ok not impressed, picked mine up today, tried it out and it is (poo) Tried it with a cheese toastie but after 15 minutes the bread was not toasted and the cheese just starting to melt. High setting is supposed to be 190c but mine get the good to go light when it only reaches 120c which is a good bit short of the stated 190c and then it cools right down to under 90c before i got fed up waiting for the thermostat to click it on again. So i guess it will be returned asap.

Thanks for your reply, the brand name attracted me to it, your common sense whooshed me back onto this

thnx, just got my email from asda so i will be picking up the three i ordered on monday (y)

More expensive, smaller and doesn't have temperature controller. I've already checked it out... Not going to pay for the brand name but thanks for your suggestion xx

So was i, bought this and i think its crap. Waffles only form on the side thats down and if you over fill it just goes off the edge lol. Think ill be sending this back. They are soggy and take 10 mins. Recipe i used was Awfully Good Waffles from a google search. How have you found it?

Im using foil to cover and and slanting mine. At this price its worth a punt

Terrible, doesn’t heat for ages and gives you soggy lumps. Only breville does a good job and are worth

As long as you pay by PayPal there's no problem but I do wonder what people get out of doing things like that on eBay, Amazon and similar places.

Nowadays too many eBay accounts seem to be compromised. Had to deal with a few myself too. Very frustrating. OP seems to be a good and reliable deal.

We went through a few different types before getting the breville, all the others ended up in cupboards due to lack of use before being dumped, this breville is in a different league.

Would this be a better alternative at the same price?π=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=george+foreman+grills&dpPl=1&dpID=31YQe0XzZGL&ref=plSrch

Steaks, burgers, chicken breasts (butterfly first), bacon - only limitation is your imagination ! We even use ours to reheat oven chips. Only thing I haven't mastered is cooking an egg on it. Ours is used a few times a week, now on our 2nd after wearing out the first one after 3 years hard labour

Thanks, ordered :-)

Got one of these for this price from Argos recently and have to say I love it. Now hopelessly addicted to cheese & ham toasted bagels. The massive pro is nothing seems to stick so its super easy to clean. Its big enough to fit 2 standard size slices of bread side-by-side so you could heat 2 toasties at the same time.

Reviews for meat products NOT sticking are good and people that have purchased** recommend

To be fair, using these for anything other than deliciously crunchy toasted sandwiches is asking for a whole load of trouble trying to clean burned on meat juices from the plates. We've got a great Tefal one and it gets used most weeks, but it's rubbish for chicken and meat.

Rolling? Can't say I've had that problem myself to be honest. When I slice them in half the only issue I have is with the top half sliding off the bottom half when I press it down, but you can fix that by just cutting them straight. You could always try flattening the baguette a bit by hand before you put it in?

Doing fine with panini maker but how do I stop baguettes rolling. I have to literally hold it with my hand and end up burning hands. Any tips?

Nice one, just make sure if using the baguettes you squash them down to flatten a little (using the handle - not too hard though as your filling may squeeze out!) and cook them in the press until the bread is nice and brown on the parts in contact with the plates. They'll be nice and crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, then! The filling will be like lava though, so take care

We use our breville to cook sandwiches, toasted wraps, bacon, steaks, chicken breasts, burgers, sausages, reheat oven chips, etc etc. Tried all the usual sandwich makers, George foreman grills and junked them all for this one, now on our second, the first one was just worn out after 2 years hard use.

Now school is closed so 14 year old can get on with panini maker ;) 🤔 :|
