I believe this is really cheap, I ordered one, hope this help some one else.

So basically we're all Alexa. Alexaception.

So its basically Alexa then? Ask it something and it replies.

might wanna add Marvel to your post for those of us with alerts ✌ heat added

The other Sphero products are much better, this one doesn't even move anywhere.

Seems far too much of a gimmick. Cool but I feel the novelty will wear out even for the little kid inside of me.

amazon price matching at the mo...for those who don't want to leave the house (cheeky)

It comes with just the one, I picked mine up the other day and verified with them in store. The description is a bit iffy. In order to get another shell direct from sphero it is about £7.80 plus £15 p&p. For £30 though I think this will keep the kids amused for a while in Christmas Day.

Anyone know if it does come with shells?

Same, thanks OP looks fab

I agree. But price is the bottom line for a lot of people. And let's face it, if its going to go tats up, it will do it within 30 days. After that, it's most likely to be accidental damage.

TKMAXX stores seem to have more stock now!

It's just over £5 more for a UK one with full warranty https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/Electronic-Toys/Sphero-R201ROW-R2-D2-App-Enabled-Droid/B071LLZKG7 And guessing it'll likely have a US plug on too - I like saving a bit - but for this I think the extra 5 is worth it

Wowzers, arriving today! (y) Saw that Scan deal too.....Sphero R2D2 with three Stars Wars drones for 100quid.....I need to fit myself some restraining bolts sharpish!!! ;)

Ordered earlier today...Brill price for a cool little toy....heated up and thanks for posting (y) I think these droids also interact with the movies.....but I could be very wrong.....

I bought one for the kids, the programming app is a reasonable entry to seeing something programmed on screen happen in real life. The sphero is sold to schools as an educational tool and I think it might work ok at primary level.

Of course it will

It was (may still be) £40 in TK Maxx, posted before on here....but in the mens gift section and not toy section

why do you think R2 is much better?

The R2 one is so much better!

I got one and found it boring, then realised that am in my 30s so maybe not targeted at me. Got my daughter one for this xmas though as sure kids will get more outta this.

Sphero battle worn BB8 with force band special edition £39.99 @ TK Maxx instore

Sphero bb8 with force band in store at Chippenham, might be store specific but worth a try if you have a store nearby?

I've been in about 5 different TK Maxxs looking for these in the toy section. (annoyed)

Also had a large stock of these and Bluetooth tie fighters in Chichester Homesense same price (branch of tkmaxx )

Note these are not in the toy section but the men’s gift section (if they have any that is!)

Stores in London were clueless, pointing me to oversized soft toys or not understanding what sphero is even those in the toy department in the biggest London branch.

Q5 has slightly different tones but yes it's basically a reskin.

Great reduction if you're a gadget / Spiderman fan. Selling over £150 in August

Same as myself. Under £20 sounds reasonable and probably what it should have been all along. Thanks for mentioning they sell them on ebay (y)

Just ordered one from velocityelectronics ebay says over 10 available.

It can't. Spiders can actually move.

Amazing if not expensive “toy” big reduction. Normally over £200

Dropping in price even more if anyone wants to turn up the temp!

Beware buying the reconditioned models from the same company. I made the mistake of chancing it. Despite being listed as checked and reconditioned the one I received must've been checked and reconditioned by Had fluff and hairs stuck under every wheel, the spoiler was completely snapped off and the car was stuck in French language (pricetag on box was in Euros) despite going through the lengthy process of updating the language to English 4 times it still wouldn't change. Sphero (manufacturer) were good to deal with and they did try and solve the issue via email however the merchant were poor to say the least. I returned the vehicle. For £85 I'd say it's worth it though, the quality of the car, the animatronics and app are all high quality, if you buy new.

I buy LOL dolls at £12 a pop and the big one for £60 so who am i to talk (embarrassed) but £150 for what looks like a remote control car seems a tad overpriced in my opinion.

The same could be said about any toy... Lego, pieces of plastic sold for crazy money... Hatchimals, like seriously wtf?... Fingerlings, looks like something from Poundland... Kids will be kids, and their toys will always be sold at a premium if the demand is there.

It’s a race car. That talks. Has moving eyes and mouth. Lights too. Watches Cars the movie with you... about it really. XD This looks better I reckon. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZyVMFZPi_Qk Completely different I know but still. XD
