Totally agree, would be a great destination to visit.. In 2022 (y)

DaveGrainger

Couldn’t agree with you more! An absolutely amazing city! Loved it when we visited last year!

jase.2

id rather use ryanair than wizz who really are bandits

Sam223

with aperitivo of course. True, Milan is no Rome but there's quality sights to enjoy which can be done in 1-2 days. Then head up to Lake Como for a few nights and you've got a perfect 5-6 night city + chill break. Btw, Wizz Air prices inc no carry on luggage and when added, Easyjet will likely work out cheaper (their prices inc. 1 carry on).

newwwt

I'd highly recommend visiting the nearby Bergamo as well. I enjoyed my time there more than I did Milan itself. And the nearby lakes are a must.

Thought the greeks don't want people from the UK there.

Stood in the same place as that photo on the post the tour guide when we went said a year earlier an American woman stood on the edge of that cliff and fell to her death as part of the cliff collapsed, apparently she was warned to stay away from the edge

Hoo! Where to start? What do you like? Food is amazing, it's a crossroad of Greek, Turkish, and Jewish cuisine! There's museums galore of real history too.

No...I tried to go but COVID said No. I'm hoping I can go in October though fingers crossed. Do you have any recommendations for me while I'm there? :D

Well a good friend if mine flew with Whizzair on Monday to Croatia & was horrified by lack of Covid precautions! No temperature checking, masks not enforced & passengers seated clumped together on a half empty plane & had to argue to space out. At one point a woman complained she felt hot & ill & needed more space - eventually threw up over fellow passenger & cabin staff still not concerned??!!

j__k

Off to Greece via Bulgaria we all go

exel1966

I j I just think things should return to as near normal as possible, but minimising risk where/when you can. The Gov can advise, but ultimately let the people decide for themselves how to do that in practical terms. Everyone sits differently on the risk aversion scale. With or without the advice, there will be those who will protect, those who are sensible, and those who ignore regardless, as that's how society works in all walks of life.

ST3123

I agree there is a lot of disagreement about the science and the finer points of Covid and how it works, but there is no debate on it being a contagious virus that is transmissable between ppl and it follows that the more ppl cram together in small spaces with recycled air, the greater the risk of transmission, I don't see how it's possible to reach any other conclusion TBH (confused)

exel1966

More likely in who's opinion though ? Absolutely NOBODY knows what WILL happen, it's all conjecture and this could, that could, maybe this, maybe that, not even the science is right and for every scientist that states X there will be another to contradict it. You can't stop the world on IF.

And yeah... different hotel lol

Rev_Holy

This hotel is amazing, I’m going back in March, the spa underneath is omfg. The price for this trip is less than I’m paying for a two night stay without flights, amazing find op!

TheHun6

Great price, but bear in mind That the combination of Luton Airport, Wizzair and the Danubius Hungaria City Center does sit well. The hotel is located near to Keleti station not actually located on what is properly defined as the City Centre (District V - The Belvaros). Along with other Hungaria hotels, they are underwhelming and don't have the funding to keep them as up to date as the international hotel brand chains and this is reflected by the TripAdvisor reviews. British Airways are currently doing some competitive deals from Heathrow T3, where you get air bridges at both legs of the journey and a hassle free baggage policy. The pound is currently very strong against the Hungarian Forint right now at over 400HUF to the pound, so now is the best time to book a city break at this fabulous city, even if it's for later this year. There are some fantastic bargains to be found, even during the school Summer holidays. For example, the magnificent 5 Star Corinthia Hotel is £120 per room per night including breakfast via Love Holidays.

sheffield788

Good price but you will probably have to add luggage which is not that cheap. Wizzair has ridiculous hand luggage size. I often travel with them and only with hand luggage, but 5 nights it's a bit too long to rely on what fits in your hand luggage.

Are you being horrible?

Journey planner is available here bydgoszcz.jakdojade.pl/ (or in JakDojade app) for local transport. Intercity planner (to Torun or Solec Kujawski) is available on en.e-podroznik.pl/ (or in e-podroznik app). For taxi services you can use BOLT app (something like uber, but another company). You can take 1st ride free (up to 10PLN) when u use a code N3JE1. If you are smoker I'm have a good news - in Poland ciggarets cost about £3 (you can take to UK up to 800 cigaretts by the law) If u'd like change money do it on Bus Station http://www.kantor.bydgoszcz.pl/ or in 27 Gdansa Street. All other exchange offices (including those at the Bydgoszcz airport) have a bad conversion rate. The best option is the Revolut card, not exchanges.

Wizzair

@jaime-wa the cost of the train from Bydgoszcz to Torun is 8,7 PLN (£1,6) one way. You can buy tickets (buses/trams in Bydgoszcz/Torun and train tikets also) in SkyCash app but it is only in Polish. Entry to Jurassic Park in Solec Kujawski cost 39 PLN (£7,7).

jaime-wa

You can get a return train ticket to/from Torun (leaving/arriving Bydgoszcz) for about £6. Mind you, that was a few years ago. Bydgoszcz (Bid-Gosh-Ch) can be done in a day. There is a nice walk along the river overlooked by a brewery (dirt cheap as everything in Poland is to those working in UK). If it's your thing there is a really cool games bar (had video games and board games). If you're feeling adventurous you can try and join the locals. Polish are a lovely people but the English level isn't high in Bydgoszcz so you may have to stick to more touristy areas if you know zero Polish. Torun is incredible - beautiful centre, interesting town walls (wonky - but you can find out why yourself) and incredible gingerbread. Don't expect Polish cities to be like Roma or Barcelona and you won't be disappointed. I hope this helps someone

Another Iceland deal so hello everyone, it's me again XD Nothing wrong with WizzAir. Used them when I went there back in November. Seriously though: Pay for Wizz Priority. Just do it. You don't really board any quicker than anyone else BUT the hand baggage allowance is much more lenient. You get to carry on a much larger and heavier bag. If you're staying for any longer than 2 days you NEED Wizz Priority.

So you are unaware of the migrancy route that now operates through one of the worlds largest countries & has all sorts of tribal traits beyond pink fleshed guy's called sasha then? My link is old, but routes have transformed https://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/aug/29/syrian-refugees-europe-arctic-circle-russia-norway Many russian types holiday all over europe, the canary isles were some of the first back in the 80's - 90's for instance & many travel to france for ski-ing too, where there are plenty of ethnicities. SO if you want to travel, damn well travel & test your theory & get folk used to change, likely you'll be surprised, & likely the british accent!? ..will carry you a bit, people like to practise their english. I partly agree, I think the issue is a lot of people (myself included) would prefer to pay a bit more and be treated like a human. For international flights this is fine as most people know their airlines of choice and choose them for that very reason over the cheapest possible option but for european the space has become a race to the bottom and unless you pay for club europe with B.A (which sometimes can be very good value but 90% of the time is far more than its worth) you dont have much choice. Speedy boarding with Easyjet for european flights is about as good as it gets which is a bit sad.

deleted1377823

It’s never been better for people who can read what they are buying, don’t feel the need to take loads of stuff with them when going abroad and aren’t upset about not having to sit next to their partner/mate/mother for 2-3 hours.

szferke

I have 8-10 flights a year with Wizzair and the staff is generally not rude, I feel they are better than Ryanair stuff. If you buy Priority you can take 2 cabin bags with you as well, that is my default setting to make sure they will not put my backpack to the hold. Their prices are usually very cheap, I think it is a shame I pay lot more to get to Luton by train than the flight tickets itself.

us_agent2012

Well yeah... You get what you pay for

c58

You've hit the nail on the head there, you get what you pay for . Flight prices over the years have come down so much that its now a norm to fly to america for £100 each way or pretty much anywhere in europe for £10. Do remember that as prices come down so do the inclusions, and people like wizzair and ryanair really are the worst of the worst, but if you choose to fly with them dont complain, you know what you're going to get!
