Plastic Resin Garden Statue - what paint to use?

Posted 25th Feb 2023
We have a large garden statue which is made of a plastic resin type material. Over the years the paint has chipped and its become faded and grubby. We want to bring it back to life and wondered what paint we need to use and whether a varnish is needed to keep the paint looking good?
Thanks

    That is not a statue.

You have a Native American in your garden!

*acrylic paint is best once surface is cleaned and primed. (edited)

Thanks for the reply - is there a recommended brand or type of acrylic paint we should use?

The challenge will be finding all the different shades as there are quite a few different colours on the statue

Loads of paints you can use.

Trick is to clean it well.

There are a number of pre paint cleaning solutions you could use like gloss off crud kutter or HG liquid sander. Seen that in Wickes.

Littlefairs titan clear can be used to protect surface but not sure it's needed (edited)
