Firestick Trade-in how does price work

I've seen the new firestick is discounted and can get 20% discount on old firesticks I trade in however i need to send in the trade in device first but dont expect price to stay discounted long enough for them to inspect and apply discount.

Does anyone know if the the price for new device will be locked from when you apply for trade-in or whatever the price is after they've inspected the device?

Discount and any giftcard applied on the spot when you start trade-in, send the old device with-in next 3 weeks.

Thanks, just tried it all sorted. It was showing delivery as December 9th but after completing checkout it's now showing delivery as 15-17 Jan 2024! (edited)

You get the discount straight away on the provision you send the firestick within 3 weeks. I waited for mine to come and then sent my old one back in the new packaging

In my experience, Black Friday prices on Amazon devices come back around 2 weeks before Christmas. So even if you have to send in the old device first to get the discount, there is a high probability that you will still be able to use it in a couple of weeks.

What’s needs to be sent back besides the device. I can’t find remote but said I don’t have accessory as part of the trade-in. (edited)
