Lowest I've ever seen this. I paid £599 back in september and it's a great machine. Tempted to buy another one just because it's such a good price tbh Chrome Unboxed continuously … Read more

Fantastic Chromebook, using my i5 version for several months and it just flies. Got an older Lenovo i7 Thinkpad running Windows 10, and it's so slow and clunky in comparison with poor battery life.

Personally don't see any advantage in a Windows touchscreen and therefore 2 in 1s as well BUT with a Chromebook it's different as it's a decent touch friendly OS. I wasn't sure when I got mine but my daily use is split just about equally between the three modes, I don't count tent as that doesn't have any useful purpose I can see, but traditional clamshell, touchscreen with keyboard under as a stand and full tablet are great and I will even swap between them during a session to suit what I'm doing.

Pity. How do you track their price changes and stock movement? Thanks for the confirmation. (y)

I am not necesarily interested in 2 in 1 touchscreen, in fact, last time I purchased a laptop, I avoided this, as my kids were small and I thought they will mess with my laptop. But lots of people prefer it and we have to admit, that's an extra feature that adds value to a laptop. In between Yoga Slim and this Spin, at the same price, I will definitely go with the Yoga. But this does not means this is not a good deal, this is the cheapest price I ever came across, the specs are quite high for a Chromebook, the look is great, and only by chance you will come across a Win laptop offering the same performance and same features at the same price. But I can see why a Win laptop may appeal more to some, it does appeal more to me too.

I literally want a tablet to read comics and stuff - reckon this would do the trick or would it be sluggish even for that?

Pricklerickle

any recommendations good cheap tablet, 32gb minimum

gogosteve

I have used the Lenovo E7 tablet with same specs, actually quite useable if you don't push it, YouTube, web browsing, it even ran Minecraft on low settings. £30 is amazing for a tablet!

I was just wondering the same! The rooted Fire 7 is bad enough, but just about okay as a music server remote.

hopefully OK as a screen for my dji drone

Welcome to the site mate, not too shabby not to perfect mate. Ryzen 5 3500 is shy in performance that of the X version we all love. the X version is the little dude which came over then the ryzen 3600 went daft, bit of a life saver in fact or retreat to intel!. so it went down a storm. valuation on this cpu is estimated at £110 Easy guide for a competive deal on 1650 is £140 PSU/CASE is coming to around £50s 8GB rams 2666 £28 Dual wifi £20 Windows if we doing a VS to other firms at £89 then we have got to have a min of Ryzen A320 coming in at £45 1TB £35 so coming in at an EST if new competive £500 and we can ignore in this market its a refurb. problem being we had a 5500Gpu + 3200G GPU over CPU then this post at £420 with the same sort basis in all other fields which sold out, then early today had a 1650GPU with a 9100 which in cpu core is under this but at £80 cheaper that is a 60CPU vs 110CPU here which is a gap of £50 vs 80 in true sale volume, hence the loss of heat in this regards, its too soon since them deal. so even if this gets downvoted, dont worry, who cares its still a deal worth sharing now today VS the P/take firms out their.

This is interesting. I've had a Z35P coming up on two years now and I never really got 100% on board with it. I was ever a fan of curved displays, regardless of size, nor am I keen on the VA panel. Overall the Z35P is decent for gaming with only the slightest of black smearing when I'm looking for it. However, it is in day to day desktop use that the VA drawbacks are noticeable - average colour reproduction, pretty severe gamma shift off angle and general ghosting when dragging windows around. The Z35P also maxes out at 50hz (full resolution) when using the HDMI which is a bit of a pain. I had been looking for IPS alternatives although was actually looking at 32 inch 16:9 monitors but this one may just be the answer... Not a deal breaker but does anyone know if this is G-Sync compatible?

prq

They do, but as I said, double the price or more. You have the Dell Alienware AW3420, the Acer Predator X35 or the X34P, there's a few Asus and LG as well.

kyeung

You may have a point there. You know what, I don't think I've even seen an IPS 34 inch 1440p that is curved. do they exist? Mostly VA panels I've seen even the G9 is VA I believe.

Josh_millen

247 nits peak brightness Nope lol

prq

Sure, but then you're paying double the price
