My rival 300 lasted 6 months

Had the rival 300 for 2/3 years and only just started to show wear on the rubber sides. Albeit purchased the 310 when it first came out and sides fell off, they replaced it immediately and not had any issues with this replacement. I can only say from my side that if the 310 lasts 2/3 years longevity won't be a problem but their customer service was excellent.

Decent deal but having owned 2 steelseries mice which broke in six months of moderate use or less; I can not recommend them. While they work they are great but the don't work very long, steelseries products are not built to last and from what I have read and seen I am not the only one have problems with longevity.

Might be cold because very briefly the keyboard was £89.99 and the going price for the mouse is £30ish. Although this is currently the cheapest deal for the keyboard even without the mouse. The keyboard is very nice but beware that while the keys have lots of travel they register strokes with almost no force, I keep registering ; by just having my fingers on the home keys. The mouse is okay, but I wish I'd paid the extra for the Rival 600.

Im wondering why this deal is going to be cold? I know that keyboard on its own is overpriced but its bundle for price of keyboard only.

Heat added, cheers OP. People are only voting cold because they're not prepared to pay for quality - apparently cheaper means better quality on here. I personally prefer the Astros, but Steelseries are still a good brand.

Ironically the people whinging are the people who probalay have no intention of buying anything

That sums up the reaction nicely!

Wish this site had gold star comments!

"What's that? 20% off their entire range on their website? Is it compatible with my Commodore 64? It's not 25% off ... and you can get an inferior model from a different brand for £10 less over at this random chinese company, but there's only 1 item and it's damaged stock ... COLD!!!!" /s .... (annoyed) Heat added. Good share OP.

Anyone know if this is a lot better than the Turtle Beach Recon 50, for the Xbox?

Does anyone else have an issue where their PC's will not go into sleep mode when the USB headphones are plugged in?

As far as I am aware, the Arctis 3 is the same as the 7 only not wireless (and lacks DTS) but certainly the rest including the microphone is the same so these should suit your needs :).

Being wired is what attracts me to these, alongside the decent mic & comfy earcups. If I’m going to have a wireless headset again I may have to spend £100+ which I can’t afford/justify, but can’t risk audio cut outs during raids anymore. Thanks

My old XO Threes are better than these, sent mine back and got hyper clouds for £75 much better, not true surround on Xbox.

Both of them are not great picks. G933, Cloud Flight are great picks. Astros and Steelseries have really dull sound and horrible mics.

These are not 7.1 on ps4 and xb1

Are these any better than the Astro a50's ? Refurb Astros for 150 ish

Bought one recently, bit disappointed, very creaky and plasticky and doesn't glide that well but will give heat as I paid £54 just a month asgo.

There have been a lot of complaints about the glued on rubber coming apart after a few months ... the glue seems to “liquify” for some reason ... still as long as it’s covered in a 12 months warranty then I guess it’s less of an issue .. nice feeling/working gaming mouse

This mouse kicks the proverbial behind. I love mine. A little plastick-y feeling, but the rubber thumb grip is real nice ... the shape is, subjectively for me, the best mouse shape on the market. And it's super accurate, satisfying clicks, great software. I think I paid very slightly more than this too. Giving heat.

For some reason all mouse deals are voted cold

SteelSeries make seemingly decent products, but their RMA process should anything go wrong within warranty is comfortably the worst I've ever experienced. You have to ship the defective product at your cost to some weird address in Denmark of all places (supposedly a factory address but there's no external information anywhere that confirms this), they then supposedly offer a voucher for the equivalent cost of the product which you can only use on their web shop. The voucher part I know nothing about because when I shipped my defective Arctis headset back to them in Denmark (cost £15 to post) they refused to acknowledge the delivery and automatically closed the RMA after 30 days despite numerous emails and attempts to contact them. They only send scripted emails. So I've lost a £80 headset that stopped working after 6 months due to a very common fault, and then £15 in shipping it to them, and no response. Do a quick google of their customer support to see how bad it is and how many people have been ripped off.

Good price!

Thank you for the kind words.

Not a bad price tbh, nice find (y)

STEELSERIES Arctis 7 Wireless 7.1 Gaming Headset - White £99.97 @ PCWorld

Yes Ebuyer had these in black at the same price a couple of weeks ago but not anymore. So you will be saving around £30 on these which isn't too shabby is it ?

Personal choice of course. I am looking at multi platform and wireless headsets which these seem to fit the bill. They always feature in the top list of reviews but I think they are beginning to get replaced by the newer Steelseries models which is possibly why they are dropping in price. I am hanging out for the black set to drop in price again.

I bought DT 990 PRO for same price. Apparently much better than these for PC gaming.

I own these.. best headset I've ever had... Well with the money. Quality piece of kit.

I have the arctis 5s and they're ok. Not bad for gaming although I find them a bit tinny

I don't know about the wireless version (as apparently slightly heavier), but version 3 (non wireless), exact same ear cups, head band etc are super comfy, bought them purposefully after trying them on and searching for comfy headphones. Great for glasses wearers, main reason I bought!

Thanks :) 👌

Had mine for years and they have excellent sound quality. The spare battery to charge in the control box while using the other is such a good idea I don't know why they don't all do it. Word of warning though if you are planning to use the optical output, the shutters on the port have tiny springs and are prone to breaking if pulled. I bought through amazon so had a replacement sent out FoC. You can counter it by just making sure the OLED control box is fixed to your desk or stick with the USB connection.

Headset itself is brilliant but mic is awful (you voice sounds as if you are talking through a pipe from really far away)

buy sticky white paper and cut out SSD size. Stick it on top so it hides the horrible crucial design.

Thankfully, in this free world we don't have to understand all of the choices other people make (especially something as innocuous as aesthetic and lighting in your PC case choices), and it's perfectly okay to not like what other people do.

I can't undertand this people with lighting everywhere, keyboards are "ok", sometimes are useful... but the rest are just useless annoyances

It's odd - I 100% replied to this yesterday, apparently the comment went into moderation, then disappeared lol. It doesn't distract me, but there's a few factors: 1. I've got the main RGB strip set to a dark purple now which is very unobtrusive, 2. the pics are from my old Galaxy Note 4 and are quite overexposed exaggerating the effect you see here, and 3. a little ambient light is actually very good for your eyes when playing at night. I'm not as much of a fan of the flashing rainbows looking like the Las Vegas skyline on an acid trip, but a more subtle and static colour combination has become very pleasing to me now.
