Yeah may be something running that's draining the battery but it somewhat defeats the point of having a smartphone if you can't use it to receive stuff like emails promptly, which requires it to check in the background regularly. Anyway I'm going to flash a custom ROM, so I'll see if that improves things.

I wouldn't recommend this phone. I bought the non-pro 4GB/64GB ZUK Z2 and …I wouldn't recommend this phone. I bought the non-pro 4GB/64GB ZUK Z2 and even with less hardware to power and a bigger 3500mAh battery I can't get through a day without charging. I'm not even playing games just spending a few hours a day browsing social media, hotukdeals, email, etc. The Z2 pro only has a 3100mAh battery so it'll be even worse. I've bought a Redmi Note 4 with a 4100mAh battery now and will give the Z2 to my Mum as she won't use it so much.

May be something wrong with your phone (Zuk Z2). This is one of the best phones since my iPhone 4 (paid £500 back in the days) and to me the king of the budget phones.

Battery life is 2 days with screen time of 4-5 hrs. Infact in 2nd day and still have 12%. Make sure you don't have email killing your battery in the background.

As others have said, if faulty your on your own. I have been looking to buy another zuk Z2 but prices have gone up to £180 or so!
Voted hot - but personally I always try to buy from a UK retailer for peace of mind. Best I can find at the moment for similar spec is the P10 Lite. Was posted on here for a deal where you could get it for £139 at Carphone Warehouse.

The Zuk version of Android is so bad it's unreal .eg notifications missing, no badge count on icons for notifications, alarm doesn't even work, white listing apps so they run in the background so you don't miss notifications, icons on home page randomly moving to new other screens. Honestly this is the worse phone I have ever owned. But the geeks on here will reeling specs and flashing various obscure roms but even they know deep down they are over compensating for a poor overall experience

I disagree. Fantastic phone. Best I've bought. I've had it only 9 months or so. To be honest you probably got a bugged one if things are moving...! I agree zui implementation is poor. I've used the official indian ROM and whilst it's updated to android 7, I'm still on 6 as the stability is rock solid.

Specs are fantastic but again I agree with you specs mean diddly squat if you don't have smooth performance.

Yep, solves any niggling little issues with the stock ROM.

Is the RRemix rom rooted? I'm happy flashing a custom rom but I don't want anything rooted. I've no deisre to have to mess about with Magisck and the like to get Pokemon and banking apps working.

Yep, solves any niggling little issues with the stock ROM.
Bought two of these on 4 September from Banggood, arrived nicely packed on 14 September, so 10 days for delivery. Switched on, its nice and fast, the front screen is just like using my Samsung. Very easy to set up and the Health App is on there.

There are less apps on it, but its up to the individual to customise it as they seem fit. Up to now am very pleased, as I thought cases would be here first. Oh and it comes with a screen protector already on.

Used Quidco to get cashback as well. Tried the camera and its very slick and takes nice pictures too. Only downside is it came with flat pin plug so will need an adapter at £6 from the bay. Also its on Android 6, but no biggie as it runs really smooth

i just received my phone, I really like it though can't work out to get message notifications. Can anyone help please?
Does anyone have any experience of buying from dx.com? A quick Google search and they seem to be getting mixed reviews. What about any import duties/taxes, are they likely to be applied when the phone reaches the UK? Thanks in advance!
had mine for a couple of weeks, love it. lighting fast and crisp clear screen.
4g definitely works in three.
Looks nice in hand, bought one on last deal but it's a bit too small unfortunately.
Gonna ebay it, they go for over 150/160 so this is a bargain!

Band 20 is used a lot outside London as the networks can cover larger areas more quickly, hence better for less well populated areas.Going to add some heat anyway, as it's a pretty good deal for a snapdragon 820 phone.

FYI, I got one a few months back from Banggood and I get fast 4G/4G+ access in East Kent on EE. It’s an absolutely fantastic phone for this price. Considering you spend the same amount of money on a Motorola G5 for this, there’s really no contest.

The single button works really, really well and the installed ROM is perfectly alright for general use. The only thing really missing is NFC for Android Pay, but I’m not going to hold that against it at this price.

ZUI 2.0 (Based on Android 6.0),NOT support OTA update

Well that's a shame

The phone would stop picking up any network, I think the phone's radio just shut down and wouldn't pick any signal at all. Tried my sim in different phones and it was fine. I've tried factory resets to no avail, anyone know anything that may help? Would reflashing it help, or would a phone shop be able to fix the issue?

Thanks for the reply. I was logged in when I tried the code. I have bought from banggood a few times. But, the full price is still £382.95, and when I add the code, it only goes down to £323.72.

Are you able to get the price mentioned when you add the phone to your basket?

I want a cheapish phone with a good camera. I was going for the honor 6x … I want a cheapish phone with a good camera. I was going for the honor 6x as I liked the dual rear camera, but the spec on this is tempting me. Camera seems to be poor but price is low for what you get.Not sure honor 6x or this?

If camera is what you're after, the 6x seems to be a good contender, but bear in mind that it's a good £90 more expensive than the ZUK, might be worth it, might not be. But if you're willing to take it to 5.5inch screen size and £200+, it's hard to argue with the Moto G4 Plus. There's even codes floating around on HUKD to get a personalised 4GB/64GB one for ~£250. And at that price range it's even more difficult to argue with the mi5/5s.

I've been living with the Z2 for about 3 weeks now and it's a rock solid phone, cannot fault it at all. I didn't like ZUI all too much but that's a personal preference and even if I did I would have still messed around with it because I've been changing ROMs every 2 weeks for ages now.

I quite like the design, it's heavy and thick but it feels sturdy and actually quite pleasant in the hand irrespective of being quite square-y. I personally think 5.5-inch is too big - 5-inch is a better size for me.

The phone's camera is... okay. I've probably taken no more than 20 pictures in this time and the quality is acceptable, even in low light. It's better than my previous phone (Nexus 5), but that doesn't mean much, I've seen much better. I'm an amateur photographer and I generally have my DSLR in the car ready to go so I don't feel like an amazing camera is high on the list of features I require.

But I'll say this: this phone is totally overkill for me, to the point where I regret buying it a little bit. Maybe I'll change in the future, maybe apps will require more processing power, more RAM, but for now I'm using ~ 2GB RAM at most times, don't think I've ever gone above 3GB RAM usage, with the CPU not even busting a sweat.

Let me elaborate. Best analogy I can think of is regretting buying a Mustang because it's too powerful and I'm never going to be using it at full power. I should have bought something like a Fiesta ST, a pocket rocket. In the world of car enthusiasts there's this saying: it's more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow.

Not sure what the smartphone equivalent of a Fiesta ST is, maybe the Redmi 4 Prime with its 4 day battery, the Nokia 6 is exciting but difficult to get hold of.

My point is, performance is just numbers on a paper, you'll probably be fine with an underpowered phone, dual cameras are a gimmick. Could we have a 2 year old flagship sensor and lenses on a budget/mid-range phone? Please?

"The Z2 is not operated via the commonly used Android onscreen buttons for "Back", "Multitasking", and "Home" or their capacitive counterpart below the screen. ZUK's smartphone can only be controlled via the physical-capacitive home button. In addition to fingerprints for unlocking the handset, the main control detects predefined gestures. For example, the home button is only tapped for a fraction of a second for "Back" and somewhat longer for "Multitasking".

That's pretty odd...

The likes of Samsung and Sony are notorious for filling their phones with bloatware anyway and so are the UK networks.

Sony, Apple, HTC, Samsung and other suppliers phones come with UK warranty and cover all UK bands if bought in the UK. I have nothing against Chinese phones like oneplus but think for little more I can get phone with UK bands and peace of mind. Thanks for the response to my questions on the previous page, i found it … Thanks for the response to my questions on the previous page, i found it to be very informative and helpful with making my decision. I would much rather buy from a seller who ships from this country like the one you provided the link for, but looking at the listing it seems the seller is still based in China. Maybe a silly question but did it say where the package was shipped from on the label? The listing says 'Item location: Southall, United Kingdom' but when you read about the seller details it shows them as being based in Shenzhen, China which worries me a little. Just wanted to make sure.It is hard for me to decide, i am one of these people who can never make up thier minds about anything. Like i said before, i have a choice between this and the OnePlus 3. The Z2 is £185 and OP3 costs £145 more at £330. I think it is a typical case of you get what you pay for between these phones; the Z2 is like the bare essentials with an monsterous SD820 whereas the OP3 has the added luxuries with an additional 2GB of RAM, 5.5" AMOLED screen, UFS 2.0, Dash Charge, 16MP camera and of course, MUCH better developmental support.I know the OP3 would be the best choice for me, it is almost the perfect phone, and being a former OnePlus One owner i know what they've been like in the past. But what puts me off this phone is the price which is beyond my budget of £300, and the Soft Gold variant has been out of stock since the 16th with no sign of it coming back anytime soon. I would hate to have the black one because all my phones in the past have been the same colour, and i find it to be dull and unattractive. Also, there is a rumoured OnePlus 3T at around £400 which is set to outdate it in either November or December. So for these reasons it has become a much more difficult decision than i would like between these two devices!
