Thought it said crack pot.
What a crock!
Thank you (y)
its just over 300w presumably that's on the high setting, so will use almost 2 units of electric for a 6 hour slow cook, about the same as an average oven will use if it's on for an hour or 20 - 30p depending on your tariff, if you're on a cheap economy 7 night tariff it could be 10 - 15p to run it for the 6 hours overnight
Thank you for your reply 🙌
Back up to £14 bangers, no as good as this slow cooker, does the job tho. This one is better the op posted I'd say.
Smashed the lid on my old 6l slow cooker so perfect timing OP ordered
I got this on Prime day too but sent it back and got the Instant Pot. Lol. My main reason is that I like the stainless steel pot that comes with the Instant Pot. Its more durable than the non-stick, you don't have to worry about it peeling and you can put any accessories in it. Plus it's easier to buy replacement pots and accessories for. You can get them on Amazon and other places. Plus there were a few more variables with the settings that I liked. They are both similar though and this Crock-pot one is good value for the price. :D
I got this on Prime Day and I know someone with an Instant Pot. It's literally the same thing, but cheaper. I can't see anything the Instant Pot does that this doesn't. I wanted it for yoghurt and beans mainly and it's really good, can recommend!
Yeah try the sauté function on your pressure cooker. It saves washing up as you can do it all in the same pot. Also, all flavours are kept within the one pot too. It depends which pressure cooker you have with regards to the browning/sauté temperature though. My Instant Pot has low, medium and high so it covers all of my browning needs quite well. It sautes for up to 30 minutes too. You can also use the sauté function at the end of pressure cooking to thicken sauces. Plus use it to heat soup and reheat food etc. Its like using a pan on the stove. Try it. ;)
absolutely and yes saute and browning. for browning tho i'll put it on the frying pan. i nevery actually used saute - should i? isn't it 'gentle browning'?
Sauté is a good feature too. ;) I like to sauté before pressure cooking or slow cooking. I agree that not all 12 modes are needed though. You can use use the pressure cooker or manual mode and select the timings. I suppose it’s down to individual preference.
If somebody goes to a b&m dont hesitate to take to the till and scan the item, to be sure 100%. Most of the times is a wild goose but the rest they dont change any price label and it's the only way to find out.
One available(maybe) definitely false advertising for the majority. Another fake deal (annoyed)
It was never £40! 20 at best again false advertising to get people through the doors. Doubt OP even got one
What OOS ?? It is a SCAM ..... B&M advertisement is a scam, time waster. It is much worse than Tesco goose chasing item. It is shown online but they have never been sold online at this price. You could not reserve it online for C&C at your local. store. You are extremely extremely lucky if you could get it at that price at your local B&M. I fully believe people who have voted hot for this item have never really hunted the B&M bargain item, so they are not aware what game the B&M is playing. If you ever get one their bargain item, what is their success rate it more likely 1 to 100 ? you are hunting hundred time you are already lucky if you could successfully get one item. Also I really doubt if anyone here get this item at £1 price. It might be good to report the B&M to the ASA, as they show it online at this price but when you got to your local shop and see this item you do not get it at the advertised price. They just want people to travel to their local shop and see another item they could buy from them. It is a SCAM .
how cynical, i'm sure there is one at the back of a shop in north wales for a quid so lets all rush to our local just in case.
Damn 3 months to cook a stew? :o This really is a slow cooker.
i would not bother, the sear function with these means you have to remove the inner pot and put it on a stove, instead maybe look at an electric pressure cooker, these can be had for around the £50 mark and many have the slow cook function as well as the sear function plus a hell of a lot more. When i got my first one it replaced my slow cooker, rice cooker, soup pot, jam pot and my stove top pressure cooker.
1-3 month dispatch time, bought one anyway. Thanks op
Was thinking about this for our kitchen and generally available for £30 but still .70p cheaper so heat from me :)
They are perfect for turning on in the morning, then going home to a nice cooked meal. If you are going to add meat, make sure you brown the meat first in a pan, then add it to the slow cooker.
it's a SLOW cooker. and they're very low energy users
Very slow and waste of energy and vitamins , buy pressure cooker instead.
any good for seasoned chicken?
This is a good find, thanks for posting!
Great device. Worthwhile buy. Regularly cook lamb & beef joints. Just need to sear first. Meat melts in your mouth & all the taste has been retained.
Buy Pressure cooker instead. No loss of time , energy or vitamins in food
Great cooker. Get one if you can
Better than having to throw Momma from the train.
Bought one myself a few weeks back. Used it numerous times already, its great. Heat
Same price in my asda, must be national too. Got 1 for momma for Christmas so I can have mine back (annoyed)
Good price but seen many of these returned over last few weeks
Ebay are selling for £21.99 with free delivery https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BREVILLE-5-5-L-STAINLESS-STEEL-SLOW-COOKER-CROCK-POT-ITP138-BRAND-NEW-/152857853253
Arogs???? Are they new???!!! (party)
I liked the smaller one but didn't make sense compared to the 6.5l for twenty pounds so got that instead, fits a whole chicken easy
I've just bought this one from Asda... Its very good :)
Big fan of slow cookers...ok, my wife is 8) We she has one of the Morphy Richards sear & stew in the pot ones. Used regularly
Bought one in Livingston today. Amazing chilli for dinner.
Seen this in Swansea asda today. Bought one (y)
Don't buy this I've had mine 2 weeks and it's just blown up in me !!!!

Too small for family :(
Thank you loumar76! Heated up Op
Thanks bought :)
Tesco one is currently £12
Many thanks Loubou I've ordered.
This is reduced to £69.99 again but this time on Amazon. I tried to post it but got a message to say I can’t post the seller. Not sure why not. It’s being sold by Anova USA and fulfilled by Amazon. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B074ZMKVWW/ref=twister_B07D2HZPJC?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

I've been using mine at least weekly for over a year and not had any issues. My favourite 'gadget' i assume expired as I can't find the £69 price now as I would have bought one for my brother
Beware of the steam issue with anovas. Hard to know which is best these days with so many mixed reviews. But quite a few people have mentioned the steam has made the anova faulty after a while. I'm eyeing up something like a wancle which eliminates this issue. Anyone have any experience with this issue?
Thank you. Just ordered :)
Probably, mine can and it is a cheap one too
I paid £7 for this a couple of years ago
