still a good investment, update ur current gpu, and then when cash is better downline the rest.

I would have bought this to upgrade my very dated r9 270, but not worth it considering I'd need to update pretty much my entire system to use it at its full potential, as my CPU is also dated :( ... i5 4690k

Might give it a go the next time l can prise my lad off the computer. (y)

As far as I know, Hibernation still uses the Windows drive to store previous state, which is an SSD, so without it, the system will store the sleep state in RAM which I prefer. The only negative is that if you lose power you also lose the state but it's fine for me.

All l know is that when l disabled it The Amd wattman stopped resetting. Which ever way you do it. It works if you prefer not using hibernation. (y)

Manufacturer refurbished item in fully working condition, in an opened / potentially damaged box. Complete - all accessories included! ** 12 Months Warranty **

Too power hungry for my liking. Like Boris IMHO...

If you just want to use the card out the box then the 1660 super is better. It's only slightly slower than the Vega at stock and will come with a full guarantee. If you enjoy playing around with graphics cards then the 56 is the perfect choice, but it's hotter and louder and needs a much beefier PSU. Not sure how resale will work with both cards. The 56 seems to be holding up quite well so far, but I think it might cliff-edge pretty soon.

Aha I knew it! That's a knock-off, the real thing is VengEance 😁

I have a vega 56 on a branded 600w psu. Even with power plus 50pc ane undervolting I pull most 400w out of the wall with a 2nd gan i7. I do get random crashes and suspect it is due to driver issues and buggy games eg fortnite had a lot on fullscreen mode so changed to windowed. Great card for the money. If you look at the fps per pound then the curve flattens with the next 100 pounds so not worth it for me yet

This model in particular has a few issues which are likely the reason they were returned. On some there can be interference on the hdmi audio, coil whine, instability at full load etc. You might not have these issues or be able to mitigate them, but at this stage I'd be looking out for a cheap 5700 or waiting for the 5600 XT personally.

I think if I recall correctly it was the xfx 64 that has the small nano PCB also, that's the bios I used and flashed using atiflash. I managed to undervolt it slightly, my card was already hitting about 1630mhz before the flash but what I was able to do was increase the hbm2 by about 200mhz as it allowed me to increase memory voltage. Good luck if you try mate.

Do you mind me asking which firmware you used? I haven't actually gotten around to flash mine yet. Did you also undervolt it, or just flash and leave it?

Can confirm, I luckily got a Samsung hbm2 from ocuk for 299 about 6 months ago and flashed to Vega 64, thing is a beast and runs very cool.

How is this version of the 5700 rated?

The Sapphire card has the highest chance of having Samsung hbm, making it the best overclocker. The cooling solution is also one of the better designs.

Assuming there's still stock left! Good luck!

This was an unreal deal but I'm hoping for a 64 for around this price on black Friday.... here's hoping

Yeah man game optimization by devs is everything. Like have you played through breath of the wild on switch? I know this is old but I had a relative show me it the other day and was showing me the landscapes and stuff. I was like well its just a drawing anyway, a background and he said nope and traveled through to the mountains which I thought was just a drawing. Then he opened up the map and showed me that the whole map of the game was in fact much much bigger. If Nintendo could do that with a tegra X1, imagine what they could do an rx 580, vega and navi. So yah, optimisation and developers are everything.

I've got a 5700 XT so, something considerably more powerful than a Vega 56 and a PS4. Benchmarks etc are thrown around on the net loads, and in theory the XT is wayyy more powerful than my PS4. But in terms of pure visuals, absolutely nothing I've played on PC matches the PS4 AAA titles, namely, Red Dead 2 & God of War (this is about to change, the former being released on PC). I'm actually a little dissapointed power/graphics wise with the PC atm. I think the fact is the budgets that go into console games are just huge, red dead 2 for instance cost an estimated 0.5 billion dollars. The Witcher 3 barely looks any better on PC, unnoticable while playing. So getting a PC for power/performance, seems a little moot to me, and I play the most demanding PC games (Metro Exodus being probably the No.1 there). I'd reccomend a PC for the multiplayer scene, modding, the backlog of titles and VR. But for pure graphical power developers just aren't fully utilising the likes of an XT, or Vega.

You can have a used vega 56 for under 200 which is marginally better without an eBay code. And then get it even cheaper with one. The reason why I compared it to the 1070ti was because people wonder if it is equivalent or matches the 1070 when in actual fact it is beyond it so much so it better than the 1070 ti. For my sources that I have used please check my other comments to see what I mean. And ah sorry for the benchmark. I gave out my overall score when I should have given my graphics score. Yeah the graphics on the vega is around 22k-24k depending on how you did you're undervolt, entering close to 1080 territory. The overall score of 18k which I had achieved was in the realms of the 1080. Even now in some games the Vega 56 properly outdoes the 1080, so hey. But that's benchmarks. The best part about the Hw unboxed video is that games are used to represent the performance differences because after all you purchase a graphics card to play games with and/or do productive things. Not benchmark to see who has a higher number. In games which is what we get the cards, it is clearly visible who's superior. Sure the reference model ran hot and loud, but still gave me better performance than the 1070ti at a fraction of price as I had bought it 202 quid brand new. That argument is no longer valid on this deal which we are commenting here about, as this is a custom aib triple fan and heat sink design resulting in a very quiet operating card even at full load. And this isn't about AMD being better than Nvidia or vice versa. Its about what is the best product we as consumers can get with our hard earned cash and in this case with the Vega 56's price bracket, sorry nothing from Nvidia cuts it.

I'm pretty sure the MSI warranty on this card is 2 years.

Can’t find anywhere on Ebuyer what the guarantee period is, never thought to go the cex route but will in future as it’s at least a year more than most ebay shops.

Not refurbished, just second hand. They do offer a 2 year warranty with it though. I almost pulled the trigger on a rx5700 last night for £277. Then thought is it worth spending that much on a poxy graphics card when I have a full time job and 2 year old taking up my time at the moment! I'll probably hold off now til black friday, at least then I can call it a christmas gift to myself!

I wouldn't; the 980ti is about 4 years old vs the 2 years of these Vega cards. CEX is also refurbished, right?

Yes by about 10-15%, however if that 980ti is a dual fan version I would go with that. If it's a blower card get the Vega.

Just had an email come through with a code, it's advertised on their website so i would of queried it anyway.

I purchased the vega 64 on this deal, no gamepass with it, but I purchased a 3600 Ryzen cpu at the same time and got a code for 3 months gamepass included with it.

I see a lot of these amd graphics cards come with a gamepass or bundled games, would this card be eligible?

I was able to use the code when I bought the item as a guest but I haven't used the code before. Maybe useful for someone else facing the same issue
