All Bowmore Discounts, Offers and Sale - August 2020
I've checked. Yes, tastes like Listerine, chucked out.
I have bought for 26 and I was happy. Now I bought for 20.70 and im super happy. One of my favourite. You pour and you let it breathe for a few minutes. It ain't Jack, don't drink right away
(y) you're not wrong.
Bowmore do too many whiskies, and quite a few are hard to tell apart.
Not bad but tends to be £25 most of the year on Amazon - good price for a 12yo single malt but it's not my favourite.
Decent enough whisky but have seen it cheaper.
A couple of the prices still remain, but most have went up :) Expired.
Not sure why this is Expired, the prices are still Live. I assume they'll change at midnight.
Added the Morrisons online links above, too. Here's one I don't recall seeing in store: Jim Beam Double Oak 70cl, £20 (was £27) https://groceries.morrisons.com/products/jim-beam-double-oak-342811011 (Same price at Waitrose and Asda, though)
Here's some from about half an hour ago, same store. Sailor Jerry 70cl for £14 isn't too bad (though that's not a bourbon). Jack Daniels Tennessee Fire 70cl, £18 (was £25) https://groceries.morrisons.com/products/jack-daniels-tennessee-fire-327643011 Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey 70cl, £18 (was £25) https://groceries.morrisons.com/products/jack-daniel-s-tennessee-honey-whiskey-119491011 Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey 1 Litre, £20 (was £32) https://groceries.morrisons.com/products/jack-daniel-s-tennessee-honey-498583011Jim Beam Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey 1 Litre, £20 (was £23) https://groceries.morrisons.com/products/jim-beam-white-label-bourbon-355273011Jack Daniel's Gentleman Jack 70cl, £26 (was £33) https://groceries.morrisons.com/products/gentleman-jack-whiskey-217559011Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum 70cl, £14 (was £21) https://groceries.morrisons.com/products/sailor-jerry-spiced-rum-119527011*Added info after I'd had dinner - can see there's an ongoing Deal post for Sailor Jerry from Morrisons.
Unless you are accusing them of not being candid or pretending to be ignorant, both of which seems uncalled for, then it's wrong to say that was disingenuous. I also don't see how turning it into 35p a measure turns it on its head, clearly some people don't feel it is worth spending the extra £5 whether you cal it 25% or 35p a measure so they hardly seem opposed.
Only recently realised that Loch Fyne and The whisky shop have same owners...bit annoying one has free delivery the other doesn’t Passion for Whisky ( Holland) have a cask strength Glen Grant 15 year old litre for £53 ( travel edition obviously) that looks tempting
Cool, thanks (y)
Good find. I have a (More regular) unopened Oban waiting but limiting myself to weekends only and having a different drink each weekend. Think I've got 5 different open at the moment so should last a good while. (y) Loch Fyne is an excellent shop too.
Good price that... Bought too much lately but currently got Oban Distillers 2003 in basket (£40 quid with 10% applied..from £80 The whisky shop ) as well as Glen Scotia 15 from Loch Fyne £48 with discount. Both baskets got the a Benriach sherry wood 12 just buying too much and trying to resist
This is an excellent and complex whisky, far better than the 12yr old and better than the 18yr old, usually sells around the £55-60 mark. An excellent buy for £39.99.
Weird, I get no price listed under "one time purchase" just £57.13 / l, so I mistakenly thought it was a £57 listing. That's really confusing!
That's the per litre price.
Or you can just click the "one time purchase" button right above the "subscribe & save" one?
Just remember folks, amazon are now pulling this subscribe & Save listing crap to try to coax people into purchasing full priced products later down the line, but you can circumvent this by clicing on the "new" hyperlink in the product description to go to their sellers listing page, where you will find the amazon listing with an "add to cart" option at the subscribe & save price.. but no subscribe and save necessary. As for Bowmore 15? If it wasn't for the age statement I would argue it's overpriced even at £40 tbh, it's no better than the 12yr, and not even close to being up to Lagavulin 16yr standard (which is a cheaper dram). £40 is a cracking price though if you want to try it, so not sure why it's so cold. Here's an example
This is great for £25, always grab this and Talisker 10 when they're reduced.
Just ordered, heat added.
This is certainly a very decent glug. Still have a couple in but the wallets calling me already!
Best whisky you can buy when this hits the £25 mark.
Thank you, I really really do appreciate it!!!
I'd say the Balvenie is a good bet. Also you could note that a number of Tesco stores have been discounting their 18year old Glenfiddich to as low as £35 in quite a few stores (see https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/glenfiddich-18yr-old-instore-deal-3458597#comment-40743219) If you can find one at this price it's a bargain (essentially 50% off) so would be a big treat for a Fiddich fan :) but only if you can find it!
Thank you so much! I know he likes Glenfiddich and laphroaig. I bought him Nikka from the barrel last year and he said he liked it. He didn’t really rate the Glenmorangie 10
Well this is very subjective of course. Do you know what he drinks? Or if he likes smokey/peaty flavours? A favorite in that price range that most would be a fan of would be the Balvenie double wood and is currently a very good price at amazon (normally doesn't move much below £39-40) https://www.amazon.co.uk/Balvenie-Double-Single-Scotch-Whisky/dp/B015KXE3UO
Hello, I hope you don’t mind me asking, I’m looking for a decent whisky for a gift for my dad around £30/£40 what would you suggest?
My local Tesco had this one at £25 and Cardhu for £26 and Jura for £22
Would say add it to the online order..... no delivery slots round here for the next 3 weeks!!
Same in Tescos if you wanna risk it
This one is smoky and peaty in just right amount. Don't mix it up with anything or add ice. If you want to do it then buy jack or the bird
Laphroaig is not what I want in a whisky but good price as well. This one is a great whisky but my favourite is the Bowmore Darkest.
Agreed... thanks for the Laphroaig 10 post... Got that too (y)
As I posted on the Laphroaig deal, this is much better value for £2 less (would be at the same price) but that's gone hot and this cold?!? Maybe from people who have tried Bowmore No1, that stuff shouldn't be allowed to be called Islay Whisky.
That's what I thought... If it's not a good deal don't be afraid to say so. If the whisky is not to your liking, move along.
Why this one goes cold? Good price, good whisky
This for me as well, this one in particular tastes watered down to me (not always the case with a 40%abv). It's still a decent price though and will be fine for a lot of people.
Bowmore have some lovely malts but this isn't one of them.
It a good cheap intro to Islay malts, but i have gone right off Bowmore recently. They dont help themselves by having too many expressions most of which are only 40% ABV, heavily chill filtered and artificial colour added.
This is often around the £20 mark in supermarkets. Also not very good imo
Offensive and immature XD Definitely new ones there for cold votes.
Good reduction on the rrp, particularly considering that for whisky beyond the lower end rarely this happens. However, this got a terrible review on Whiskyfun (which is still one person's opinion). So if you have not been able to try it, it might not be worth the risk. I have the other two in this series (18 and 27), which are both lovely, but have been in different type of casks to this one.
Good deal nice dram (y)
It is a great price for retail, about the same as can be had an an auction minus all the hassle. Sorry it has gone cold, it appears everyone expects either free or cheap items from this site. Not everyone who is wanting to save money is living on the breadline. If you can't afford it, or don't understand the value of an item, DON'T VOTE. It's offensive and just immature.
I know and you might see that I haven't voted either way!
Currently £25 at Tesco...still a good deal as it’s delivered for free and 1p cheaper!
I’d go for the Chivas Regal for £20 over this personally. Much better in my opinion
This is the average price. Not a deal
I know it's the lowest price but this stuff is not good. Bowmore 12 year old is currently £24.99 on Amazon and is so much better. Get that instead.
Mods Please could the piccy at top of post please be amended. I have no idea why a Kindle Paperwhite is showing.
£25 is all I’d pay...I’m a huge Islay fan but Bowburn is a bit meh !
Not sure tbh as I have never had Bowmore so do not track it's prices. Looks like it's quite regularly £24/25 though. Feel free to pop it up if you like.
Has anyone posted this deal? It was £25 on Amazon a month ago when I stocked up then the price went back up...lovely stuff if you like Islay whisky.
Very true. Shall edit my comment.
Should be the same price without prime
Standard price now. I posted this a few weeks back
Same at Leicester. Stored in the locker and not on the shelves. Picked myself up a few bottles.
I’ve just been to Chester Costco. They now have 22 left in stock after my purchase. However...you have to tell them the product code 278118 and tell them they are in the locker opposite the tills. (y) 🏻
I wish my wife worked like that
True though...but you crack on paying for caramel and chill filtration More of the better stuff for me
Wasn’t intended to be pretentious in any way. I’ve always thought each offering from a distillery can be referred to as an expression. Maybe I was wrong (confused)
Just a bit pretentious to call a £20 bottle of NAS whisky an "expression"?
This bottling has been around for a number of years now - although it's NAS, it's significantly better than the awful Bowmore Legend or Bowmore No.1. I had a bottle a while ago and remember enjoying it; it's only bourbon matured (rather than the usual sherry influence Bowmore has) meaning that it is lighter and less sweet. Certainly worth £19!
Wrong term? Enlighten me Crispy
Dont forget guys you now need driving licence or passport ID to sign for this now as i found out on Saturday when driver would not give me whisky without ID ever oh are 38 Amazon new rules
Don't think I have ever seen it as low as £20 but definitely drops to £24-25 now and again.
Didnt get on with the three standard Woodford but do like bullet, if you post a link to glen scotia for twenty I’m stocking up!
Saw this at £20.00 at a Tesco Bradford. Pretty sure its a national offer.
Standard old fashioned typically uses bourbon or rye whiskey rather than malt - would recommend Bulleit (£22 at Sainsbury at the moment) or Woodford when on offer. There are some great single malt and blended whiskies at the £20ish mark (Ardmore, Glen Scotia, Johnnie Walker etc) - This just feels like Bowmore using their name to sell a poor product.
Not online, and I've checked lots of cities. Actual current cost is £37
Nor in all stores - suspect online only if local store stocks it. Hot for those that do!
