There are some good offers on Amazon Germany but import duties raise the price higher. For example, 170 EUR + shipping charges + import duties https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B011Z7B1T0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Careful with this, the screw head that attaches to your device or mount holder when lost is either hard to find or you're paying almost £20 for it
Yes; by getting a tripod mount holder such as this one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/283957920694
Can You attach a mobile phone to it? And if yes then how please?
i am tempted by this, its a good deal... but in the end went with this one,: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0815JN27Z/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 mainly because i get a monopod too. Hopefully the quality is descent though!
I assume the Silver one looks like this (can only see images of the Black one on Amazon), from this ebay US listing It's in bubble wrap, but you get the gist (embarrassed)
Funnily enough, I've seen some of the stock photos for this product advertising different China microphones on Amazon. Pictures don't tell us anything about how the product performs, only that they're cheaping out on their promo material, which isn't that unusual for a £10+ item. There are at least two good reviews in this thread, so I would be assured by that. Here's a Youtube review from Tobias Holenstein: This video links to the (now OOS) Amazon US link for this microphone, which has more reviews and Q&As. Obviously I'd take Vine Reviews with a pinch of salt. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B087M3YSQH I should really have added these last night but I was getting tired (cheeky)
I've noticed a lot of sellers of chinese tat has started spending a lot more time photoshopping their photos on amazon. Given the ridiculous amount of stock photos of people smiling and having fun for this product, I'd say this mic is probably cheap garbage.
You can't give 0 stars on Amazon reviews :D
I always ignore the 5 and 1 stars and focus on why people gave it less than 5 for the other reviews . There are a lot of fake reviews for the 5 stars and people who give 0 stars are usually slightly unhinged or angry about somthing
It's weird, as I've had no problem with this mic at all. Maybe I'm one of the lucky ones but streaming through OBS with no filtering or effects, all recordings sound clear and precise. Granted, audio quality it's not that of a professional level but I wasn't expecting it to be for something so cheap!
I’m looking to get my nephew a mic for his birthday as he wants to start streaming. Any recommendations on a decent budget mic? Don’t want to spend too much just in case it’s a fad.
I have one that looks exactly like this, but a different brand on it. Even has the same stand and pop filter... It was terrible. Gain, all over the place too quiet then too loud. Background noise abysmal. Spent a bit more for a blue snowball, it's been absolutely flawless. Super clear audio for teams/zoom, works will with krisp.ai and discord for gaming. Heard my voice back on plenty meeting recordings and it's clear and natural. I'd recommend spending a bit more for something much better
I've got the other one. Exactly the same. They claim to reduce background noise, I can assure you, they do not. In a silent room, it picks up the sound of you gently rubbing your finger and thumb together 2m away from the mic. Ridiculous background pick up
I wrote pretty much the same stuff when it was posted previously but IIRC I was disagreed with. Nice that you have same experience. Average price is £27 so this is more expensive than usual.
This made me laugh way more than it should have (lol)
I bought this two or three months back for this price then whenI received it I was going to post the deal only to see that it had doubled in price. it has been that way till now. I really like it, it's very good quality and it looks expensive, although I wouldn't recommened it if you have pets or small kids running around near the TV. Although, it comes with a wire which you can attach to wall to stop it falling over. If you are in half a mind buy it on paypal where you can return it for free as I suspect the price will go up again soon.
Great for taking pics with your tv

National Geographic Travel Photo Tripod Kit with Monopod, Aluminium, 4-Section Legs, Lever Locks, Load up 6kg £24.99 @ Amazon£24.99 Free P&P FreeAmazon Deals
Came across this really good deal on this tripod. Really good for travelling and it gets the job done. (y)
I'm done with the majority of tripods on the market today. Too many plastic parts to wear out or break. Had two go on me over the last 7 yrs. I've gone back to 1970/80 models from Velbon. Just bought an as new VGB-3C for £27 delivered on eBay.
Depends what your "friend" is going to do with the tripod, or where it's likely to be inserted.
Have same design in a Giottos and great for travel. That said haven't used it in years as it's another thing to lug around. Hold onto it in case I do macro but handheld so many cameras and lenses have stabilisation I rarely need a tripod. Heated but ask yourself if you are going to actually use it.
Thanks op nice find (y)
Carbon version is down to £69. But that was £40-something during Black Friday

Yeah, I’m trying to keep within a bit of a budget atm, I used to be into things about 10 years ago so wanted to ease into it. I’d love some of those really nice tripods though (lol)
I picked up the carbon fibre version last year for £44: https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/national-geographic-travel-photo-tripod-kit-with-monopod-carbon-fibre-3602503 Really nice and sturdy bit of kit, and is actually manufactured by Manfrotto but rebranded as National Geographic. Not sure if the same also applies to this, but I'm pleased with mine.
Spend as much as possible on a tripod or you will regret it! I like 3 legged thing but Manfrotto are good too so look out for a deal on those. I'd make sure you get a tripod arca swiss plate, most do and buy a L bracket for landscape photography and use 2 second timer.
And wild And would this one be much different?
5DMKII and probably a 70-300 type lens. Maybe 70-200 if I can find a mad deal Legs don’t bother me much, and no head, but these come with a ball mount. Being able to do portrait would nice and it seems like the ball head can do that?

Thanks OP. Got a cheap projector recently and been looking for a cheap stand for it with a 1/4" screw. 11 quids worth a punt. Says its weight capacity is 3-6kg and my projector is only 1.2kg. If no good for my use then the boys will be more than happy to take it off me for their "vlogging" (lol)
yes , its pretty sturdy and heavier than my amazon brand regular tripod . bought this for its low profile and thin structure.
Any idea if these could hold binoculars if got the correct adapter?

I ended up buying this as I needed an arm type. Not much pricier either. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Microphone-Professional-Cardioid-Condenser-Podcasts/dp/B08CMP9XZF/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=Microphone&qid=1617402856&s=musical-instruments&sr=1-4 HUK makes me buy too much stuff :(
I use to have this mic but had to replace it. Condenser mics picks up all of your background noises no matter what it is unless you are in a quite setting. Thats how condenser mics work unfortunately. I got a dynamic mic for my needs. The mic is top notch and whoever buys it will be a happy customer.
My face was designed as a leisure accessory.

And is a joby and a gorilla pod the same thing? (popcorn)
Decent price. It does go down to around £75-80 occasionally. I did own this but sent it back for the smaller one. I just think this 5kg one is a bit of an outlier. If you're using a 5k rig I think you'd be looking at something sturdier than a gorilla pod but to each their own.
One of the only brands thats sturdy and flexible
