Fantastic camera tripod with ball head mount. Cheapest UK seller on Ebay is about £400. Had mine for about a year and paid much much more for it.

Looks very similar to this K&F Tripod and it's £139

I think it’s for the t-2004x not the 2204x

How much??!!11

Manfrotto Befree Carbon Fibre Travel Tripod with Ball Head For £160 on Amazon. alloy clamps, 1.1kg, might be a better option for some.

Does seem to be the lowest price around, I really want to say it’s over priced but I guess the price is the price and if your in the market to spend this then it’s a deal.

It's not the best scope out there, but good value for money. The sky tour remote isn't particularly useful, but good to distract the kids with.

Not bad i’ve used this type which is a Newtonian, mirror on the rear, great for local Solar system, though buying a few decent eyepieces will go along way to improving your experience. Try Plossl 20mm.

It does seem to read that way, but I think it's referring to the light inside the mount to help see the coordinates? It is a bit confusing though, you're right

Listing infers a motorised mount.... which I don't think is true !

Didn't notice the head bundles when I saw this (I've already got a good head, and I don't use Manfrotto's RC2 quick release plates any more so just automatically ignore them), but those are superb prices! The XPRO Ball Head alone is £94.95 on Amazon - the equivalent bundle is £357.85 rather than the £249 on Uttings

surely one of the head options is better for most here an extra 30odd quid gets a ballhead or 3 way

I have this, paid more or less same at Amazon earlier in year. Great tripod for travel

I have the aluminium version of this and it's superb. A real step up in stability over over the usual chinese rubbish.

Not a 'probably'..certainly I wont buy that. You guessed it correct ha ha

That looks quite different from the Asda lamp.

Similar one in aldi for £14.99 on sale in store but still 24.99 online

At a height of 68cm, it’s a pretty big table lamp. Even the customer photo showing it on a set of nest tables, it’s quite a size.

Be aware this is quite small as it's a table lamp not the floor standing version.

Lights , camera and action. Is this stuff not from the Dragons Den set.???

Have you looked at Panasonic LUMIX TZ range? I bought the Mrs the TZ30, which has a 24x Zoom and takes some stella photos (just don’t put the ISO up to high) has built in GPS tagging of the photos (this can lead to quicker battery drain if the camera is left on standbye instead of turned off) the video quality is great too shooting at 1080p 60fps. You can also buy a waterproof housing for them off eBay for a reasonable price to use underwater or just make it more rugged

It all depends on your needs. I’ve got the A6000 and love it. Although to get an equivalent level of zoom will cost a couple of 100£ more. The A6000 is a much batter semi pro/pro camera and takes lovely videos as well as fantastic photos with what was the worlds fastest autofocus system able to take and refocus 11 shots per second. Compared to the 5.9 of the canon it’s no comparison. Just down to how you plan to use the camera and what you expect to achieve out of it. Hope this helps

This might sound as though I’m going off at a bit of a tangent ... but please bear with me ... I bought a GoPro Hero 5 Black thinking that it would be fine for taking the odd video with but mainly to take photographs with - I realise now that it doesn’t really suit my needs. What I do like about it is that it connects to my ‘phone so I can save and send pictures .... I like that it is waterproof (although I have added a waterproof case) but what I can’t really get on with is the size - it’s just too small. Does anyone else have these issues ? Back on track ... is this Canon camera the answer ? How robust is it ? How easy does the Wi-Fi connect to an iPhone to send and save pictures? Does it have GPS so that your pictures are geo-tagged with the location? What’s the battery life like? Any suggestions for the ideal camera with all of those features would be appreciated. Thanks ....

Or a Pana TZ. Sony HX80/90V Good as well.

I use a Leica laser level, fantastic for mid range/top end gear. Not sure how relevant it is to a tripod (I use the amazon basics one, gets great reviews).

But its 4x the price?? Its bound to be. Anyone looking for a budget tri-pod this is a bargain. I have had a Hama tri-pod for over 20 years, only one of the six locking clips has recently failed (I know, it only takes one for the whole stand to be somewhat compromised!) but that has only happened after I foolishly gave the stand to my 3 young daughters who had for some reason really got into making up and filming short Harry Potter stories and recording themselves on an old Panasonic Mini DV Camcorder I gave them. The stand still works, I just have blu-tak wrapped around the faulty clip to hold it in place. If you are just looking for a cheap and cheerful tri-pod for occasional use this would be fine. If you are a serious photographer with a £2k DSLR why are you even looking at this as an surely should be looking at something in the same league as your camera?

Do you have a link please? I'm not seeing that anywhere on Amazon.

Just replaced this Hama with a Velbon ef61. World of difference.

Got this yesterday. Used it as platform to photograph constellations last night. Splendid piece of kit for the money. Much better than the £13.99 48in tripod bought previously, which is now to be returned. Timely post. Thanks.

Cheers, Brilly, I'll ask him more about it when he's on Skype and edit this post.

generally they are a bit optimistic for real usage as the weight will be assumed to be exactly balanced and level over the centre column i see the scope has a tripod collar.. is it adjustable at all to change the position of where it screws into the tripod? does it support it ok when kept level?

I bought (well, boyf did) the 52" version of this for use with a Praktica Spotting Scope but he says he can't secure it properly (it supposedly can handle the weight)? Bit of a long shot, but wondering if anyone has any ideas.

I got the student discount and it came round to be cheap! thanks for the spot :)

This one looks identical to mine. Although I do have a big one, so maybe that's why it broke (embarrassed)

Which one are you talking about? The one from poundland or the one above from Ebay. Today I looked at the one in poundland. It seemed identical to the one I got from Ebay (above) maybe the spring was a little less strong, but I don't know how you managed to break it at first use. (shock)

Not voting hot or cold - I've been looking at the Key Mission 80 for a while but the reviews and the ltd spec (1m waterproof, built in battery, mediocre video) put me off at £239 - but £99 starts to makes it a bit more interesting. But then what more does it do than a good smartphone ?

if splitting hairs then it would be actually called PIXI EVO 2-Section Mini TRIPOD !!!!111!!!11 but anyway its not its called pixi evo... which happens to be a 2 section mini tripod calling it the pixi evo 2 suggests there is a pixi evo 1 which is why its not just splitting hairs

Well if you’re going to split hairs it’s actually called PIXI EVO 2-Section Mini!!

lol is this difficult? there is no evo 2 there is pixi mini and pixi evo funnily enough we know about the pixi mini being in the op and all...

Incorrect, there are some still available, just not many around as I guess people are buying them. There was stock in my local store last night, but they have gone and the nearest to me that now has stock is 60 miles away.

Well, testing myself (which of course I've done - got to know your equipment), I clock in at around 9.2s to extend my clip tripod, and 9.7s to extend my twistlock one. It's a tiny bit slower (at this point, at least - things will speed up as I grow more accustomed to the device), but I'm okay with that because the twists feel nicer on the hand than clips do on the fingertips. Not sure what you mean about 'indeterminate to unlock and tighten', btw. Maybe you should try actually using the thing you're talking about, rather than just hazarding a guess.

I guess yeah you can't see visually if the twists are locked or not. It's a personal thing but in cold weather and a rush I find the twists easier on the hands and fingers and can do them all in one go. It's gonna be a marmite thing but the tripod itself and its versatility is a bonus.

bit confused here, do you not need to tighten them all up separately? on my tripod i can undo all levers at once as well. then when open i move hand down the leg in a straight line squeezing each lever without having to twist etc just know that with twist lock id forget to tighten one as cant immediately see which is tight or not

Don't let @toaster see this (popcorn) :D

Personally I've had a manfrotto with levers for the last year and found it more time consuming outdoors when you're struggling with elements etc. This new twist lock seems a lot easier as when bringing the legs down you can untwist all three points at once with your hand, bit of a time saver for me and feels easier, especially with cold hands 👐

Missed this the first time around and just ordered one this afternoon and just got dispatch notice, very happy, thanks op

Ordered one last night came today! Amazing quality. I truly recommend it. Dont risk your expensive gear with a cheap tripod get one of these. Came with a free pan and tilt head. Superb service from Jessops.

Got one thanks

Regarding the weight, discussed earlier. It's definitely no light weight, but I had it out today strapped to my backpack with camera and 3 lenses. I knew I was carrying something extra, but it wasn't anything over the top. Plus, the extra stability was much appreciated on top of some very windy fells.
