play version with the red dice and extra money at the start.
Bought! Thanks OP!
Sweet! Guys how long into the game before you start saying stuff like 'if you sell me that, i'll give you this plus you only pay half of whatever if you land on that set'....
Monopoly "classic"? ... with a dinosaur and a penguin and no iron - I think not!
