Thanks for posting OP - offer showing online now. Veg' ones look nice but blimey there's only 13% corned beef in the other bakes - should rename them "pastries with a hint of cheap beef" :D

How to Eat Vegan at Greggs. Greggs uses the term “vegan-friendly”. The company website indicates products are not made in dedicated vegan sites. Items are made at sites that take as “many steps as possible to minimise the risk of cross-contamination” with animal products. However its vegan pastries are free from animal products—and come in a bag labeled “vegan.” Short version,no it can't be guaranteed.

Anyone have any idea if this is the case with the Vegan ones too

Cancer existed before we started processing our food and putting too much sugar in our diets. How do you explain that? Both too much sugar and meat are bad. It's not one or the other. High sugar intake is linked to certain ailments and high meat/dairy etc intake is linked to other ailments. Meat (particularly red meat) is linked to colon cancer and heart disease. Dairy is linked to osteoporosis and breast cancer. Eggs are linked to high cholesterol levels.

Actually world shipping causes less damage than animal agriculture. (avocado's are mentioned and still meat beats avocados in environmental impact).

Simply put; Reduction in purchases of meat = reduction in animals bred by farmers. Less animals = less land and water use and less soy etc grown in cut down rainforest areas etc.

It takes more land, water and food to produce the same amount of calories via animal products than it does plant products. Meat is carcinogenic. Not healthy at all. Nor is the diseases they cause through parasites, antibiotic resistant superbugs or mutations in diseases they get that causes the disease to become zoonotic. Avian flu and swine flu are examples of this. As is the current coronavirus.

Sausage refers to the shape; of which it is convenient for cooking. Why do you eat meat that doesn't look like muscle or the animal itself?
