Just checked and the offer is still ongoing on Amazon. Heat added! Same price currently at Asda: https://groceries.asda.com/product/scotch-malt-whisky/bowmore-no-1-single-malt-scotch-whisky/1000013651900 (highfive)
I’d spend the extra £5 and get the 12yo. No 1 isn’t that great in comparison. 12yo is always on offer so can pick it up relatively cheap
That's worth posting. The 12yo is also £25 on Amazon FRESH but I haven't done the direct comparison. From memory, there's not a lot between them.
Don't know how it compares, but as an FYI, the Bowmore 12 is £25 at Tesco at the moment, reduced from £40 https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/251552394

Shame it’s impossible to get hold of springbank…..
Save your money and buy better tasting whisky. Slightly more than this but I opened a bottle of Springbank 12 year old Cask Strength on Friday and it's incredible.
Agreed. Thought it was me, but opened a bottle and was very disappointed, an acrid taste compared to what I'd tried before (older opened bottle). Ignored it at the back of the cupboard, then decided to try it again and so much better!
You lucky so and so! Thanks for the tip. So often I see whisky reviewers crack open the bottle, pour out a dram, and base their opinion on that first taste. Will make sure to hang on to this one for a while, now.
You see that CCC drop back in 2014 to £26.88...I managed to get 4 bottles then thanks to this site :D Great scotch this benefits from being open for 3 or so months in my opinion. good price.
Yes, added heat for the price but no use being a bargain if it's not much good. I love Ardbeg, Lagavulin and Bunnahabhain but so far less keen on Bowmore (admittedly I've only tried their 12yo and No.1).
I wasn't blown away by the 12 either. On that basis, I'd be unwilling to try the 15, even at £38 on Amazon with 5% subscribe and save discount. I've not yet read a bad review for the Ardbeg 10, which is currently available for £37 at Tesco, Sainsbury's and Amazon. I tried it at the weekend with a bit of ice and I thoroughly enjoyed it (I was less keen when I tried it neat, but each to their own). For those who haven't tried the Bowmore 15 or the Ardbeg 10, I'm guessing most would be happier with the latter at pretty much the same price.
Seems to regularly bounce back to £40.04, S&S basket already pretty full, will wait til next time
Ah right (lol) . A 15yr old Bowmore Islay Single Malt for £40 is a bargain if you like the 12yr Old or not.
but timothy DOESN'T like the 12yr old...?

Bowmore 12 Year Old Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky 70Cl - Smoky £25 Clubcard (+ Delivery Charges / Minimum Spend Applies) @ Tesco£25Tesco Deals
Lovely whisky at a good price. £25 with Tesco Club card
https://malt-review.com/2020/11/30/ben-bracken-16-year-old-rare-islay-single-malt-scotch-whisky/ It was in the review above, if you go to the comments the reviewer mentions he has it on good authority that it's Bowmore.
Maybe is a little bit strong for me, but it's really good for single malt at this price.
Aged always worth a taste hotted
70cl, not 75cl.
I did think it could be a Bowmore when I first tried it, but in the end, i thought it tasted a bit more like Lagavulin 16. Have you got more information on the Lidl Islay 16? would love to actually know

Decent every day drinker at this price if you like the Bowmore style.
Nice whiskey, this is the price when it's on offer in the supermarkets too, but it's rare! This is a good price... .must hold off as I got 10 to drink up of other ones still!
I have been to Bowmore... Lovely place facing the Ocean... Has got a strange looking round church.. Apparently so demons can't hide in the corners... That's what they told me.... Adds nothing to this whisky thread... But hey-ho. 🥃
Nice try! My pointer did actually head for the button there!
Ha ha. You're welcome. You should probably pick up the 12 too ;) .

Bowmore 15 Year Old - £39.99 @ Amazon£39.99£5223% off Free P&P FreeAmazon Deals
New one to me (shamefully the only distillery I missed when I visited Islay). Good value 15 year whisky even at full price and has been dropping to this price every 6 months or so… Read more
I hear you on the colour and chill filtration, I nearly mentioned it in the description but thought it was a bit geeky for my first deal post. That and the % alcohol being a few degrees too low are the key points some reviews (ralfy & serge are my go to) make which stops this from being a really epic dram. Such bottles are available from Bowmore but you're not going to see them under £40 (google the 2019 Bowmore feis ile 15 yr old).
Not a great whisky imo. Bear in mind this has added colour and is chill filtered.
Thanks for your input I'd recommend trying the Dalwhinnie 15 that's been posted here recently before you resort to monkey urine, but as you say each their own. 🙊🍆💦
Ordered - Father-in-laws favourite Great Price
Tastes like medicated ammonia. Would rather drink monkey urine. But each to their own.

Bowmore Malt Whisky 12 Year Old, 70 cl 40% ABV - £24.99 @ Amazon Prime Exclusive£24.99£2811% offAmazon Deals
Bowmore 12 as described by the distillers themselves would have you believe in puffs of peat smoke and pools of honey, sharpened by lemon zest. In reality it's a fine example but n… Read more
I like this stuff. This and Talisker are my go to, nothing special whiskeys.
Yeah it’s the best price for it so worth posting the deal when it comes up; I didn’t vote either way.
This isn't something I would drink myself, as I am not really a fan of the smoky/peaty smell/taste, but thought it was a good price based on the fact the majority are priced at £30. But always glad to have feedback on how good it is or not (y) . Absolutely, when they are on special at £25, why not get the 12yr old, sounds like a plan (highfive)
If you want an NAS Islay on the cheap get Lidl for £17.50 and as good as this, or Ardmore legacy for £20 (not Islay but smoky/peaty background). Also agree their legacy and 12YO when at £25 is far better than this.
Had this for £20 shipped from a Amazon a few months back. In all honesty, I'd pass.
