Strange comments. Not really sure why you’re looking at this deal then as it clearly stated lottery and if you don’t agree with it then why comment?!

Lottery is a tax that affects those with lower incomes.

People play the lottery in the hopes to make it rich and win the jackpot. Those that play are usually of lower socioeconomic class because the rich have no reason to play it as they've already got the money.

The increase in price from the previous £1 to now the £2 is, I would now even say is a direct regressive tax which thrives from those that are poor.

Yes, nobody is forcing anyone to do anything and I get that stance, however you need to factor in the inelastic demand addiction to things like this can cause.

In the end, it is a tax on the poor. (edited)

Hi, you could play a single play/ticket for 1-2 quid, I'd be OK to pay such 'tax', especially if I can get a voucher... You don't need to be a frequent player, play once a year ?... why not...

Pleased with drusilla zoo. 4 tickets 4 quid. Thanks OP

Are the tickets sent a few days after. I note not instantly issued. (edited)

It shouldn’t make a difference I took my daughter on the London eye a couple of months ago. Bar code tickets both separate both scanned separately. As long as you have the tickets for the amount of people going on that’s all that matters when they scan the barcodes (edited)

Does anyone know if they require the actual ticket? I've got mine online

I've used it at Sea Life (Birmingham), Lego Land (Birmingham) and Gulliver's Land (Milton Keynes)... Not once have they asked for the actual lottery ticket.
  20. morpheus's avatar
I used this last year and got my family to the Gullivers Christmas event for nothing. Great offer. Will be doing it again! Can everyone just please be sensible when using the offer so it doesn't get pulled.

Only problem with the offer now, as others have mentioned, is that there doesn't seem to be as many attractions listed this time around. Probably because most of them close down for the winter period. Hopefully they come back when they open back up again. (edited)

Not a tax indirectly or directly. No one is forced to play the lottery.

Just like people on lower incomes are not forced to drink “indirect poison” from the supermarkets and pubs.
