I get 24 hours easily out of my S22 Ultra, close to 32-36 hours many times. I have - switched off 5G, kept screen refresh at 60Hz, Dark mode default, no constant background refresh for any app, etc. I don't play games (unless Solitaire qualifies), nor stream music or watch videos. Plus no news apps. Most of the time, my use is email, some social media, work related Teams, etc.
Sounds like you don't use your phone...
I'd be avoiding any exynos chip from now on. My s21u has the worst battery life for any flag ship. Whereas my fold 4 on the snapdragon is miles better.
I wouldn't typically consider upgrading until you're a minimum of three generations on from your current handset, the improvements aren't going to be that significant if you do so any earlier.
Yes I agree I usually skip a phone inbetween as I usually keep the phone for two plus years when I upgrade but now I still have an s8 plus looking to upgrade to s23 ultra is definitely gonna feel so different. If the s22 is causing you problems though then fair enough I would upgrade.
They definitely do something similar to apple. I noticed my battery life reduce significantly after phone updates
S23 Ultra battery is top notch by the way, easily gets through a full day of using it regularly (edited)
