This is a good option if you're looking for budget Android One handset with a decent camera. Nokia 7.2 Available in Cyan Green, Ice, or Charcoal 48MP Triple Camera ZEISS Op… Read more

I'm not fussed about a decent camera I know lots of people are though.... The camera tech is expensive as well.... The Realme 6 is £220 but the new version Realme 6s £180 is the same phone with a 48mp cam instead of 64mp .... £40 off just because of a camera

I'd go for the 7.2 if you can stretch to it, as the camera looks better.

Yeah the guaranteed updates are a big plus for me. I want something cheap but future-proofed.

These Nokia models are pretty confusing apart from getting slightly better from Nokia 2 all the way to Nokia 7 ..... 5-6-7 all quite good but nothing remarkable The main thing is Android One which I guess is the draw like Motorola.... Stock Android but Nokia will give you the updates albeit pretty late!

They're fairly similar.

Hideous? It looks pretty innocuous to me.

I think you're going the right way if he wants a top camera at a low price, going for a previous flagship is the way forward If you can wait for an eBay code, the mate 20 pro gets to around that price.

@MrSwitch best mobile for around 150 to 180 Mark. A friend was looking at a used P20 pro for 150? What you reckon should he get that or something midrange but new? He needs a decent ish camera and good battery and good loud speaker for calls as he uses his phone as a phone god forbid. I would have told him to get the nova 5t from o2 PAYG but sold out so he is looking around what you think? The mate 10 pro from cex is also available for 130 grade b so he doesn't mind used. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Ohh and his current phone oneplus 5t

Why are the designers conspiring to make "Nokia" phones as fugly as possible? The first lot of pretend Nokia's weren't too bad, I had a 5 and got my parents a 3 and a 1. Then they added that hideous chin with the logo on it. Now that ridiculous camera setup. Just take a Nokia 8 sirocco body and put decent hardware in it, or better still a Lumia 930... Sad times :(

I guess so, but if your current device has a FHD screen why downgrade. It's become a common feature among the affordable chinese phones, for me anyway its essential.

Nope. I've not had any issues! (confused)

Haven't you had the shutdown during charging fault? It seems widepsread - it even happened to a reviewer. Updates seem very slow as well judging by all the complaints which seems to defeat the object of Android One if you don't keep the phone for too long. Also HMD customer service seems garbage - both from reports and my own experience of pre-sale enquiries.

I have the far so good! (y)

Yeah. I'm happy with my Nokia 7.2! Glad to hear your Nexus is keeping you happy too (y)

I have the Nokia 7.2 and have no complaints. I've only had it since end of Jan. Switched from Samsung to Nokia...largely for nostalgic reasons! <3

Any 7.2 owners experienced the shutdown while charging issue? It's all over the web and someone who posted a deal sent his or hers back due to this problem. I like a lot about this phone but the reliability worries me.

Hi. I own a different model (Nokia 7plus) . Here's an info regarding Nokia 7.2 from one of the reviews on the net : Call quality is also strong, with clear transmissions and good noise cancellation. Peak volume for the earpiece comes in at 78dB, and was easy to hear on a busy street. The bottom-firing speaking peaks at 88dB and is fine for calls, but sounds tinny at high volumes when streaming multimedia.

Could you tell me what the call & ringtone volume and quality is like please? I need it to be good as I'm partially deaf.

is the phone unlocked

Nokia gives you a 2 year warranty on their phones if it's sold through Manufacturer’s authorised sales channels. Not 100% sure if QVC is actually one of these channels. I just received my Nokia 7plus back from Nokia. It developed a fault 15 months after I purchased the phone. Took them a week to fix it including postage to and from Hungary. When you receive the phone, register it with Nokia to activate Nokia's warranty(there was an app preinstalled on my phone where I could easily do it.

Went for charcoal instead of cancelling or waiting until July for Sand/Cyan. Feels different to its predecessor, 5.1 plus. Screen is huge, phone is thin and very light. Love it so far. Sold 5.1 plus on eBay in one day. That's Nokia: bulletproof.

I've requested a refund via PayPal, I found my details and it hadn't even been dispatched!

It's likely that it might be stuck somewhere in the postal system, as I recently received an item from China after 3 months of waiting. The tracking showed it arrived in the UK and stayed in the customs office for over almost 2 months!! why I don't know but I recieved the item eventually, now I just need to email them to pay as they refunded me thinking it was lost in transit

I ordered from France on 25MAY and it's still not showing as despatched. I emailed a few days after to ask when it would be sent and after about three days they replied asking me if I'd received it. I told them I hadn't and wanted to know the tracking number and which courier it was sent by (if they're asking if I received it then they must have posted it?) but didn't get a reply so I've now requested a refund. I don't mind things taking a little while and I have bought from China before where 3wks+ is normal for delivery, but from France it really should be here by now (CS mobiles ship from Spain and always arrive within 7 days - I bought from France for customs reasons but expected it would be quicker), and it's simply not on to show as not even despatched a week after paying. Question is, which will arrive? the phone or the refund?

I can't find my order confirmation but I'm sure I had one but I have the PayPal receipt. With ordering via the France link I thought it would be sooner.

Good. At least PayPal will refund then if it doesn't turn up. I have ordered from them before and they took 3 to 4 weeks. But 1: it was with shipping from China and 2: it was before Covid-19 so obviously different factors at play. Hopefully someone else here who did order can give their experience. Did you get a confirmation email btw? Did the order definitely go through?

Hi, Coukd you tell me if the call volume is low? I have hearing problems and there are so e reviews saying there's a problem with call volume. Howwver a lot of phonesseem to have at least some reviews saying the same thing. Don't know if it's a modern issue. My current handset is a Galaxy S3!

Thanks for your expert input mate, the phone is for my Cousin and he isn't comfortable with a handset from China unfortunately, but he should be ok with a open box product like this, if you were gonna recommend a uk phone for this money what would it be ? Thanks again mate!

Depends really what you are willing to buy... If you want brand new sealed box, or happy with a refurb or refurbished phone... Happy to buy from China or only from the UK?... I have this Nokia 7.2 and very pleased and an excellent all rounder, provided you’re not a serious gamer playing the latest 3D games will serve you well. There was a post on HUKD the other day for the LG G6 which is a former flagship phone for £129, the phone was new, but released two and half years ago. It won’t get any new updates beyond Android 9, but has excellent cameras with optical image stabilisation, and the processor still gives mid-range like the Nokia 7.2 a run for their money. If you buy from China you could get a Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, which on paper is probably the best specced phone for this price. But run the risks if a problem occurs having to return it to China, possible import fees and no NFC. The same phone from UK sellers is around £230.

Good deal, heated. I recently purchased a 7.2 from Argos (this deal) to switch to from my 7 Plus. Hard to say if it's strictly an upgrade as on paper there's a lot of similarity, however..... Things I'm liking compared to my 7 Plus so far: * Notification light within the power button. Haven't had a notification light on a phone for a I need one? * Ambient screen * Wi-Fi calling with Three (most networks support this) * Weight - although similar to the 7 Plus the way it's distrubuted must be different as it feels lighter to hold. * Cameras - definite improvement and having the wide angle lens is cool. A centred selfie camera for video calls is a basic thing too but makes a difference. * FM radio! * In theory at least one extra major Android version upgrade compared to the 7 Plus and a longer period for security updates Things I'm not overly impressed with: * No fast charging * Build quality is nice but not quite that same level premium feel. * Finger print reader - a little slower which is a shame. * You're forced to move to either full gesture control or 2 button navigation. In Android 10 on the 7 Plus you could still go back to the three button way. (After using 2 button now it's quite good!) * Dedicated Assistant button

Hey guys/expert's, best phone for £160 or less at this moment in time ????? Could anyone make some suggestions please ??? All the best Thanks!!!

Vodafone have very bad customer service in my experience. This looks like a great phone for the price

It took me 3 months for what they gave me as multiple codes to try out, none worked. They even got my mobile number wrong in correspondence at one time. I had hours on calls and emails, even to an Egypt call centre at one point. Vodafone are a joke with unlocking, I sold the phone locked to Vodafone to Game store in the end, and changed provider.

Introduced in Dec 2019 according to GSM arena. Android updates for 2 years, and security updates for 3 years (so somewhat better support than you state), starting from Dec 2019:

The only thing about Moto is the infuriating lack of compass/magnetometer in a lot of models. Not sure about the G8. Nokia are offering a three-year warranty until next Sat. However if you keep having to use it that's cold comfort.

I never really tried non wi-fi calling due to working from home and being in poor signal area. Rest of the phone was great to be honest but sounds like main board fault. HMS took over Nokia and seems to have gone down hill a little compared to the old Lumia Windows phones I used to have. I got a pay as you go Motorola g8 plus from we for £150 plus top up £10. Stock android no issues and turbo charge which Nokia didn't have. Had g5 and g6 both good phones. Only downside is still on android 9 and Moto now slow at updates but I do have the April security patch. Volume and ringtone good on the g8. I would love to buy a Chinese phone but I know my luck and lack of UK warranty concerns me. You could buy via Amazon or the like but cost goes up compared to AliExpress or the like.

Normal GSM non WI-Fi call volume equally good? TBH I'm gradually going off the 7.2. Vast number of complaints about hardware and software issues such as yours. Such a shame - I really want stock android and am nervous about Chinese manufacturers. The Nokia name is attractive nostalgia for someone of my age - baffling that they appear to be squandering it due to appalling quality control. What alternative did you buy?

The phone was fine great quality over wi-fi calling as I'm in weak signal area. The sound from ringtone loud and clear.

Is "android go" good?

We're toying with buying a couple of these for elderly parents. They barely use smart phone functions on their current phones. Literally access shared photos on Google photos (Grand children's photo albums) and use whatsapp for messaging and video calls. Is the general consensus that these will fit the bill?

‘Whether gaming or streaming...’ For £60 this looks like a good phone but offering this up as any sort of gaming device is incredibly misleading. This phone will only be able to handle very basic games.

It and Android Go Edition phone, rather than full fat Android. The OS is optimised for lower end devices as are the built I apps. Not sure how other apps like WhatsApp would fair though.

Yeah, a little odd. Maybe the battery will stay healthier for longer, who knows. Mine should arrive tomorrow, will compare to my 7 Plus (which does have fast charging) and decide which to keep and sell the other.

Shame there is no fast charging

That's a bit strong! :D One common fault (which I agree, is annoying) but that can be fixed under warranty in ~1 week. An excellent phone otherwise that I'm struggling to justify upgrading from.
