If the world of smartphones had a heavyweight champion or the top of the class, the iPhone X would be a prime candidate. With a huge screen, advanced video capabilities, a powerful CPU, and an elegant, lightweight design, this is one serious smartphone. It also comes with a serious price tag, but phone buyers can find the latest devices for less by checking out the iPhone X listings at HotUKDeals.

Haha, I think my number of connected WiFi devices may be a bit extreme too, I might count them and report back for fun :D Yeah, it's an Osmo but the first generation one, I paid around £250 for it a few weeks before the 2nd gen was announced, so not my most savvy purchase unfortunately. I'd never had a drone, but took advantage of an offer here just recently, the Muvi Q1 at just £94.50. Was very impressed for the money so bought a second one for spares too. I know it's not the best available but I don't think I'll use one very much so couldn't justify going too crazy on this occasion.

Biggunspaul

Yeah I’m the same with any tech, love it and always got to buy the latest and greatest, preferably on launch day Put it this way, i rang Sky the other day about my internet and the woman said let’s have a look at how much data you are using and how many devices you have connected, you could almost hear her chin hit the floor when she seen what the figures were lol Oooh is that a gimbal i see in the shadows ? I’ve got the osmo mobile 2 myself, and it was rude not to get a Mavic Air to go with it lol

ezzer72

I’d probably give it a couple of months before boasting about a new Samsung Note having a massive battery if I was you... My P20 Pro has a 4000mah too, battery life is epic.

stevenprior1

Yes apple update your phone 2 or 3 years down the line to make your 2 or 3 year old phone slow, so you have to go and buy a new one lol.

stevenprior1

Of cause it will have a better resale value. They cost a hell of a lot more than other phones.

Get dissent branded device and you will be fine. Many people buying cheap Chinese models and start complain about.

junk15

Of course is not about how many devices, Look at this article - the only person who fight for ios was you, rest of forumers staid calm. Generally you do support ios and see yours benefits in it - i don't. Reason why i answered in short because i can see your full enthusiastic in ios... I let you satisfy with it but it didn't worked for me. ... And be honest, we at work place cisco engineers, mostly do not support ios. Nothing against unix, only against iOS restricted functions.

daedalia

Six months to a year later and by then your manufacturer and carrier have stuck their dirty fingers in it.

david_robinson94

It's not about who has the most phones. Your comment was "who likes ios???", the answer is over 1.3 Billion. An interesting asside, however, note how Android has an install base of just over 2 Billion active users, which is indeed far greater than 1.3 Billion and means that Android is live on about 35% more devices overall. However, that does give an interesting dynamic. Android outsell iOS devices approximately 86 devices to every 15 (worldwide), but despite this they only have a 35% swing in active users. That's one hell of a lot more Android devices chucked in the bin every year than Apple devices and highlights the value of the Apple proposition. You do indeed spend more buying an Apple iPhone, and some of that pricing is indeed high level profits for Apple. But on the flip side you iDevice will, statistically, last far longer and end up saving you money over time. It's the same with their line of computers, they cost more upfront, but add in the years of software support and resale value and you will usually end up saving over time.

junk15

Ios - just reached 1.3b devices, android - year and half ago over 2b.

Those down voting can't find a better price, although people like plewis00 will pretend that they can to try and justify their response. Besides, to them that is not the point anyway as they typically fall into one of three camps: 1. They have an irrational hatred of Apple products and would down vote this phone, even it was being given away for free. 2. How much?!?! People who knee jerk at a number and refuse to consider that others may find value in a product that that they consider to be outrageously priced. This mentality applies to everything from computers to Ice Cream and anything in the premium space is marked down on principal. 3. Finally you get the "you can buy a basic smart phone for around £80!" camp, these people tend to be even more extreme than those in category two and will vote down anything that is not around the cheapest price they have ever seen, specificaitons and functionality be damned!

Can anyone help and tell me if this supports Huawei supercharging? This is what little I know of teh technical details for it: Huawei P10 and P10 Plus battery optimisation: SuperChargeIt's not called SuperCharge for nothing. This low voltage (4.5V), high current (5A) fast-charging system will deliver a huge kick of battery life that will last for a casual day's worth of use after just 20 minutes at the plug.

refaey

I have both, which I use with a Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 phone. QC3 is slightly better if your phone supports it. iSmart is amazing with all phones though. You need a high quality cable either way. I use the phone for SatNav a lot, with the screen on high brightness. Both QC3 and iSmart will charge the battery + 5 to 10% every 10 minutes or so.

You're forgetting that Huawei make a 512GB P20 Pro with an under-screen fingerprint scanner for something like £1500. They're completely different phones running completely different operating systems. A lot of people have invested a lot of money in apps and content on Apple's ecosystem and enjoy using Facetime and iMessage. Whilst you don't, it's an oversimplification to suggest that it's as binary as 'this is cheaper and has X features so it's better value for money'. Value for money is more than just a series of ticks on a specs sheet for many - it's about the day to day use of a device, the apps you use or need and how much value and enjoyment you get out of your apps and how much you enjoy using that device - as well as its eventual resale value. I can tell you as the owner of a P20 Pro that I'm not enjoying anywhere near as much as I did the iPhone X. Would I pay £300 or more to swap? Absolutely, if I could afford to. And that's a completely objective opinion I've reached based on my own wants and needs and my own user experience from paying for the phones out of my own money - unlike reviewers. Not only that but the P20 Pro at £650 won't be worth bobbins by this point next year.

misterleoni

DXO doesn't mean anything. It's a load of old tripe. At one point they said the Sony Z2 was the best camera phone in the world. Their metrics are all over the place. That's not to say that a good DXOmark and a good camera are mutually exclusive - they're not - but in the case of the P20 Pro I'm finding it to be a huge disappointment as a camera.

adamderak

True I stand corrected but at 128gb built in that will suffice. It's double of the £1000 64gb apple X. You have to pay a whopping £150 more to get the 256gb version

adamderak

Tbh I wouldn't even get the p20 pro. I have the mate 10. Got it for £375. Which costs nearly a third of the apple X. The p20 pro is marginally superior to the mate 10

Does anybody know of this genuinely is a fast charger? I know Samsung phones will have a "fast wireless charging" notification. Samsung s9 from e-global goes hot, SHOCK!!!

SamJHW

I bought an iPhone 6 from them in 2015, good price however slow shipping as from China (don’t let the UK in the name fool you). It was the Chinese model so just came with a Chinese plug & uk adapter (not a big deal if you have another wall to usb plug). Something to note is (I think due to anti-voyeur laws in that part of the world) there was no way to mute the camera shutter sound when taking a photo. Again not usually a big issue as I don’t take many discreet photos, but it did start to grate on me after a while, especially as they introduced the burst photo mode which sounded like a machine gun going off. Customer services weren’t much help but did offer to refund if I sent back to china, which would cost in the region of £110. So order at your own risk.

M0nk3h

Warranty should be honoured regardless of country. I bought a US iPhone 5S and they happily serviced it in store.

As Graham as said also, the battery has always been the issue with the S6. The S7 was the phone the S6 should have been, just like the S9 is the phone the S8 should have been. If you've returned the S6, you've had a lucky escape.
