£38.21 on ss for the 1738 accord would be a better value in my opinion. Both are sitting in my basket as I can't decide. I'm just playing myself though as I know after a couple of drinks tonight I'll buy both :)
Not a great deal but reasonable. I'd bite at around £25
Beautiful Brandy, Handy for Monday...
Just noticed this myself. A lovely VSOP and fine for everyday drinking. Worth £30... Same in Sainsbury's also. Hot from me.
Never miss a 'Cognac' deal again!

Yeah, any old brandy for breakfast. 3 barrels all the way (lol)
As opposed to breakfast brandy.
Exactly. Buy it and if you like it, great, if not, use it in coffee, cocktails, cooking, whatever (y) My local Costco in Croydon only had it in for December and it sold out pretty quick. Hopefully yours will have it still.
I generally drink Tesco Finest XO, switching to the hennessy xo on other occasions, usually both warmed through nicely. Courvosier for me leaves a powdery after taste & I avoid it for that reason. Might give the Kirkland a go, could always use it in coffee if I'm not a fan.
We’ve had Hennessy XO and Courvoisier XO in the past (bought at Heathrow Duty Free on offer so they were about half of the price of this deal). I’d say the Kirkland is as good as the Courvoisier and about 95% of the Hennessy (so you can tell which I preferred!) But once you take into account the price to buy, the Kirkland wins hands down. It’s a no brainer Buy a bottle, stick in a decanter and people you give it to will have no idea it isn’t one of the big brands that cost £100+

Saw this on Amazon for £34.99 delivered I think the box is slightly different but same product and two glasses.
Wish it's xo excellence...
You're better off getting the bottle by itself and buying a quality set of glasses like Dartington Crystal It's the same price I bought mine for £12 in 2018 but currently on for £18 at Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dartington-Crystal-Brandy-Glass-610ml/dp/B00UJVO6TG/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=dartington+brandy&qid=1607980802&refinements=p_76:419158031&rnid=419157031&rps=1&sprefix=dartington+br&sr=8-1
Sorry, can't vote hot for deal, the glasses (although branded) don't look good enough to justify the extra cost against the bottle alone.. shame, nice tipple!
Not great I’ve got a few from past gift sets. However with proper care they shouldn’t shatter in your hand (lol)

I am currently alternating between this and Martell Red barrel VSOP. There isn’t much between them quality wise, both are very good. RM1738 has been this price for ages, it would have been a much better buy at £32 or less, but, considering that there have not been many decent offers on cognac drinks in the past few months, l would purchase it at this price as it’s still good value for money. A few other good options might also be: Baron Otard VSOP for £36 (S&S option) here 12 Year Old, Metaxa The Original Greek Spirit for £25 here Janneau Brandy Armagnac VSOP £29.66 (S&S option) here Remy Martin VSOP £27.99 here I am opening a Martell XO bottle next week - does anyone know whether this will be a significant betterment in taste to RM1738? Thanks
as above paid 31.99 last xmas for this was okay. a bit harsh maybe. would take the plunge at same as last year, but otherwise willl get somehing else
I'm like hey, wassup, hello...
Got it last year for around £30
Yeah this has stubbornly remained the same price for a while as I’ve had it in my watch list for my dad’s Christmas present. Got him it last year for around the £32 mark but no discounts this year :( still, it’s his favourite tipple so worth it
Crazy price considering, can get some great armagnac at this price point Baron De Sigognac 10 yr old for example
Going off the price slightly better than VSOP
Courvoisier®, the UK’s number 1 cognac and the Most Awarded Cognac House*, has announced the launch of DE LUXE – a new limited-edition liquid that is available exclusively in store and online at Tesco now. Available for £40 RRP, DE LUXE, was first matured in French Limousin oak barrels before then finishing its maturation in a special selection of new casks made with fine grain oak trees, adding an extra layer of character. This second maturation contributes to a woodier product which adds new layers of depth and intensity – combining rich and complex notes of vanilla, dried fruits, sandalwood and leather for a truly sophisticated finish. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/thewhiskyphiles.com/2020/09/29/courvoisier-introduces-new-limited-edition-cognac-to-its-esteemed-portfolio/amp/
Technically none of them. It's listed on the label as "de luxe limited edition" which means nothing of course....
Think soprano means that some may consider it a good offer and others don't, the short date being a reason why some may not consider it a good deal. I posted this as I have ordered and had these previously and shared the offer as I think it's a good deal, if others don't think so that's ok, that's what this site is for.
Vary/different means the same thing to most people!(clearly not yourself!)
What opinions are varied? (confused)
It's all about varying opinions on here! ... there is a reason they are reduced!

Thanks for posting. I've purchased a bottle for a projected Birthday and Christmas drowning my sorrows alone. I'll buy another in the new year to celebrate when we can all socialise again!
Heat given, totally about value not price here and this is a lovely drop for such a good price. Might just go ahead and treat myself (despite buying two bottles of Remy Martin VSOP in Costco on Tuesday).
