Definitely Recommended! :{

My old XO Threes are better than these, sent mine back and got hyper clouds for £75 much better, not true surround on Xbox.

Both of them are not great picks. G933, Cloud Flight are great picks. Astros and Steelseries have really dull sound and horrible mics.

These are not 7.1 on ps4 and xb1

Are these any better than the Astro a50's ? Refurb Astros for 150 ish

Bought one recently, bit disappointed, very creaky and plasticky and doesn't glide that well but will give heat as I paid £54 just a month asgo.

There have been a lot of complaints about the glued on rubber coming apart after a few months ... the glue seems to “liquify” for some reason ... still as long as it’s covered in a 12 months warranty then I guess it’s less of an issue .. nice feeling/working gaming mouse

This mouse kicks the proverbial behind. I love mine. A little plastick-y feeling, but the rubber thumb grip is real nice ... the shape is, subjectively for me, the best mouse shape on the market. And it's super accurate, satisfying clicks, great software. I think I paid very slightly more than this too. Giving heat.

For some reason all mouse deals are voted cold

STEELSERIES Arctis 7 Wireless 7.1 Gaming Headset - White £99.97 @ PCWorld

Yes Ebuyer had these in black at the same price a couple of weeks ago but not anymore. So you will be saving around £30 on these which isn't too shabby is it ?

Personal choice of course. I am looking at multi platform and wireless headsets which these seem to fit the bill. They always feature in the top list of reviews but I think they are beginning to get replaced by the newer Steelseries models which is possibly why they are dropping in price. I am hanging out for the black set to drop in price again.

I bought DT 990 PRO for same price. Apparently much better than these for PC gaming.

I own these.. best headset I've ever had... Well with the money. Quality piece of kit.

I have the arctis 5s and they're ok. Not bad for gaming although I find them a bit tinny

I don't know about the wireless version (as apparently slightly heavier), but version 3 (non wireless), exact same ear cups, head band etc are super comfy, bought them purposefully after trying them on and searching for comfy headphones. Great for glasses wearers, main reason I bought!

Yeah, I sold 3 different headsets I was using and bought the Bowers which I use for everything now

Nice deal but I went with the Hyer X cloud 2 as Xmas, didn't regret it.

The Bowers PX are nearly 3 times the price of these though to be fair?

Thanks :) 👌

Thumbs up for the description hah

Had mine for years and they have excellent sound quality. The spare battery to charge in the control box while using the other is such a good idea I don't know why they don't all do it. Word of warning though if you are planning to use the optical output, the shutters on the port have tiny springs and are prone to breaking if pulled. I bought through amazon so had a replacement sent out FoC. You can counter it by just making sure the OLED control box is fixed to your desk or stick with the USB connection.

Headset itself is brilliant but mic is awful (you voice sounds as if you are talking through a pipe from really far away)

buy sticky white paper and cut out SSD size. Stick it on top so it hides the horrible crucial design.

Thankfully, in this free world we don't have to understand all of the choices other people make (especially something as innocuous as aesthetic and lighting in your PC case choices), and it's perfectly okay to not like what other people do.

I can't undertand this people with lighting everywhere, keyboards are "ok", sometimes are useful... but the rest are just useless annoyances

It's odd - I 100% replied to this yesterday, apparently the comment went into moderation, then disappeared lol. It doesn't distract me, but there's a few factors: 1. I've got the main RGB strip set to a dark purple now which is very unobtrusive, 2. the pics are from my old Galaxy Note 4 and are quite overexposed exaggerating the effect you see here, and 3. a little ambient light is actually very good for your eyes when playing at night. I'm not as much of a fan of the flashing rainbows looking like the Las Vegas skyline on an acid trip, but a more subtle and static colour combination has become very pleasing to me now.

SteelSeries Arctis 7 Wireless Headset £107.21 @ Amazon
Found 20th MarFound 20th Mar
The arctis 7 back at a low price again. Was £140. Been waiting for this to drop down again!! :)

Very comfortable, sound is I think slightly better than the senheisers I was using. Tried them on my mobile phone with high quality Spotify and it was sublime, every detail absolutely clear to my ears. Possibly too good for ps4?

Hopefully the PS4 is able to get the best out of them. I'm unsure of the audio reproduction hardware/software on the PS4 as I've used mine on a PC with a dedicated sound-card for Music programs and light gaming. Let me know how you get on, I'd be very interested to hear your experience.

On the strength of your review I've bought some, thank you for getting back to me. Really looking forward to trying them on ps4.

Sorry, I've just picked this up now. From what I've read, they're somehow the newer version of the 950s confusingly... I can vouch for their sound quality and the foam padding is much more durable than others I've used although one slight downside I've noticed lately as the band is a little grabby or tight and can become quite uncomfortable after a few hours use although my head is a bit bigger than your average noggin so it may just be me :) The sound quality however is exceptional for the price and I often play games with my old Kave set then replay them with these just to see the difference. Its night and day as I often hear notes, sounds and background noise my "gaming headset" just didn't reproduce despite using the same source - an external USB Audio card

Thank you, really helpful. I might have misunderstood, but how is the Samson SR850 the newer version when they are made by a different company?

SteelSeries M500 Cherry Red, Mechanical Keyboard £59.99 Argos
Found 5th MarFound 5th Mar
Was up a week or so back for £63.99 but has been reduced further to £59.99. Bargain for a full size cherry keyboard from a good manufacturer!

I've no experience with VHenry switches, but IIRC they generally continue the same naming convention as Cherry. Nothing off-putting at all - more purely down to preference. Red switches are quiet, light, and short-travel, best for gaming generally. Blue switches are are loud (clickety clackity), heavier press and longer travel, good tactile feedback, better for typing generally. Brown switches are the combination of the two, and my preferred. Tactile enough for good typing while responsive enough for extended gaming sessions, and quiet. ^ that's all off the top of my head, so don't quote me on it all perfectly. There's a good article on which explains the different mechanical key cap feels. Google around :)

VHenry red switches? I bought one last. Ight and will collect soon. Why is whatever that is off-putting?

Bought this and collected today. As others have mentioned, these really are a touch typists keyboard - and I am one. This is a solid well made keyboard and has quite a weight to it. I can see it lasting a lifetime. This is how keyboards used to be made. These have no click and the only noise they make is when the key returns after being pressed. I Would actually prefer the brown as they provide some noise feedback (click) to confirm when a key stroke has been made, however none are available at affordable prices. I tried other mechanical keyboards, but usually you will only find ones with the blue switches at the discounted/cheaper price ranges and to me they are not good. They are too loud and require more effort to type than even a standard keyboard.

Good for the typists amongst us I think.

So close. Waiting on a full size MX brown or blues for work. Not fussed on lighting, white light in an ideal world.

Steelseries are great mice. Highly recommended. HOT!

Cheers for checking on that for people interested in the deal. Personally though I'd pay the extra 53p for a brand new item.

Thanks for the heat guys :{

I looked at this mouse but ended up getting a Logitech g203. I can recommend it if you prefer smaller mouses.

Good deal, and your first post so have some heat. Before the price went up (and forgetting shipping), this was an awesome deal. I just bought a SteelSeries Rival 310 last week - absolutely adore it for the (subjectively) perfect hand-shape, stupendous sensor, and lovely tactile buttons/wheels etc. It's a little plasticky, and could be a touch heavier to my liking, but fantastic nonetheless. I'm coming from a SteelSeries Xai bought in 2012 (that's been with me living in Asia, France, and back), so I'm obviously fairly confident in their workmanship.

I've never heard a pair of these so I can't comment on the audio but I was going to buy a pair at this price and I had spied a pair in my local Cash Converters so I tried those ones on for size before I placed my order and I'm glad I did as I found that the really didn't fit well at all and were really and I mean really, loose on my head and didn't seal at all around my ears. I don't have a massive head either, I wear most headphones on around half the size or under. I have read people online saying the same thing online in reviews however some people say they fit just fine, so I think it differs from person to person more than the "one size fits all" branding of it. I ended up ordering a pair of Siberia 200's (again) instead to go with my Cloud 2s which I use on a daily basis but which are just a tad heavy for my liking (however the more I wear them, the more I get used to them) I think I'm just use to how lightweight the Siberias are, the Clouds definitely sound a little better.

Arctis 3 connects by 2x 3.5mm 2 pole jack, brings an adaptor for 4pole 3.5mm jack for console. The Cloud 2's have a 0,5m cable that ends at a 4 pole 3.5mm jack. The extension contains the usb soundcard and connects by usb. Be aware this is only simulates 7.1 on PC.

Are they USB connections or 3.5mm connections only?

I'd pick the Cloud 2's over these ones. Only the 7's over the cloud 2's for me.

I have these and they're amazing! They are only 7.1 on PC as an FYI for those on console. They work perfectly with all consoles but the one criticism after having Tritton's to these is the lack of bass. But for an over ear pair of headphones with fab sound quality are amazing! I highly recommend l

I have read stuff about this issue somewhere but not come across it myself seeing I'm 100% dinosaur wired, I think banging the mic too hard like from a drop can cause that though but don't quote me on it

I just got a pair of steelseries siberia 840's and i can't talk to my mates on xbox one without my mic echoing what we all say, it's sooo annoying and i payed 160 for them, very dissapointed, it's happening witj my astro a50's aswell though, does anybody know how to fix this issue with wireless headphones on xbox one s?

I got the first generation 300's, had them for quite a few years now and still couldn't be any more impressed than I am. Of course the second gen did add more features when they came out last year, they have got a detachable cable and a mic mute button but reviews say audio wise they're not really any different to the originals. They are so good I still got some quite literally brand new white A40's here that came with my white Xbox compatible Mixamp a couple of years ago I have never ever used. I should really have whacked them on eBay in that £1 final fee promo I sold my other couple of Xbones in before Christmas but it's too late now :( Saying about multi use I can't be doing with ropey buds but would never use what are clearly chunky home cans for outdoors, got some Senny Momentum's for the mobile/pod/tablet sounds on the go. I must admit whenever I see someone walking about or on public transport sporting them big huge over ear cans I find myself getting this nigh on uncontrollable urge to tear them off their nut (fierce) I just don't think it's a good luck, not to mention they are totally impractical for that use.

The winning solution is to go for a separate pair of headphones and a modmic, for the same price as a headset you can get a much better quality pair of headphones and a mic. Sadly that isn't much of an option if you really don't want the wires. =/

Your probably right although I can't say as never used the mmx300 but for wired variants there are so many options available like hyperX which you could have 4+ of for the same price. I guess comes down to what you can afford / willing to pay. For this price though I would like the flexibility of the of wireless and reason I mention the 840 is because with the way mobiles are going with no 3.5mm jacks it's a multi use kinda thing :) One day I will stop procrastinating... hopefully soon hehe
