Is there a reason that the same deal for £2 cheaper 2 weeks ago went over 1000 heat? What’s wrong with this one/good about the other one?

Used them a few times for £300+ items with no issues. Always paid merchant directly by credit card to have legally enforceable replicated merchant obligations serviced in UK (delivery, 12m merchant warranty, etc). No additional import fees cos this is one of the few far east merchants that cover it before it lands at the customer's door. I would be wary if the item was under £100, but no issues with £100+ per item purchases paid to merchant directly via credit card.

Pleasure. It was useful for me too......

Thank you, that’s really useful!

Just tried it for you. Interestingly, and I didn’t know this, it connected to 2 devices at once. (An iPhone 7 and an Android tablet). It tells me through the buds that I am connected to 2 devices). If I play through one, it comes through the buds. I then pause that device and play the other and it swaps. The other doesn’t interrupt until I pause the one it is connected to. After putting them in to the charger and back in to my ears it announced that it was still connected to the two devices at once and played whichever I pressed play first. Quite impressed. I don’t know how many devices it will connect to at once. I don’t have another with me, but it will store quite a number of devices, so you just connect through a device’s Bluetooth list. Bass is good, I wear the thinnest bud of the 3 provided and fits so well and is comfortable. There is another version for a bit more that has a bit better waterproofing and some sports tracking ability (like a basic sport tracker).

Apple Airpods With Generic Apple Airpods Case (Black)
Get dealGet deal

V dodgy site. So many fake reviews online for them (by 1 time fake reviewers). Avoid.

Thanks, that makes sense. I thought it was a 3rd Party Charge case.

The charging case (white) is included with all airpods - is part of the main design. So your link is just for the airpods and charging case I think. The extra case included in the original post is the black cover for the case - I got a similar one for less than £1 from gearbest.

Am I missing something here? These are Airpods with a generic case, but eGlobal central also sells what appears to be genuine Airpods with a Genuine case for less: Why would anyone buy the one with the generic case?

thr0tt Looks like these.

"Fake" site. Same as eglobal. It's the same trader. Lots of bad reviews. Avoid. Lots of fake good reviews online, by 1 time fake reviewers.

Indeed, but PayPal will side with a not as described case. it also says here that Customs check to make sure import fees and VAT have been correctly paid, and if anything is outstanding the courier will ask for it. Therefore, as i said.... if the courier delivers it and you aren't asked to pay anything then surely it has been taken care of, otherwise you reject and get paypal to sort.

Import duty 'may' be paid by them as stated in their T's&C's but VAT is not mentioned and has to be paid in the UK and cannot be paid beforehand. Regarding your rejecting delivery, don't forget your dealing with a Hong Kong business so you have zero consumer rights in the UK.

Exactly, so if the item arrives and alls good, nothing to pay...then you know it's all been already taken care of right? Most horror stories are from people not realising that they need to pay VAT and import tax, and what they thought was a bargain turns out expensive when the courier ask you to pay for the customs........ whereas with likes of Toby Deals/EGlobal they state on their tc's and c's that they pay the fees on your behalf. Therefore if the item arrives and then they ask you for VAT/Import tax then you simply tell them that the fees were meant to be taken care of by the seller and you can then take it up with PayPal etc, or reject the delivery! My point about false declaration was just an example scenario

The courier (be it Royal Mail or DHL etc.) will act as the agent to collect the VAT and import duty on behalf of the UK government, they'll also add a 'fee' on top for doing this. Why would a company declare the value as less than £20 (and why would you want them to) when the goods value a lot more, good luck claiming on insurance if they go missing or are damaged with a falsified value. There's plenty of horror stories on here regarding import duty and VAT liability.

You talking about the new xm3s?? doesn't sound like it

They are comfortable, but when you factor in a warm day, the BOSE easily beats it. Sweaty warm pads? horrible.

The new XM3's are just as comfortable if not more comfortable than the Bose, so it's a full house now for Sony.

Anyone know where the cheapest for these are?

Aside from the comfort, yes the Sony's are absolutely better in everything else.

Paypal - refund is your friend.

That silver bit in the image is removable - you can just plug your headphones into the empty socket. Here's some examples

“if you have wired headphones and a phone without a headphone socket, this will remove the need for a converter cable.“ explain how this works because as far as I can tell it doesn’t.

Since BT is relatively short range distance shouldn't make a big difference. Perhaps buffering plays a part if its variable based on signal strength/quality. If you are using applications which allow you to add delay then you can of course mitigate against delay. I believe Android has this feature for certain native google apps. But in many instances this is not possible. For example when connecting to a BT enabled TV, Sky Go, etc. As wireless headphones become ubiquitous I presume future revisions of BT standard will implement a standardised solution. But for the here and now the best advice is to find headphones with low latency if you plan to watch video. Because even if you predominantly use VLC, that could change during the lifetime of the headphones.

My experience of Bluetooth for watching video is with a Griffin iTrip Clip and the further away you are the longer the delay but I always just use VLC to resync it manually by adding a delay to the video

Apple AirPods [Refurbished] - £99.99 @ Argos eBay Store - OOS
Found 21st SepFound 21st Sep
Only 6 available, think they’ll get snapped up pretty quickly!

Bit steep at £17 tho

Had mine about a year, used every day with no issues. Shame that yours split. At least they are a replaceable part.

I just sold my beatsx on eBay and purchased the AirPods. The wing tips split on the beats x and cost £17 a set from Apple as they are not a warranty cover part. Apple know this is a common fault according to the lady I spoke to.

Id say the Beats X are a better buy than this if you must have an Apple Designed & Optimised headphone. Comfort and subjectively sound are better and you look less like a pleb ;) (subjective again of course) . Think I picked mine up for about £60 grade A and unused from CEX. Although the kneck cable isn't for everyone.

Thanks for letting us know.

I got the HD800s earlier this week, boxed them back up and sending them back tomorrow. Awful sound quality no matter what price.

Yes the deal price has ended, they go on and off lightning deals at this price and then sell out super fast! Keep your eye on the item page or set it up so amazon emails you when they are on offer / back in stock so you do not miss them! ;)

As per above reviews. Have a couple of them in a drawer as spares as the control was constantly getting caught in a shirt collar when using them on my commute.

Sorry I'm no sound engineer but these are awful, really awful, I'd say about 50% worse than apple earphones and that's saying something.

Very poor quality. I bought few months ago. Rubbish.

I've got these and they aren't too bad I use them for watching football on line, they last long enough for what I need them for, I'm ordering another couple of pairs so that there's always a set fully charged.

Yeah, I have these. Connects fine to the phone. Lasts a couple of hours battery. Sound quality tinny and grim though. Fine for a cheap shot or for use as car hands-free. Hot at this price.

Just tried with my Ps4 and couldn't get it to pair so I think the answer is a no I'm afraid.

Do these work with the PS4 for Party talk? My headphones are done now, like the idea that there's no wires attached.

Mine have pretty much just been delivered to my door. Had a quick go with them on Spotify and can't believe how good they sound for 30 quid.

Just had a call from CPW - arrived in Newark store - happy kids....

I have a pair of these, they make me look like im waiting for a jumbo jet to land. I hate them.

wrong. Bowers & Wilkins (P7 and PX) Bang & Olufsen (H7 , H8 ,H9) all easily beat the very best of Sennheiser Bluetooth models

Nothing beats Sennheiser imo.

I have a pair of non Blue tooth Pioneer headphones, & they are the best I have heard at any price, the sound is natural, however they are uncomfortable to wear for long periods.

Would add that this item has been around £45+ in Amazon Warehouse for a very good to like new item in the past.

He’s taking the p155. The question they were responding to was silly

Ordered 2. Thanks OP

They look very identical to a pair I bought from Amazon for about £12, which have been good. They pair to two devices which is really handy. Very solid connection, reasonable if not amazing sound. I've bought a couple just as back ups. Thanks OP, great deal.

I bought a pair of these for £6ish on eBay. Do not waste your money! The sound quality is beyond dire. I tested them at the gym and had to remove them after a couple of minutes as the sound was almost painful. It's possible I received a faulty pair, but I suspect it is more likely that you get what you pay for in this case....

And Bose rips me off with 200 £'s and tell me to switch location on (GPS Switched ON) the device to control the device using their app. Why do i need the app ? Because i can control the noise cancellation level on the app. Every time i set it once, it automatically returns back to the original setting of full noise cancellation level every time i turn on the device. Else everytime i switch on the device, i have to press the button 5-6 times to bring the device to my desired level of noise cancellation setting. Hate Bose....

Bought these the last time they were on offer but sent them back. I found them uncomfortable and also not loud enough. Then again, they only cost £10 so good value if you have a smaller head and are happy with the max volume.

Apple AirPods Bluetooth Earphones £112.51 from Tobydeals

Apple AirPods. Seem a good deal? What do you guys think.

"they just want a copy from china".. except tobydeals/gearbest do not sell copies of anything...hmm I have had more bad experiences with sites like than I have from chinese stores. For moderately priced items I'd definitely take the warranty gamble to save some money and buy from them.

The big difference with these grey imports is that they are Apple. So unlike certain brands Apple don’t care where in the world you purchase their products from, they cover it under the same worldwide warranty... unlike most other brands who only provide warranty based on the country of sale intended.

Google it. Search HUKD. *NOBODY* has got Toby Cavery Deals to honour anything. Grey imports. Google that too.

Lol you chat nonsense. They are genuine and they ARE covered by Apple warranty

They are genuine, sync as AirPods do with the iPhone and will be covered under Apple warranty with proof of purchase. And I don’t think the Eglobal deal from the other day would have been one of the hottest deals of the day if they were fake and they sync with find my iPhone so you can find your AirPods if you loose them. That doesn’t happen with fakes
