Have you tried Bourjois Smoky Stories Eyeshadow Palette Grey & Night. One of the grey colours may be similar to your discontinued favourite. It is so annoying when you find something you love, and they stop selling it in the UK.

In case anyone's wondering about the Rimmel ScandalEyes Liquid Eyeliner, it's actually a pen, not a brush (my favourite way to apply liquid eyeliner). Possibly similar Soap & Glory's Supercat, which I quite like.

I did stockpile Constance Carroll/Collection 2000 loose powder from an ebayer who was selling in bulk years ago. Suppose watching job lots/bulk listings on ebay is your best bet for discontinued makeup. My most recent bulk buy was Neutrogena Facial Cleansing Bar (imported), which I ruddy love but hasn't been on sale in the UK for years. Neutrogena Clarifying Shampoo is fantastic too (another one we can't purchase in the UK any more).

I know what you mean about cosmetics "disappearing" from sale. I've used Bourgeois little pot eyeshadow in Argent for years. You can still get most colours on Ebay for decent price (around £3-£4),but Argent (shiny mid-grey) is a ridiculous price like £12, if at all! (confused) How on earth does that happen? Been monitoring situation for ages (annoyed)

Also makeup related, but not Poundland - this is probably the best price I've seen for this in a while - we get ripped off for Coty Airspun as it's not sold in the UK. £8.68 + Free Delivery, Coty Airspun Loose Powder in Translucent (huge 65g pot, so lasts for ages). Suits my pale skin fine, only downside is its fragrance, which isn't great). Rosey Beige is £7.21 + Free Delivery! Naturally Neutral is £8.41 + Free Delivery (this shade actually looks lighter than Translucent! may give this a go) I had a bit of a grumble about loose powder a few days ago.

Finish Powerball All in 1 Max Lemon 80pk £5 instore at Asda Leicester

80pk for £5 reduced from £10. Good price at 6.3 per tablet. Asda Leicester Fosse Park.

I got a 64 pack of the lemon quantam tablets for £5 yesterday. Guessing they are changing packing/pack size??

I've used these for years and never had a problem, maybe it is different water hardness. Thanks op, heat added, I will need some of these soon as I'm running low on them.

Yes I have these and they’re poo (poo) as some tablets completely dissolve but leave chalk like stains behind. And then sometimes the red power ball doesn’t dissolve either way you have dirty dishes and have to wash again. You never have a problem with fairy tabs!!

only dishwasher tablets that have ever left dirty dishes in our dishwasher, Finish told us to use two tablets :( others have said the same on other threads on here. Not voting either way but wont be buying them, did get a tenners worth of vouchers to use on other things though.

I think because many people bought it cheaper brand new. IMO fair price for refurb should be close to £45.

Finish All-in-1 Max Powerball 160 (2x80) tabs - £15.58 (£12.99+VAT) @ Costco instore
LocalLocalFound 1st MarFound 1st Mar
Spotted this deal in the upcoming Costco member offers for 4-17 March. Works out at slightly less than the magic 10p/tab.

Been using these for a few months haven't had any issues 😁

Thanks, not tried these ones as I'm still working through a load of Fairy ones I got from Amazon a while ago. Was tempted to pick these up for the price but will keep an eye out for Fairy ones in HB/B&M as you suggest.

These are rubbish save your money, only tablets that don’t clean all the dishes, Finish suggested using two tablets. Plenty of smiliar comments on other threads, we ended up passing ours to two friends who both had issues and they ended up in the bin, Finish were good though gave us some vouchers for the inconvenience luckily they sell other items as well. You can always get Fairy any if theirs including the platinum ones for less than 10p at Home Bargains or B&M.

Yeah I’m 37 now I had it a year ago. Woke up and couldn’t talk and my leg was numb. Could not shallow water. My face was all droopy at one side including my smile. I was more worried about my 13 year old because he was going in for major surgery and I was worried it would upset him. My 10 year old got a fright. I know I’m extremely lucky but in the inside my brain does not feel the same. I keep walking into walls, trees. In the supermarket people must wonder what planet in on because I cannot do anything numeric so at the till I always get muddled with money and lose my card, these is always someone with me because I take major allergic reaction to some things like certain perfume so that helps having someone there. The thing that gets me is the fact that I’m young and had a stroke and they don’t believe me I walk with a stick now but when I go to any hospital appointment with my son and have to give his date of birth I get it wrong even if I read out the numbers and every nurse, receptionist seems to find it funny. It’s like ha ha so your son is four I say no I’ve had a stroke sorry and they they laugh again and my husband steps in and helps me. Sorry I’ve just released I told you my life story. I hope you father in law does better soon it must be really scary for him. The stress on the family is hard we go to the carers centre and they help us fill out paperwork but most of all they know all your rights for what help you could end with you father in law I don’t know if you use them but bear it in mind if you need any help/advice xxx

Did you really have a stroke, if so, I'm sorry to hear that, my father in law has had a few and it is the most difficult and frustrating time for all of us.

Im glad you told me because I want to know if I make mistakes one day I will make none (hopefully). I knew you were joking. I don’t think I will eat one. I don’t want to really find out x

I was just joking, I knew what you meant. P.S. You'll have more than a stroke if you taste these things!!

Sorry I had a Stroke I make mistakes now. Thanks for pointing it out x

Finish Dishwasher Tablets, All in 1 Max Original, 80-Count £6.50 / £5.53 (15% S&S) @ Amazon

80 pack of Finish Powerball Max - £6.50 delivered with prime, 15% S&S discount will bring these down to £5.53. Not bad, I'd say.

Just had the dispatch notification for 4 packets (y) cheers -

What are the tablets wrapped in? Dissolving wrapper or one you bin?

Thank you both @andyperkins1971 @grex9101 - in a mega hard water area but I’m fitting a softener before we move in. We’ll give them a go then (y)

Agree with Grex, Fairy Platinum by far the best, particularly for those lasagne and the like dishes!

Try these. They're significantly less than 10p a tablet, and from a "leading" brand. I suspect your water hardness will play a part in their efficacy. Otherwise, most folks, including myself, would recommend fairy platinum.

Question mark question mark. Sounds like you're not too sure.

?? I do know what I am talking about, its my dishwasher ??????

You don't know what you're talking about, yet you're still spouting on. If you don't need the product the world doesn't need your comment. Simples

No idea what any of that means but there is nothing wrong with my 8 year old dishwasher ?

Good luck servicing your dishwasher. Read the "all-in-one" packets and you should be able to see the aio action tablet doesn't quite substitute the two other chemicals required for a well operating machine. Fairy liquid is always on some sort of offer, if you ever get caught short and a PowerBall doesn't cut the mustard for ya.

No way would I use two to be honest they went in the bin after us, and two lots of friends used them.

Thanks Ill steer clear of them.

I used to use lidl's until they changed the formulation, before that they were next best to fairy platinum. Aldi's original (non-lemon) all in one magnum are very good. Tend to attack aluminium though.

One for 7.99 is better value as it is less wasted money when thrown in the bin after a few uses!

I'd advise against using two of these classic tablets, one leaves grey tablet residue stuck to the washing up, two left my stainless steel pans plastered in loads of residue in my experience. I've not had that problem with any of the other varieties of Finish tablets, only Classic.

It’s and affordable decent malt. Just finishing my previous one. Well worth the price.

Most single Malt whisky is from either re-used Sherry or Bourbon casks. Also Port, Wine, Ale and Rum cask whiskies can be had, as well as Virgin casks. This is finished in Sherry casks, meaning a lot of the maturation was probably done in what ever the white oak casks it mentions used to hold (Bourbon or American whiskey most likely)

This is a nice slurp, good choice at that price.

Sherry cask whisky ? Sounds interesting.
