Nothing to do with Alexa, this is a thermometer.

Is this better than Alexa ? maxmix

Thanks! I know it works with the gateway, but I don't have one and I don't want one. my question is if it works without a gateway, basically to sit in the living room as a thermometer and me to be able to check the temperature on my phone while I am not at home. I am not interested in doing any 'fancy' things, just to check the temperature.

Yeah if you got gateway just get xiaomi temperature sensor.

Does anybody knows anything similar at about the same price? Without the need of a hub/gateway and to be able to check temperature via app? I can check on tado app but my thermostat is downstairs where is freezing, want to check temperature upstairs. Don't want to invest on the tado extension kit. Thanks!

I thought FBA China sellers were banned, looks like this one uses an address in the UK to fool the buyer seeing that the registered business owner is LI, Zhongrun and from Hunan Province. I see you like this business too ;)

Got this on Amazon Prime Day for slightly more in anticipation for baby. Have use it a few times and it's quite good.

Had this for over year for baby and it's been excellent. Caps purchased off Amazon for around £2 per pack. Recommended and this is a decent price

Good tenants are like gold nuggets. Very precious and very hard to find, especially when I live 8000 miles away. They need to be looked after carefully. No, I had never met them until 6 weeks ago when I offered them the place. I find East Europeans tend to be hard working and reliable.

I had bought several different ‘cheap’ thermometers for my first born, and each one gave a wildly different result. I have found the Braun one accurate and consistent (and cheaper than the sum of all the other ‘cheap’ ones).

The price seems a total rip off. Buy this https://www.amazon.co.uk/BeiLan-Thermometer-Measurement-Accuracy-Axillary/dp/B07DK6J263 Using discount code: NLQH-HKJQVW-5H7CWK for £3.52 (I've not checked if the code works) Or buy something from the "Customers also shopped for" section, if you want something more sophisticated.

I have the 7 series. The protective case is useful as keeps it clean and can store the caps in it. The traffic light age gauge is also good, the backlight is annoying in the dark.

Are you related to them? Or are you just one of those very very rare nice landlords ?

Great price

Reviews question it's accuracy

Good price as I paid £17 for this in Asda whilst in a rush last week. Was refunded when it turned out to be faulty and either turned itself off during measurements or didn't come on at all during power up and just let out a non stop fast clicking sound instead.

Thanks ordered.

Same here. Never convinced the reading given makes sense.

Very poor item. Ours lasted six months. Avoid even though the price is good

Good deal but the thermometer is rubbish. Not accurate at all...

I agree with this comment. We had this and it really wasn't very accurate. Spend some more money and get a Braun one.

Was about to say save some money and get a Braun one. TT good with bootles and stuff but this is just not their best product ever...

Doubtless it'll be a different brand, but is this worth nearly 3 times the price? I bought this It didn't work. There'll be a high failure rate with these so you minimise the risk and save a couple of quid by grabbing one from your local pound shop.

"Accuracy: 1.5 Deg.C" Doesn't sound very good to me.

Good for testing for the infected for a zombie Apocalypse ...

wood fired (Pizza) ovens etc need to get to 450c-500c so this one's range not up to that, but a really good price so heat added.

OP. You should realise that a minus sign immediately in front of a number means that it is a negative amount so that -£4.60 made it look as if you were making £4.60 on the deal.

Not knocking this, but there are loads of these for the same price on eBay. Boots sell the filters, very expensive though. Most eBay and Amazon sellers are either expensive or fake. That's why they sell the actual thermometer so cheap!

If this helps anyone - I returned mine. A nice idea from a reputable brand, however it always showed a higher temperature compared to conventional thermometers. Some measurements were over a degree higher, setting false alarms. Also, be aware that these thermometers are not manufactured by Braun, they are manufactured under their licence.

I've noticed most GP surgery's and NHS wards use the Braun infrared inner ear model which I purchased because of this. The Braun range seem to be accurate and highly recommended.

We've got this and it's brilliant. Never had any problems with it. When my two are ill I can take their temp without them waking.

I’ve never used this one but only last night I ordered a HuBDIC HFS-900 Infrared Thermometer. From eBay. £34. The HuBDIC’s are great. I use them at work (NHS). Korean made.
