Perhaps, but by Apple or an Authorised Apple Service Provider (How do I know? Read below) so I'm absolutely fine with that. Lmao. Do you want some chips with your salt, buddy? On the OG thread I bought this off someone else commented that they had notifications popping up on their home screen and a message in the battery section of their settings that states "Unable to verify this iPhone has a genuine Apple battery. Health information not available for this battery." They aren't even able to check battery health due to their battery being a knock off. You can read up about this message here on Apple's website: About genuine iPhone batteries Regarding the "80% capacity or above" description. I ordered four (yes, four) iPhones from the same listing in 'good condition' i.e. grade C. Partly to get one with less damage, higher battery health and whatnot. Mainly to get a device on 14.0-14.3 to jailbreak. Of course I'll be returning three. What I can tell you is that whilst battery health varies massively, I received in descending order: 100%; 87%; 85%; 81% And as aforementioned, a different HUKD user received a handset whereby they couldn't even check the health, due to the phone having an unauthorised replacement. This would be the worst case scenario, especially given the notifications that Apple have now introduced that pretty much wont leave you alone. I'm happy that you snagged a bargain, honestly. At the end of the day, I wasn't trying to sound condescending/brag although I can understand it may look like that. I'm just trying to share what users COULD get through ordering. It would be really helpful for prospective buyers if every HUKDer who purchased one of these stated the condition/battery health of what they received. My personal advice would be buy two devices at once (if you're able to) and keep the best one. If you can't do that, my experience with returning handsets has been good too. If you start the return in the morning, you'll usually get a return label by the early afternoon. If you post that same day you can expect a refund to be started within 3 days, after which it's just waiting for the processing time. I don't know about all of you, but I've always been the person to buy iPhones when they've devalued 65-80% from RRP, and I'll continue to be that person, so I hope we'll see each other on an iPhone 12 Pro thread in a few years, hopefully with some useful intel too! Take care everyone (y)
Probs with a chinese popper ready to blow as well
Congratulations, your battery was replaced
80% is shagged! When you're below around 85% it's really noticeably worse over new. Better off getting an XR for similar money or XS for slightly more - also I don't rate XS-items that much, go check others on HUKD, these guys are 'ok' but gradings are vague and customer service is pretty rude and slow if you have issues.
Depends really. X is more premium with the stainless steel build and OLED but SE will have the benefit of a better main camera (albeit without the zoom lens), a much faster SoC and less degraded battery. X is still a nice handset though.
