What's the coating like on this? Some reviews say grainy but others don't mention it? Torn between this or just saving up and getting the Swift IPS one..but it's double the price

Cheep nasty tat. My toaster has more power than this
Intel pentium? Lol this is 2019
I own a Chromebook with that CPU. It's fine on the lightweight Chrome OS, but I wouldn't like it on the bloated Windows 10. Cold for me.
You can look through pcpartpicker. Here is the search i did yo get the 1440p 144hz monitors Click Me
The one you put in the link? Are there any others you can suggests or shall i go with the Samsung? Thanks.
If your using a 2060 you should be looking at a 1440p 144hz monitor then you will get the most from that card :)
Just a PC with a GTX 2060 card
Yes, consoles only have 60hz max for games, I know the one X has 120hz but nothing uses it so to get a 144hz monitor for that is a pointless waste of money.
Wish I'd waited! Bought an iiyama 27" 144hz monitor
Where did you find that information please? Ok ..I found it :) https://www.techpowerup.com/254734/nvidia-adding-7-g-sync-compatible-monitors-to-its-listing-on-april-23rd
Also will be added to gsync compatibility list with new upcoming drivers on 23rd.
Why does every laptop I look at on this website either have a catch to it or sell out? ;(
Oh man, you just embarrassed yourself in public.
Ridiculous spec. They must be looking to dump those (not very suprerior over i5 performance) I7 chips. Bit like having a Ferrari engine in a Morris Minor running on 4 flat tyres.
Agreed, the vast majority would be better served by an i5 8250u, Full HD screen and SSD. I wouldn't rush out and buy this model just to get an i7 badge.
The U-series i7s aren't significantly better than the i5s: https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i7-8550U-vs-Intel-Core-i5-8265U/m320742vsm566107
Just like others have said, not 1080p. Everything else is "Look, my new phone has 4k/ Quad HD/ 8k and Eastenders on my 6 inch screen looks amazing! I also need a new laptop, so reading pages of text on a 15.6 inch screen with 768 pixels will be fine" Is it just us who INSIST in Hull HD? I would understand it in a budget laptop, but do you really need to spend £600 on an identical spec laptop JUST for the screen upgrade?
I have a SSD in my work laptop and a HDD in my 5 yrs old personal laptop. There is no way I will buy a new one now without a SSD.
Not with a 1TB mechanical drive... It's 2019, that will be s very frustrating experience even with an 8th gen i5.
It was standard 16:9 ratio resolution for years but i still prefere my old ThinkPad that was 1280x800. 800 lines was way more sharp comparing to 768p
Weird resolution screen
Anybody comment of Ebuyer experience?
Should add more item to title.
I personally wouldn't even buy anything with reported image retention. In my experience I always get the bad units (lol) ;(
Just need to be aware of the possible image retention issue. Several reviews comment on it. Great price for a big monitor though!
what makes this so special
Does this have thunderbolt 3 USB c ? Looking for something to also charge my Dell XPS 15 laptop and also display extern screen all with one cable
No biggie :)
I stand corrected
No cq32g1 is 1440p and supports both freesync and gsync.
Think there was only a few left so they got snapped up quick :)
Already out of stock.
Out of stock 😔
Fair question. No is my view as Argos aren't in the select list of sellers. If they were, this would have gone up to £499! :)
Can you apply the 10% off to this on eBay?
2 years all electricals :)
It says 2 years I believe
what is the warranty for this item
Didn't last long. Showing as £129.99 (annoyed)
75Hz isn't much of a gaming monitor. But that price is excellent
Only problem is this laptop configuration is not well balanced even with 16GB SDRAM and SSD. The CPU is lacking compared to the other features of the laptop (presumably to keep the cost down), should have included at least an i7 8th generation to keep up with the GPU. The GTX 1080 would be sleeping through whilst the CPU in this laptop configuration would be screaming for it's life.
Touch pad above keyboard on gorilla glass with no button layout. Your finger will get toastie. Older cpu. Nice graphics card.
I stand corrected, will amend in title:)
Click on the features there
looks nice - going to look for change down the back of the sofa - fingers crossed!
I think you're better off getting a nice 60Hz IPS monitor for console gaming. Can easily get one around this price or cheaper.
No Display Port! Incorrect Info, Pls correct me if am wrong, my German is pretty bad. :|
These top notch for an xbox or aimed more at PC gaming?
The panel it's using (M240HW01 v8) is decent for TN 144Hz 1080p <£220 standards, and there are many popular monitors using the same panel (XG2401/2, XL2411P, etc.). It's a terrible monitor for other reasons. Reasons why it sucks: - Lacks 144Hz over HDMI or a DisplayPort (which is needed by newer graphics cards). - It has excessively obvious overshoot ghosting (not fixable). - PWM is used to dim the backlight (further negatively contributing to the overall motion blur), which causes a potentially noticeable flicker and is generally unpleasant (regardless of being noticeable). - Terrible image quality (relative to alternatives using the panel, such as the VX2458-mhd or XG2401). There is absolutely no reason to consider the GN246HL, especially considering far superior monitors are only £20-60 more.
That will be due to the cheap TN panel. If you have any appreciation for your computer (and your eyes) you would look at VA or IPS panels instead - don't be fooled by the cheap price.
Please avoid this monitor. Even for £140 this is extremely overpriced and a terrible monitor. It flickers (PWM), has terrible image quality, awful blur, etc.
I bought this last year. Interface isn't very nice. But the refresh rate more than makes up for it. Pretty sure this is easily the best and cheapest 144hz monitor you can buy. Be warned using a monitor that's not 144 (especially if you're gaming) will feel horrible.
I bought this OVER 3 YEARS AGO for £170 so its not exactly deal of the century.
Well, it's not illegal...
Lollipop? It that even legal?
Sorry, cold from me. A tablet that is stuck on a very old version of android with no ota updates. It's also running on a pretty poor 4 year old processor and is quite badly reviewed from what I've seen. If u do want it, it's also cheaper here but I'd look elsewhere. https://www.studentcomputers.co.uk/Acer-Iconia-One-8-Tablet-Blue-B1-850-16-_1499186.html?gclid=Cj0KCQjwtMvlBRDmARIsAEoQ8zTOx3KWtR00U5KODRI9xqz35TcYqkHeUx3MTMY36ckBscaWQbJw3RUaAouSEALw_wcB
Your Amazon link reveals a used good condition with free delivery available from a third party seller for a mere £39 though with a USB lead only (no charger). Just an alternative deal and others available there too. Not knocking your deal, and heat given.
Heat from me Anna. That's 2 good tablet deals you've posted.

What's Grade B going to be like?. Minor scratches on body, and/or on glass?. Deeeeeeep dents on body, and/or sign's of it being dropped, etc?. Chipped/cracked glass too?, or ... Just curious?. :-)
Yes as well.
Cheers pal; I bought it in the end and it got delivered yesterday. Haven’t used it much yet but it definitely looks the part!
I have this Asus laptop, no complaints at all and for that price it's certainly worth it.
I have this laptop. Make sure you buy an m2 SSD to go inside it. With the ssd mine is more than good enough.
I just got an https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07HH6T3P4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 from warehouse... is like new .. for 650... which one is better? should i return it and get this one or the Asus is way better?
Cheers bud! I think it might be the Asus for me. Most games I’d want to play will work on anything to be honest, I’m more console nowadays for that. My current laptop is ridiculously old and it’s painful to use. So I’m after any upgrade but don’t want to be in a position of missing out on a game that I might want to play on Windows, therefore I’m after a gaming laptop just in case... Never bought a laptop before, always acquired them (sounds like I steal, but they just appear) 😄 I used to be more about building PCs and I was all AMD but it’s been a looking time, so no idea what I’m looking at anymore!
Picked this model up a couple of weeks back in white. It's nice and small and light, but the lack of RAM and poor cpu give a poor experience imo. I also have an Asus c301s with 4GB RAM and the quad core n3160 cpu which to seems a lot slicker. BTW, to save Sam the effort, no touch screen which means Android apps will provide a poor experience or something. It's lighter though as a consequence.
OOS, please expire.
