You can get all the live shows and guest house paradiso in the big bottom dvd boxset, but seems out of stock everywhere and ebay cheapest 60 pound so seems to have got rare.

Noticed Zavvi also have some 4K titles on offer as well and hopefully other companies follow suit i was going to order from zoom but they still haven’t despatched my 4K player which was ordered over a week back now so don’t really want more orders stuck with them especially if I can’t play the films until the player turns up. Hopefully it will arrive soon as customer service response isn’t quick and looking at reviews online don’t seem great recently either

I went Gladiator, Ghostbusters, and Watchmen.

Itll be 4k if they say it is, just they are using a low bitrate causing a noticable difference.

These look fantastic in 4k to be honest, watched all three the other week. super clean image, colours are alot brighter too. In terms of the movies 1 is fantastic, 2 is pretty dire and 3 is great. worth picking up at this price, thanks op (y)

I've used download codes from Poundland blu rays before that are over a year out of date and they still work,so you might get lucky with these.

And this is why DVDs will forever continue to be relevant, more so than Blu Ray ever will to this day for many with any sort of disc spinner. Had the same problem the other day when a friend wanted to watch a movie I had on Blu Ray only to find out that they only had a DVD player and couldn't watch it.

Fair enough. There are people (like my wife) that claim that they cannot tell the difference between 1080p, 4k and 8k. They can definately tell the difference between dvd and full hd on a 55inch tv. It's like wearing glasses

I've tried to get the older members of my family to embrace Blu Ray, as they have HD tellies. But they aren't interested. So if I ever buy them a film as a present, it has to be on DVD. They have also turned down the offer of Blu Ray players as they see them as more complicated. I've given up trying to convert them.

The TR7 vs Scooter race scene is some of the tensest drama ever committed to film. Heat for the glorious series it is.

I loved this series a lot and somehow the opening tune has a nostalgic effect on me. I was hoping there would be more seasons but I guess ending it on a high note leaves a lasting effect on the audience.

Both seasons are on Now tv. Can get an entertainment pass for a month for less than £4.99 and have access to other programs too. I personally thought the episodes were very ‘samey’. Watched and enjoyed the first 3 or 4 then gave up.

Loved this show - looking forward to the next season :)

Couple of other good hospital series on USA TV as well at the moment The Resident & New Amsterdam, if you like these sort of dramas.

They definitely should have had another few episodes to finish it better. Never mind, I'll go and start moaning about the ending to Lost & Dexter again now (lol)

Ah well, she does come from a family with a history of sliding into madness! Also, the ending would have been signposted by GRRM himself. It's not as if they've deviated from the books. Having said that, GRRM lost interest 20 years ago. By 2000 (and in 5 short years) he had completed over half the ASoIaF text currently available. Since then it's been like pulling teeth. And although I don't mind the direction the ending took, I do agree it felt very rushed. S7+S8 should have been 10+10 episodes at least, or another series or two.

I think it's mainly because in the last series she was killing anyone and everyone indiscriminately, without no proper character development IMHO. Earlier seasons the killing was mostly understandable, but it feels like they changed her character just for the sake of finishing the story.

Couldn't have put it better myself. It's such a crying shame.

I must have been watching a different show. Daenerys has been indiscriminately killing (and without remorse) from series 1 onwards. Only some trusted advisors were keeping her in check. I think some people lost sight of this because by and large her victims usually deserved it.

I feel the same, season 4. just did not work for me. with all that was going on with the show. it did feel like a filler. done in a rush. the book it was based on. was a better read than the show. up to speed with all the books. now they can take the time to do it right

It's based on a series of ongoing novels and other works. There was always a plan for more seasons. However Syfy didn't renew and Amazon came in to pick up the series. I'd say that's very fortunate we get more of the best sci-fi/space opera on TV since Battlestar Galactica.

Seasons 1-3 were good and had a nice story arc that ended well.....unfortunately then they made a Season 4!!!!

Yep, same here. They run these offers to bump their viewing figures but never cough up the vouchers from what I've read. Tried for myself a couple months back; even got the email about the offer right in my inbox - the follow-up voucher email never arrived.

Date is still set for Nov 18th this year, was originally meant to come out in March and was moved before this virus appeared on this side of the world.but yeah will be a while before they have a complete collection, probably this time next year when the blu-ray comes out

Discs are expensive if you buy them new. I mostly buy, sell and trade 2nd hand discs, or buy special offers. So I rarely pay more than 15 quid. For example Godzilla 2 cost me 13 quid brand new, Kong cost me 10 quid 2nd hand or might have even been a trade.

Haha, I've been doing a digital transformation. Mostly because it's cheaper for 4K films. Discs are ridiculously expensive imo. So iTunes is where I'm mostly at (embarrassed)

Tbh I've got so much backlog I haven't watched much iTunes recently lol. I know it is the best streaming service for picture and sound quality so either way it should still look and sound decent.

That won't be until a really long while as Godzilla v Kong been delayed until sometime next year
