I know people see it as a waste of money (we are doing one) but it won't cost anywhere near £700 that's literally buying pack after pack after pack and never swapping your duplicates! I got 100 packs for £45 from ebay, so reckon we'll do it in under £60 then potentially can sell any swaps we still have on eBay and make a bit of money back (potentially) Kids have loved it and with modern technology we've (I've) been swapping with people from twitter and even on here! Haven't voted hot or cold just because the album's are free everywhere

It's not hassle when it's thrown in with 35,000 other magazines you sold a year ;-)

I don't think they will be worth more if England win. The reason I've never been interested in collecting these albums is they are historically incorrect because they come out before the final squads so the sticker don't even match the players who finally went. But some people love them and you may be surprised that an empty album from 1982 still in it's plastic bag was sold for £300. I know because I sold it :-) In fact it sold for £400 but the first buyer returned it because he said the plastic bag had been opened.

Not only that. All that hassle for £5

Attention span, yoof today have no... oh look at this cute kitten pik.

Panini 2018 FIFA World Cup Sticker Collection Mega Tin £9.99 at Argos with free C&C (RRP £15.99!)

I had 15 swaps in just one tin. I contacted Panini and they sent some replacements through!

Anybody else get a load of duplicates? 5 packets down and 4 duplicates already. How is that mathematically possible with 681 stickers in the book?

Open all 20 packs, take out the one you need out of each one. Take the whole lot back to Argos for a refund. Repeat. (cheeky)

This is definitely 20 packs of 5 stickers, take it back. Decent tin (football)

The sneaks - i've updated the post.

I’m so old I remember my mum buying me the Panini Football 80/81 stickers at 5p per pack of 5 stickers, no idea what they cost now days but sad to hear they are a rip off as opening up 2 packs of these after junior school coupla times a week was a real treat!

Back of the net!!

Got some this morning but was gutted to find I ended up with some England players!

Was in there yesterday and the offer is 3 for £2, so not quite as good as 3 for 2, but obviously better than the standard price.

tell me trhat again you get a numbered Certificate Of Authenticity signed by Peter J Warsop, Licensing Group Director, Panini, yes Peter J Warsop - frame it

I would be interested in these but the price for 24 album covers it crazy. Also considering they say only 1000 global will be produced the seems to be a hell of a lot of places selling them, admittedly this is by far cheapest. I would £25 is a fair price.

Not the same, just not the same

Or you could just download the Panini World Cup Sticker Album App and complete the album for free. The app gives you two free packs a day, with a limit of opening max 5 a day. There’s a misc thread on HUKD with loads of free packs, and if you have any missing stickers you can just trade any duplicates for them using the in-app trading function. I finished my app album with 25 free packs remaining, and if you’re worried about “losing” the complete album if the app gets discontinued the reward is a PDF file of your completed album.

Pretty sure the whole football sticker book market is being maintained by 30 year old blokes feeling nostalgic. Do Kids these days collect them?

Took me a moment to realise you weren't collecting stickers of toasted baguettes 🍞

Panini Stickers (5x100=500 stickers) - £54.99 @ Amazon
Found 23rd MayFound 23rd May
Price reduced on box of 100 packets. Works out at 55p a pack.

Some uneducated posts on here. Lot of hate. Headlines about £700+ to complete are nonsense. I bought a box like this at the start of the sticker season, we have a few packs left (been drip feeding). grandparents have bought a few, and few while we've been out and about. We have just under 100 to go to complete the album. Going to our first swap meet this weekend with well over 100 swaps in hand. Should get about half done there. Will have under 50 left by the start of world cup, at which point I'll send off for the last few. This has been with very little swapping (swapped a few with 2 mates so far). Total spend was £65 for box (more than here) and about £25 on extra odd packs here and there. I was well aware that we were getting into a spend of £90-100 and consider it worth it for the huge amount of fun my kids have had out of this so far. To the eco-warrior.... we give them a packet of paper stickers instead of sweets or a plastic toy while we are out and about. Could argue these are eco-friendly in our case. One packet of lego probably outweights all the carbon footprint of a box of 100 of these... but then I do love my lego too. Plenty of fun to be had and the swapping is only just beginning in our area. Have fun. Don't look at the big price tag, look at the bigger picture.

-Planet is being polluted -Green house gases are giving us a early hot summer -Nikola Tesla invented the electric car at the same time as the combustion engine. As humans we chose the worst option. Surely as a species we now have the collective knowledge to realise there is more to life than letting ur kids collect stickers which help kill the planet. Imagen all the stickers all over the world.... landfill or ocean

What a brilliant article! It was ALWAYS about the trading.

lol Here's the mathematics:

Why are you chatting pure dung? They are 80p a packet, stop spoofing.

Steaks, burgers, chicken breasts (butterfly first), bacon - only limitation is your imagination ! We even use ours to reheat oven chips. Only thing I haven't mastered is cooking an egg on it. Ours is used a few times a week, now on our 2nd after wearing out the first one after 3 years hard labour

Thanks, ordered :-)

Got one of these for this price from Argos recently and have to say I love it. Now hopelessly addicted to cheese & ham toasted bagels. The massive pro is nothing seems to stick so its super easy to clean. Its big enough to fit 2 standard size slices of bread side-by-side so you could heat 2 toasties at the same time.

Costco £10 ish for 20 packs

The only way this will be beaten is if somewhere like Morrisons does a 3 for 2 on them again.

Why is this cold? if you get the starter pack (album and 5 packs) also bundled in with the box of 100 packs it works out £67.99. That’s just under 65p per pack. TCB 12% returned £8.16. So final cost per pack is 57p... I can’t see that beaten

I really have no idea how they get a "professor" to come up with these headline numbers. Surely swapping is a big part of the fun. I know I'm lucky to live in Manchester where there are regular 'swap' meetups normally. We went along to a couple at the football museum/Urbis during the euros album and filled most of it there, had to send off for the last 20 or so, mostly shineys. I think this year will cost us max £110. That's allowing for lost/damaged/unswappables. As the "professor" says - 137 packs. Well that's £89 to fill the album at Groupon/Argos/Ebay prices (65p/pack). Not counting gifts from Granny/Grandad etc.
