I'm 100% right. If sold and FBA then your warranty is with amazon. If the warranty i.e two years then i.e your first year is with amazon and second year is the manufacturer. If the warranty i.e three years then i.e the first two years is with amazon and third year is with the manufacturer. If OP bought it from a third party seller then you're dealing with the seller/manufacturer.
Even if you bought that mobo from amazon warehouse deal and it sold and FBA, you get a minimum of a one year warranty. If it craps out within that time period amazon will refund you. (edited)
Log on to your amazon account, and then open a new tab and google amazon customer service, and then hit the chat button. Remind them when you get through that your warranty is with them (that's if you bought direct from them), they will say sorry..... and offer you replacement/refund.
Anytime amazon offer you a replacement and you really only want the money, I always say I'd rather have a full refund because I don't trust that brand anymore (edited)
You don't get it, it comes as standard for items sold and FBA. I've bought 100's and 100's of items from amazon, when I query the warranty.... guess what? every customer service agent has said the same thing, no one has said anything else.

You don't know how amazon works. That's why you're still on here talking nonsense. I've already told you how they deal with their warranty (something you didn't know/unaware of).
Paypal? Paypal ''warranty'' you can make a claim in the first 6 months. Again something you're unaware of because you're too fixated in what you think you know.
You protect yourself by thinking/saying you're right. This comes from your low self esteem/low ego. You live in your own little bubble on here, it's not healthy kid.
Returns label always came via email for me, but you could view it in your "orders" somewhere (under return status maybe?)
Amazon's unpublished approach has been amply demonstrated by the entertaining screenshot content, your repeated insistence and OPs outcome. If it is documented policy Amazon appears to have missed an excellent marketing opportunity by not (obviously) promoting its visibility to customers, but considering this suggested policy actually contradicts the processes stated on Amazon's website it is unlikely Amazon would want to promote any such policy, regardless of what beneficial goodwill is implemented in practice.
PayPal permits a buyer to make a claim in the 180days from purchase/payment, but if it's a warranty claim PayPal will not support it regardless of how many inverted commas are placed around the word warranty.
Two observations of reality from bubbleville.
Not convinced that is the case for items beyond 6 months such as OPs. Will be interesting to see what OP states about chat outcome; hopefully good.
I am not disagreeing with Amazon's obligations, what I am saying is that Amazon may choose to discharge it obligations differently from month7, plus the manufacturer has zero mandatory "warranty" obligation but often provides goodwill if directly approached. For the record, there is no mandatory first year "warranty" from Amazon or any other merchant, the legal guarantee obligations change at end of 30 days, end of 6months and end of 5 years (Scotland) or 6 years in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
No, I deal with amazon all the time, everything I buy from them I query the warranty by going online chat.
No problem.
Troubleshooting and product support may be available to resolve any issues with your product, as outlined in the Product Support Help page. If your item becomes defective after the Amazon return period, Amazon will repair any defective item. The repair will be completed by the manufacturer or by a third-party repair service provider authorised by the manufacturers to repair their products. If a repair is not possible, we'll send you a replacement, and if a replacement is not available, we will refund the purchase price. Repair is only available for qualifying items sold by Amazon.co.uk or Amazon Warehouse. Amazon does not accept a return after 30 days for consumable products (e.g. batteries, fuses, ink, light bulbs, etc.) or if the defect is due to accidental damage, deliberate damage, caused by external factors, or general wear and tear. For more information go to About Warranty Repairs.”
From Amazon Help/ Return policies.
Can’t imagine they’d bother repairing a motherboard - probably just big ticket items like laptops & tvs so would give you a refund or replacement. (edited)
I don't think we are disagreeing, but you may have an incorrect perception of Amazon's obligations. All irrelevant if OP receives a favourable outcome.
No, I've a perfect understanding of amazon obligations. OP need to remind amazon customer service that if he bought it directly off them then his warranty is with them. They normally offer a full refund if they can not replace it.
Everyone who is clued up knows that if you buy directly from amazon, then it's bombproof for at least for the first year (or more, depending on the warranty). (edited)
She has emailed twice this week with no answer from them
Politely: you either don't know Amazon's mandatory obligations or you struggle to describe them. But you may have perfect understanding of Amazon's procedures and know how to extract best outcome beyond mandatory obligations.
This is Amazon standard (I've never known/experienced anything else). Don't fixate yourself with what's written in the mandatory obligations, because actuality is different (this is the part you're not getting).
If you're dealing with another retailer then you might run into other problems, but this is amazon we're talking about.
I do get it; I have done since 2014. There is no mandatory 12month warranty obligation with SBA & FBA, it is gesture of goodwill.
That is the most hilarious item of CS I have seen in a very long time.
Please do not ask that poor CS jockey for the URL to that non-existent policy as the screenshot is worth gold to keep up your sleeve and throw on the table when Amazon spouts some strict adherence to CRA 2015.
I've dealt with amazon 100's of time, each customer service agent have said the same. Those 'poor CS jockey' are the ones who will issue you your refund. You must have a real fragile ego to think you're right when you're wrong.
I'd personally never take any advice from you, even on this other thread you're wrong click.
Amazon will not provide you with a URL to its "12month warranty" because it does not have one, but it may offer a 12m warranty policy as a gesture of goodwill. That is the hilarious irony of the CS comment.
Not clear what the other thread relevance is. Paypal does not offer nor support any warranty, 12 months, 12 days or 12 seconds; none. Period.
Good result.
Still amazes me everyday when you tell people the actual law. While they argue that the law is different.
Amazes me you think he actually knows what he is talking about. He is one of these people who thinks he is right all of the time but is actually very limited in what he knows (lack of experience). (edited)
The actual law is:-
28 days faulty, refund unless retailer prices you broke it.
28days to 6 months retailer offers repair, replacement or refund. As long as retailer doesn’t provide proof you broke it.
6 months to 12 months, consumer to prove an inherent fault. Then repair or replacement.
12months to 6 years (5 in Scotland ) consumer to prove should have lasted a reasonable time.
Anything a retailer offers over and above these is in addition to your statutory rights. Amazon has on occasion enforced these. Despite your experience, Amazon can change their terms. Especially if they cannot he found in black and white under a terms and conditions page.
How amazon actually work is they will replace/refund/repair (depending on the item) you within your warranty period IF FBA. It's as simple as that. I've been an amazon customer for over 16+ years and never known any difference. People who are clued up know this, AndyRody doesn't. He doesn't know how they work.
OP question is/was easy to answer, and the solution was simple.
