I had the same problem with my address apparently if your Post Code is between l and z or something it is recognised, so mine which starts with a C came up with postage, my post code mysteriously gained and extra character 'x CC1 1CC' *not actual postcode), hey presto free shipping, I wondered if just putting a full stop there would do the same thing like this '.CC1 1CC'. Just wondering if the ES2 was the right choice now or if I would have been better with the M365.

I have the same issue with shipping cost. My postcode doesn't begin with an a! I've tried two different addresses with 2 very different postcodes. Comes to about £310 quid vs £290 advertised here.

Cheers. So far she hasn't complained about just holding onto the Cheers. So far she hasn't complained about just holding onto the shaft but I could probably print something similar

That's absolutely ridiculous.

It goes at 16mph on fault hit a hill and it starts to slow 10% gradient will really slow it. I use up hills often if they are long gentle climbs it's 12 mph once it's step enough drops till 9mph I will kick to help it. Which looks odd as then people don't realise it's powered and if your still passing push bikes and pedestrians up hill gets you confused looks. Tried it on biggest hills around here only last bit of one couldn't make it. Gave up as reached pub at crest. Mind you from there there's a view of Central London canary etc and that's 10 miles away. Its alright on hills I only weigh 66kg though. I did try going around hills the detour means it's no time saved. Live in Essex. If in Yorkshire still think would still get.

Yes - it's registered with the DVLA, thus it's road legal. Wouldn't be road legal otherwise! Probably weighs a bit more than 25kg - the battery alone weighs a reasonable bit, as you'd expect being a lot higher capacity.

Not sure I'd classify that's as "Light". Don't they weigh something like 25kg and need to be registered with the DVLA with valid certificates?

I'd avoid using them on Friday and Saturday nights. A&E can get very busy with other people falling over, but they're usually pi-drunk-ssed :D

How could they sell 100 pounds cheaper from Segway??? It just case out yesterday! Will there be custom charges?

The differences I've noticed between this and the m365 is this has hard tyres instead of air filled, batteries in stem instead of in base, left thumb control to decelerate and press foot on back mudguard to brake vs bicycle style hand brake. I've seen a new model of Ninebot used by Lime in USA which seems to combine the benefits of both into one so might hold off on that.

I tried to order that from Lightinthebox from Poland allegedly. Waited 5 days after paying nothing. Pinged customer services who said they were out of stock for at least a month, and if i waited they would give me a 5% reward!! Requested refund, still waiting for money back grr. I dont trust these people or their uktrustpilot reviews!

Lightinthebox has the Xiaomi M365 European edition for similar money about £310 stock due in Poland 15th or 20th. Which is better option used gearbest lots but was holding out for the m365. Never used Lightinthebox.

Ebay is your friend, I've seen BBS02 kits and 500Wh batteries for 600 pounds total which isn't cheap but is justifiable when you think of the money you're saving on the commute (e.g I save 6 pounds a day not taking the train, 100 days for an ebike kit to pay off)

Be careful about importing any electric 1/2/3 wheel vehicle from China right now. Look into the anti-dumping tax on 'e-bikes'. It's designed to pretty much kill cheap eBike imports from China Nice slimey EU move gimping poorer peoples chance of a cheap commute and adding more pollution to our lungs. Wonder what sort of bribe the EU ebike manufacturers lobby had to slide into the pockets of unelected EU bureaucrats for get that market boxed off? It stinks of corruption, imo... but I digress. The tax is something like 83%, I have no idea what criteria EU officials have decided to use to define what an ebike is, BUT I do know that when conducting the totally unbiased 'study' that justified this scam scheme, they included scooters/hoverboards/unicycles etc in the definition of 'ebike' to make the market look flooded, it wouldn't surprise me if the definition is still vague/broad to allow them slithering room to sting you. So I repeat, I have no idea if scooters are actually liable for this hefty legalised mugging of electric vehicle buyers but do look into it.

Got my scooter. It's great, maxed out at 13mph. Needed activated via Chinese phone number. Had to install a VPN on my phone (windscribe) for one off activation.

Anyone got their scooter yet? Any good?

Mine just got shipped. June 9th

might do the same thing because by the time customs get their hands on the Segway, it'll cost the same as the M365 from Spain.

Just to add, Now the gearbest refund fun starts :S

But good deal based on the price saving.

Unfortunately, I think these might be as illegal in public as Segway PTs are (and hoverboards). I had a AirWheel version (very similar to the Ninebot One). They are fun to ride and are about 3 times faster than walking. Some other models (non-Segway) travel at about 25MPH!

Love the normal Segway. If I wasn't a sad old fat git I'd grab one. With knee pads

you walk faster than I can run

You don't want one of these from France, they are left hand drive.

Thanks, just had a quick look though have already ordered this one. That samsung logo is a bit deceiving, as it's the battery that's made by samsung which is the same as this deal. Delivery is £21 and warranty is only 6 months through m1ghtydeals. I think the extra bit of warranty is worth the £49 extra from this deal. Cheers anyway

B&m are going to sell them at £199 on black Friday. ;)

Believe it or not... police are actually human beings. Most are not interested in arresting people for having fun as long as it's not at the risk or detriment to others. Ridden at a walking pace and taking care most won't care. Start being an idiot and the law gives them the power to do something about it. Obviously there's always a jobsworth out there who gets power crazed the minute they put on a luminous jacket.

I guess they wont be going looking for kids playing on them but just wait until there is an accident caused by one of these, then it wont be a case of the Crown Prosecution Service looking the other way, the person using it will be prosecuted as they would be in any similar case.

OOOOOOOooooooo badass! Toys r us are selling them for £250 maybe not this model but your child will be too bored with it by boxing day to realize or care.

groupon don't actually sell, test or check what they advertise they just take payment, a seller contacts them to say they have a deal and groupon advertise and they take a %

Battery scooters are also only to be used on private land and nothing was done about them, I think people are still going to buy these whether their banned or not or a lot of unhappy kids at Christmas

the real Hoverboard < click here

Didn't actually realise these were illegal to use! not that I want one but Google has spent a whole lot of time encouraging its popular YouTubers to review them! All that I see on YouTube these days! Someone's gonna have to open up a hover board course or fifty after Xmas!

It's unlikely to be a scam. Pretty much all sellers - except the ones who can afford to buy stock and brand their product and add a premium price tag - place the order direct with chinese manufacturer and charge a small fee for doing so. There will usually always be a 2months wait as at these sort of prices you are buying from the factory. If you ever watch an "unboxing" video they will always start by saying "waited Six weeks for this!" etc. not ordered this yesterday... It will probably have a cheap battery and break easily and have no warranty unless you want to pay £100 to post it back to China but you get what you pay for I suppose!

Don't forget that the guy who bought the business died as he was careering around woodland testing a trekking model out.

Seems like a reasonable offer. I've bought two of the 2 x people for one hour Segway Rally plus a photo of the experience. Paid £35 for the first and £33 for the second. In my experience if you are on the Buyagift mailing list then you receive some pretty good offers in the run-uo to Christmas. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Segway offer popping up again. Plus they can be left to the last minute if you choose to download the e-voucher. Alternatively don't forget Quidco and Topcashback, who currently offer 10 - 12%, though often the discount offers direct from Buyagift will be greater and can't be used in conjunction with the cashback. In any event you really shouldn't be paying the full price at Buyagift. Once you've purchased you generally have 10 months to book a date and use the voucher. The Segway Rally looked good as the whole family can take part.

I did one on Thursday with a company called Experience The Country, 45 mins for 2 people. I think it was around the £50 mark (got it as a pressie) and it's great fun, would recommend it to anyone. This seems a really good price for 2 people, heat added

Alternatively the same deal at Virgin Experience Days works out at £21 using the 25% off code in the O2 Priority Moments App

Also worth noting that you'll need to upgrade if you can't do Mon-Fri.
