i had the email for a free one as well, prefer a free pastie, i will not redeem the free coke though...nasty

Mine (newly installed) has 2 rewards, the Coke and a free coffee, just collected both, nice freebie

Got mine

My app (that I've only ever used for freebies) just got it this morning.

You could carry a refillable cup, and get 20p off your coffee in Greggs. Use the app as well, and you also get the 8th cup free. The combination of 20p off and free drinks works out as about 1 in 4 free compared to paying full price.

Just received an email and checked my greggs app. Its FREE. Choice between Butter Chicken Bake / Calzone Bake / Vegetable Bake.

The vegetable bake was very nice but it does have tiny bits of chilli.

Someone who is out and doesn't have much money? You can get a savoury pastry and a cup of hot soup for £2.25 or a sweet and a hot drink for £2.25. They also do a very nice tuna sandwich

People complain constantly! I have a greggs account as i get free shit ... free is free :)

:/ I do want to buy one. But i don't know about the taste.

The same type of gerbil who has a Facebook account, and is happy for all their personal data to be sold to anyone in exchange for a free vegetable bake now and again. Simples really ;)

If you get the chance visit swilly and you will know. You thought ration cards were gone...

What have the people of Plymouth done to deserve such preferential treatment? Pah! I am going to climb on my high horse while donning my tin foil hat and write to Greggs to explain how appalled I am about this....

Free Coffee with reuseable cup for £2.00 at Greggs and get a free coffee and 20p off refills

Plastic cup costs £2 including a free large drink (which often costs over £2.50) It is cheaper to get the plastic cup every time.

I do. But then I cycle into town wearing my backpack and have a filter water bottle in my bike cage that I transfer to my backpack and take a thermal metal coffee cup in my bag if getting a coffee. Means I can drink some and cycle without spillage. Keeps it warmer. Extra stamp at nero and money off at greggs and costa and pret. Cyclying into town and using your own cup is the way forward and normal for me. I don't get why people drive in etc (I own a car but only use it for long distance). Generational thing I guess. I'm not a hipster but in this way hipsters have got it right - if that's what hipsters do - dunno.

Hopefully is just an introductory offer and then you'll get a discount to bring back your own

heat added. taking your own cup to other coffee shops will also yield a discount, negating the plastic cup levy charge.

We are not talking about light switches and electric plus but disposable wrapping, stop changing the subject matter to make yourself seem clever And right. Which was a different form we are not talking about when it was invented

Horrible basically hot water no taste whatsoever.

Greggs 2 Corned beef bakes £1 @ Iceland
Found 2nd JanFound 2nd Jan
Never tried these but my sister in law said they're amazing so I'll take her word for it =p Ham and cheese pasties also £1

I wasn't really able to identify what it was, it was just a thin layer of tasteless sludge!

Agree. These used to be amazing. Real meat taste very little mash potato. Now it's just a stock cube mixed with smash. Nasty cheap. I know they try to serve the bottom end of the lunch market but they put little bakeries out of business then serve up cheap changes.

Ah Greggs. I remember when they were good, 20 years ago when I lived in Durham. Now they should have the warning 'may contain meat' on most of their 'meat' products :D

I made the mistake of trying these once. They were absolutely vile, and ended up in the bin.

sayers used to do a corned beef pasties, Mmmm it was good. Sayers/pundbakery bothe the same, noticeed prices gone up on tradional andbsum others stuff. but a pritty girl in mine always smiles so worth it. (lipstick)

Found 29th Nov 2017Found 29th Nov 2017
Just had email from them today, so I'm guessing magazine has just come out.

I'm afraid the 'that's if you have one near you' is what counts- Waitrose is 10 miles away, and Greggs are on every corner. I think Greggs coffee is far nicer- but why not buy Closer mag in Waitrose and get both free coffees. Btw, Greggs caramel donuts are delish! Heat added

Never underestimate the overwhelming desire of some people to be offended at every opportunity..

Eating too much sugar does cause diabetes. Its not an ignorant statement. No mention of type 1/2. Calm down.

Yep, not a deal. Plus Greggs is crap these days. And that's exactly why I don't join the watsapp group and had to stop following hotukdeals on Facebook.

My mistake

Greggs makes you fat!!!... look what it did to me! :)

I'm not often fond of being the crotchety old git, but how is this a deal? It's an advert. EDIT: And it even made it to the WhatsApp group. Because this thread really took off, and it's a really important deal. Honestly, it would take a real optimist not to assume this is paid placement.

They just can't keep up with demand in my local! Everytime I go in there, the freezer is empty.

here, I can't confirm or deny that this is what I think of people that buy such items from iceland.

All stuff in bakeries in fast food stores arrives frozen. It then gets cooked. Jokingly called in the trade as 'tanning' For a health freak you don't research much.

Don't think I would survive in the backstreets of Poland but if ever I go, I will remember that. Thanks.

Until you’ve been to a backstreet bakery in Poland, you haven’t lived. Amazing choice and ridiculously cheap.

Worth a mention. The greggs app will only offer you one plastic reusable cup.

I agree - though I tend to go for the bacon roll in the morning. And just the coffee on the way home to try and stop me falling asleep on the bus. :D It's worth using the app rather than the cards though, as the cards are 1 free coffee in 10, and the app is 1 in 8. And you can turn off any free coffees/rewards if you're buying a deal, to get the most financial benefit from it. I actually got a free cup through the app yesterday, as one of their "favourite hot drink customers" - their quote, not mine. X)

In that case, Waitrose will need a lot of court cases. X)

Indeed they are (and I'm one of them) but that doesn't mean they haven't 'qualified' for the free coffee by having a 'My Waitrose' card, buying something first, and adding the free coffee to the receipt. That way you avoid the risk of a conviction for theft - and they do sometimes ask to see the receipt. The other way's the same as stealing something off the shelf and hoping you get away with it. Worth the risk?

Peeps are using the coffee machines to refill their reusable cups,so banana not needed.X)
